Chapter 149 I'm Normal

Suddenly, Sun Xingchao's voice came from beside her, but he wasn't speaking to her; he was speaking to the cleaning lady, "Aunt Chen, I'd like you to explain what a 'friends-with-benefits' means?"

The cleaning lady's expression changed. She didn't turn around to look at Sun Xingchao, but instead picked up her mop and walked forward, saying as she went, "Really, what's wrong with my ears? Why can't I hear anything all of a sudden? I have to go to the hospital to get it checked out after I finish cleaning."

Xu Moran, "..."

She admired the cleaning lady's acting skills; she truly admired her.

Sun Xingchao stood at the door of his office, looking at Xu Moran from a short distance away, and said in a clear voice, "Xiao Xu, don't listen to other people's nonsense, I'm perfectly normal."

Xu Moran was embarrassed. He scratched his head, gave Sun Xingchao an awkward smile, and then turned and ran towards the office.

Sun Xingchao watched Xu Moran's retreating figure and let out a long sigh. He had been selfish; when he had the chance to see the deputy last time, he hadn't mentioned Xu Moran to her.

Everyone has their own destiny. Xu Moran now has Xiao Anhe by his side, so whether or not to acknowledge his kinship with the deputy is no longer so important.

Xu Moran returned to her office, tidied up a bit, and then planned to go home.

We're leaving for X city tomorrow. Since I'll be taking Xu Ye with me, there's a lot to prepare. Also, Xiao Mei needs to be boarded at a pet store.

When Xu Moran reached the roadside, he splurged once again and took a taxi back.

The number of cars in City B is increasing, and the roads are becoming more and more congested. The taxi was stuck in traffic all the way, and at one traffic light, it took five minutes to get through. Xu Moran lost her patience. At this speed, it was definitely not as fast as taking the subway. After agreeing with the driver, she paid the fare and got out of the car.

As she walked toward the subway entrance, for some reason, as if sensing something, she turned her head to look across the street.

For a moment, she was stunned when she saw him; she had actually seen Xu Ye.

That's right, this person is Xu Ye. His appearance and figure are eye-catching no matter where he goes. After living with her for a while, she couldn't possibly be mistaken.

Shouldn't Xu Ye have gone back?

How come you're still here?

With that thought in mind, Xu Moran ran across the road. Luckily, there was a traffic jam this time, which allowed her to cross the road smoothly.

Xu Ye has disappeared!

She stood where she had just seen Xu Ye, looking around in all directions, but couldn't see him at all.

If she weren't so confident in her eyesight, she would have thought she was seeing things, but in fact, she really wasn't mistaken.

Xu Ye did indeed appear.

When she couldn't see Xu Ye, her first reaction was to take out her phone and call him.

Just as she took out her phone, a hand suddenly gripped her waist, and a voice, accompanied by his breath, rang out almost close to her ear, "Ranran, were you looking for me?"

Xu Moran's attempt to grab the other person's neck with her hand was halted before it even began. She didn't look down at the hand on her waist, but instead looked toward the face beside her.

He was incomparably handsome and captivating.

"Xu Ye," Xu Moran asked the man beside her, "you made an appointment."

She voiced her intuition instead of questioning Xu Ye.

Xu Ye sensed Xu Moran's tone and readily nodded in acknowledgment, "Ranran, I did make an appointment."

"Who?" Xu Moran heard his own voice and blurted it out without thinking.

"An..." Just as Xu Moran finished speaking, an old voice followed his voice.
