Inside, a few tables were set up for serving tea, and two to three qipaos were displayed around. The waitresses who were serving tea inside were also dressed in qipaos. The place wasn’t big, but there was another area, probably filled with other things.
The arrival of Yu Ting and Lu Nanchen quickly caught the attention of the waitress. A woman of similar age came over and cheerfully asked, "What can I get for you both?"
Lu Nanchen remained quiet, standing silently behind Yu Ting, following her orders.
Yu Ting looked around at the interior, then at the woman, thought for a moment before walking aside to sit down. In a calm and casual manner, she asked, "Which tea here is the best?"
"We take pride in our oolong tea. It has the freshness of green tea and the sweetness of black tea, with many positive reviews. If you’re a girl, you can try our medicinal tea, it’s a blend of medicinal herbs and tea leaves, which aids in dissolving the herbs for better absorption."
The waitress explained earnestly.
After ordering two cups of tea, as she watched more and more tourists entering the shop, Yu Ting curiously asked the waitress, "Where are they going? What’s in there?"
"Madam, these customers are going to look at clothes." The waitress replied with a smile, "At our store, our main focus is qipaos. Inside, there are both ready-made and tailor-made qipaos." 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶
"Tailor-made qipaos?"
Hearing this, Yu Ting asked, with one hand propping her chin and the other rolling her hair, appearing quite curious.
Once the tea was served, Yu Ting took a few quick sips before getting up to investigate the inside of the shop.
Unexpectedly, the interior was much more spacious than the tea-serving area. The classic decor included a backdrop for photography, with women posing in qipaos. The mannequins around were all dressed in various styles of qipaos, with round, v-neck, teardrop, square, and scalloped collars, etc.
The length of the slit varied with each dress too.
Upon closer look, Yu Ting noticed the superior craftsmanship and fine materials used in each piece.
Aside from women’s qipaos, there was also a small section displaying a few dark-colored Tian Suits with immaculate creases.
A middle-aged woman was sitting in the center of the crowd, probably the shop owner. Her Ink-black hair was neatly done up, and she was clad in a qipao with a robust figure. A hot cup of tea was sitting by her side.
Once the previous customer had finished, it was Yu Ting’s turn. The shop owner asked, "Did you see something you like?"
"Yes, we plan to have a pair made for me and my husband." Yu Ting frankly stated, then expressed her desired style to the shop owner.
The shop owner deliberated for a moment, picked out two outfits for Yu Ting and Lu Nanchen, then scrutinized their figures, "These are the only two ready-made suits that fit. If you’re unsatisfied, miss, you can consider custom-made, which takes about two months."
"However, the ready-made Tian suits in our shop don’t have your husband’s size, so I selected a Western suit and a Republic-era military suit according to your husband’s measurements."
The shop owner stated honestly.
"I brought one of each for you to try. If you don’t like them, then you might have to consider custom-making a Tian suit."
After Yu Ting confirmed there were no issues, they started trying on the clothes.
Nanchen was the first to change into the military suit.
