Chapter 367 Game Theory

After taking a few deep breaths, Li Ke felt extremely oppressed by the protective gear on her body. She even wanted to reach out and tear off all the restraints. A moist scent wafted from the depths of the cave, drawing Li Ke further inside.

Feeling the scorching heat emanating from the cave entrance, Li Ke walked deeper into the cave. The further in he went, the more soil structures appeared.

When Li Ke slowly came to her senses, her right hand had unconsciously plunged into the damp soil. It was a sticky soil that didn't feel uncomfortable on her hand.

Driven by this feeling, her other hand reached out to touch the cave wall. Just as she was about to get it on, Li Ke suddenly regained her senses. Seeing the dirt on her right hand, she even tried to shake it off with some fear.

After cleaning up, Li Ke quickly retreated from the depths of the cave that had been drawing her in; she didn't want to become a mud-covered figure like the miners.

Shaking her head, Li Ke ran towards the cave entrance. She didn't understand what was going on. In terms of physical strength and mental fortitude, she was undoubtedly much stronger than most people, so why was her resistance underground so weak?

Without time to think too deeply, Li Ke had already rescued the people and gained some benefits. She figured the spatial anomaly was probably due to being too close to underground energy. Whatever the reason, she decided to leave this place and return to the surface first.

Once outside the cave, Li Ke began to climb upwards. This was a very simple thing for her; in just half a second, she had already climbed five or six meters. Li Ke climbed up the protrusions on the cave wall and leaped upwards again.

Suddenly, she felt a dizzying sense of weightlessness, and her attempt to cling to something failed. The protrusion that should have been above her head suddenly became a horizontal surface.

Her hand had already grasped that spot, but due to the sudden vertical drop, she lost her grip and her entire body plummeted downwards, crashing into the cave wall on the other side.

It was as if an invisible hand was manipulating the hollow mine shaft. After several violent shaking and collisions, Li Ke was finally smashed to the deepest part of the mine shaft, landing on a pile of thick and messy crystals.

Through the goggles, Li Ke could see faint lights beneath the crystals—the glow of the light-generating minerals, hidden beneath the pile of crystals. Li Ke closed his eyes and struggled to turn over.

The physical pain was negligible, but the feeling of being about to explode and melt was much more intense. Li Ke roared at the void.

It wasn't her imagination; a mysterious force had just overturned the cave, slamming her deep underground, with the purpose of keeping her there. This kind of force was beyond human capability, and Li Ke felt she needed to change her thinking.

Something here wanted to keep her here, wanted to melt her away; besides the light energy mine below, Li Ke couldn't think of anything else.

Once she recovered and sat up, she suddenly realized that she was in a crystal pit, probably created by her fall.

Li Ke stood up, intending to get out of the pit first, but things were much more complicated than she had thought. Not only could she not lift her feet, but they were also sinking deeper and deeper.

Li Ke picked up all the crystals around her feet and threw them aside. Even with nothing blocking her way, she still couldn't lift her foot out.

Standing there, Li Ke silently thought about the things in her space, and tried to take out a bottle of water, but failed.

She looked down at her feet; she was still more than ten meters away from the solar energy mine. The white protective gear on her body had turned beige. Li Ke thought that the existence of these crystals was probably also a kind of invisible protection.

Li Ke picked up a crystal and silently chanted "take it." Suddenly, his hand was empty. He gritted his teeth and watched this scene. After a cold laugh, Li Ke's expression turned into a bitter laugh.

What's the use of collecting them? Once she's collected all these crystals, she'll be melted by the light energy ore. This guy seems determined to devour her, clinging tightly to her feet.

Li Ke's heart skipped a beat because of this sudden thought: yes, the underground solar energy mine wanted to devour her.

But what's so special about her is that she has a space almost the same size as Earth, and this space has recently consumed a lot of solar energy.

Having figured all this out, Li Ke felt that this might be a game between space and underground mineral resources, and that he had been tricked by the space around him.

However, Li Ke quickly came to terms with it. Although she was currently burdened by the space, she had also genuinely benefited greatly from it. She could only find a way to overcome the current predicament on her own.

Although smoke still lingered inside the base, the turmoil had ended for quite some time. Not long after Li Ke went down into the mine, the gunfire also stopped, because the people inside the base had realized that the bullets in the smoke had mostly injured their own people.

After quelling the rebellion, the guard leader, unable to locate the three most important base leaders, quickly took over the work here, carrying out the integration and rescue of the wounded and the investigation of the base.

The final investigation revealed that nearly two hundred guards were killed and more than one hundred were injured. Apart from those whose necks were broken, most of them died from their own bullets.

Even worse, all the warehouses in their base had been emptied.

Upon hearing the report from his subordinates, the guard leader's face grew increasingly grim. There was no way to cover it up anymore, but if he reported it, the three base leaders would all be missing, and his fate wouldn't be much better.

It's impossible not to report it, because if they eat this meal, they won't have anything to eat next, and they can't hold out for long.

The guards at the solar mine reported that the first two shifts of guards had gone missing, as had the slaves who were in charge of cooking.
