But when she looked over alertly, the gaze disappeared again, incredibly wary.
Yu Ting glanced down at the table, her eyebrows furrowed in thought but not saying anything. She watched as some inebriated men filled her glass with Romane-Conti wine. The red liquid, under the warm-colored lights, looked even more tempting, and all around her were sounds of the sponsor’s encouragement.
Song Zhan sitting next to her had also drunk quite a lot, his ears entirely red and his eyes slightly blurry.
Drinking his own share was tolerable, but also shielding Yu Ting from drinking was slightly too much for him to handle.
Having a little drink while discussing business at the dinner table, Yu Ting didn’t find it problematic at all, especially as she could hold her drink well and sipping moderately wouldn’t hurt.
"Then I’ll drink to the success of Director Sun’s new film. Hopefully, I can bask in your reflected glory," Yu Ting picked up her wine glass, swirled it in the air before lightly toasting towards the crew’s side, and then finished the drink in one gulp.
Her lips were stained with traces of wine after sipping from the glass, making her appear even more enchanting.

However, there was no improvement, she became more dizzy and started to feel light-headed and weak, following the after-effects of the red wine.
She then stood by the sink, slapping her face trying to sober up and get through the rest of the meal.
"Eh, what do you do at VG?" A tall and skinny man approached her. His thin stature made him appear frail, his eye sockets deep, and his skin was sallow, a sign of excessive indulgence. His lifeless eyes were full of desire.
"What’s the point of joining a company that’s only been open for a few days? Are you that desperate?"
"I say, instead of working at that company, why don’t you join me? I’m an executive at Xingchuan Idols, you know Xingchuan Entertainment, right? It’s the number one company for trainees."
"Just keep me happy, becoming a manager at Xingchuan will be a breeze..."
