Shen Ruchu was visibly irritated by Yu Ting’s calm composure. Her makeup was smudged and her face showed signs of exhaustion from running around, making her look like a golden casket filled with rotten wood, very worn out.
With only a few minutes left until the eight o’clock shareholders’ meeting, the atmosphere in the conference room was extremely tense, the scene somewhat chaotic due to the heated discussions of over a dozen people.
As soon as Shen Ruchu entered the conference room, she landed both hands with a thud on the table beside Yu Ting, and stood there looking down at her menacingly.
Unfazed, Yu Ting demonstrated an air of confident hospitality, lifting one hand and pointed to the chair beside her, saying with a smile, "Since you’re here, please take a seat. The shareholders’ meeting is about to start."
There was a while before the shareholders’ meeting would actually start, and Shen Ruchu spat out aggressively, "Come out with me."
Seeing Shen Ruchu’s flustered and exasperated state, Yu Ting slightly curled her lips and obediently stood up to follow her out of the room.
The outcome wasn’t important.

Thus, two women powerful enough to dominate half of the entertainment industry left the conference room one after the other. After walking some distance down the corridor, Yu Ting followed Shen Ruchu into a room on the top floor.
It was a place where Southwest Entertainment usually conducted business with its partners.
As soon as they entered the room, Shen Ruchu turned to face Yu Ting, her whole being so enraged that her veins were bulging.
"Speak up, what do you want."
"What exactly do you want from me!"
"Money? How much do you want, I’ll give it to you. There are blank checks in the tea table drawer, you fill in the amount!"
She was on the verge of losing control.
And that was indeed the case.
Shen Ruchu was utterly falling apart.
First were the numerous setbacks in the company, having their potential partners poached, and those with whom contracts were signed defying them because of VG, and now secretly buying into Southwest Entertainment’s shares.
Employees betraying the company, partners abandoning her, business associates casting doubts...
Shen Ruchu simply couldn’t cope, she was taken completely off guard.
She had no idea that a mere girl could be this troublesome!
After those words, seeing Yu Ting pay no attention to her, Shen Ruchu yelled even louder, "Say something! If it’s not money you want, then what, power?"
"I can talk to my father and have him take you along to some high society events."
"The Shen Family has extensive connections."

Silence.
An endless silence.

"Say something."
After a while, Shen Ruchu became very agitated.
She kept questioning Yu Ting.

These two sentences made Yu Ting laugh.
