Red smoke emanated from its body, forming patches of color. These varying shades of red, mixed with a small amount of gold, resembled bird-shaped flames. Almost instantly, they were absorbed by the nearby ruby and vanished from my palm.
In contrast, the weight of the ruby that I had been holding in my left hand had increased slightly. After a brief comparison, I could tell that the increased weight was exactly the weight of the little thing that had been curled up in my palm.
"They actually managed to get their hands on a phoenix chick... I know Hui went to the Crimson Flame Land before, but how exactly did they manage to get one..."
The female knight exclaimed in surprise again, and then I glared at her fiercely.
