Chapter 25 The Laziest Man in the Countryside
After the food was served, Huang Jie glanced at Ji Huaizhi and saw the dishes they had prepared.
He finally made up for the meal he had at the state-run restaurant.
During the meal, everyone became familiar with each other, and Brother Ji almost managed to get all the information out of him while chatting with him.
Before they had even finished eating, they already knew why he had come here, and thought to themselves how lucky the young man was.
The leader became the senior student.
The road ahead will be much easier.
As they spoke, the older brothers also spoke well of their younger brother, hoping to improve his image in Huang Jie's eyes and get him more support in the future.
Huang Jie looked at Ji Huaizhi after hearing their conversation. He had misunderstood; Ji Huaizhi was a good person.
His tendency to take advantage of others stems from his concern for his family; his shirking of work and tendency to sleep in are signs of a past illness; his unreliability is simply due to his meticulousness; and the timing of his promises is simply inappropriate.
Otherwise, the master wouldn't have entrusted Pearl Sister to him.
After dinner, it got dark outside.
Ji Hong had the children wash up and go back to their rooms early.
Then Ji Huaizhi took Huang Jie out for a stroll.
"Shouldn't Pearl go?" She was afraid that too many people would make a commotion.
"Pearl can help us keep watch and carry things," Ji Huaizhi said, gesturing for Pearl to come with him.
Huang Jie and Ji Huaizhi were carrying a lot of things, while Pearl only had a flashlight to shine on.
"Pearl, I'm relieved to see you're doing well," Huang Jie said breathlessly on the way.
He could tell that the Ji family was very united and harmonious, and Pearl was very relaxed in front of them. She could even act coquettishly with her aunt. Now he felt that Pearl going to the countryside was not a bad thing.
"Don't worry, Huaizhi and his family treat me very well, and Huaizhi is also very good to my parents."
Huang Jie nodded at Li Zhenzhu's words.
That put his mind at ease.
Ji Huaizhi suddenly spoke up: "Pearl, be careful, there are many stones here."
Huang Jie: "......"
When Li Decai saw his student here, he was overwhelmed with joy. Hearing that the student had gone to such great lengths to come and see him, he felt a warmth in his heart.
"My relationship with my teacher's wife is pretty good, and now that Pearl is by my side, I'm already very content."
He Xianglan was indifferent to Li Decai's students; it's likely that she disliked all of Li Decai's students, except for her son-in-law.
She just sat in the corner talking to Huaizhi and Zhenzhu.
Huang Jie looked at his master's legs with moist eyes, and his hatred for that bitch intensified.
"Master, I will definitely avenge you!"
Li Decai waved his hand: "Don't get involved in some of these grudges. With my older brother involved, he won't have an easy time either."
"You should focus on being a good doctor in the provincial capital. Just write to me later, and the pearls will be brought to me. There's no need for you to come all this way in person."
Huang Jie: "I'm really worried about you. I'll try to take you to the hospital to get your leg checked..."
Before he could finish speaking, Li Decai interrupted him: "No, let's leave it at that."
"It's good that you have this intention." Li Decai was not as glamorous as before.
Huang Jie felt that he wouldn't recognize him if they bumped into each other outside.
"Don't tell outsiders that I'm your master, and don't confront your senior brother either. He's ruthless and you'll easily fall into his trap." Li Decai also wanted him to go further.
Don't repeat your old mistakes.
"Go back," Li Decai urged them to leave.
Huang Jie lowered his head: "Master and Mistress, I'll be leaving now. Keep the things I brought and use them slowly. I'll come back later."
I walked out without looking at their expressions.
After saying goodbye to Ji Huaizhi, Li Zhenzhu followed.
He Xianglan remained expressionless throughout. Li Decai sighed, "He is a good man, unlike Wang Zhi."
"So what? It's still a feud between the three of you."

Seeing his master and mistress's living conditions, Huang Jie felt distressed, as he felt he had brought too little.
After that, he would occasionally bring things to the Ji family's house.
When the others saw this, they finally couldn't help but ask the Ji family, "What does this person mean?"
Do you have money but nowhere to spend it?
"He and my little brother became sworn brothers, and now they've become sworn brothers by different fathers and mothers," Ji Lao Er said casually, also thinking the man was too reckless.
Huang Jie also knew he wouldn't be able to stay here for long.
That's why he used all the money he had to buy things and left them at the Ji family's place.
He gave part of it to the Ji family, and hoped they could occasionally send some to his master.
When leaving, Ji Huaizhi asked Zhenzhu to come with him. On the train, Zhenzhu solemnly thanked him. She had seen too much of the coldness and warmth of human relationships.
Huang Jie truly treats his parents as his own.
"This is all I should do. You know, Master and Mistress are here because of me," Huang Jie said apologetically.
“I will send things over from time to time. You can also call me if you need anything. I have written down my work phone number for Huaizhi.”
"Don't hide it from me," Huang Jie said solemnly.
"Okay, I understand." Pearl nodded.
Ji Huaizhi handed him two portions of dried goods and a lot of boiled eggs: "Take these back and eat them, and give one to Pearl's uncle."
Pearl smiled and said, "Thank you for your trouble."
"It's nothing, I didn't expect you to prepare a gift for me." Huang Jie accepted the gift and looked at Ji Huaizhi with gratitude.
“My parents prepared this, after all, you brought so many things to my house, they are the ones who feel bad.” Ji Huaizhi glanced at Pearl.
Pearl took out a handkerchief and gave it to him.
Ji Huaizhi put the things in the pocket of his shirt: "Keep it safe so no one can touch it."
"You probably don't have a single penny left after buying the ticket, right? Here, take it."
"How could I possibly accept this?" Huang Jie said anxiously, but both of his hands were full.
Ji Huaizhi waved his hand: "Let's go. No matter what, you are my senior brother. Consider this a token of my respect."
After saying that, he pushed him onto the train.
Huang Jie was pushed forward, and he tightly protected the things in his hands and the handkerchief in his pocket.
I only took out the handkerchief from my pocket after getting into the sleeper berth; it was full of loose change.
As the train moved, he saw Pearl and Ji Huaizhi flash past him.
On the way back, Li Zhenzhu sighed, "I thought you didn't like Huang Jie."
"Why wouldn't I like him? He's such a rare sucker."
Li Zhenzhu thought this man was sly and mischievous. She gently pinched his waist.
After returning to the hospital, Huang Jie ran into Wang Zhi. The moment he saw him, Huang Jie felt a surge of annoyance and was about to ignore him when Wang Zhi blocked his way.
"I heard you went on a business trip to the town closest to them recently?"
Huang Jie looked up, grabbed him by the collar with both hands, but the other man had a smile on his lips: "What are you afraid of?"
"I just came to catch up with you."
"What right do you have to mention them? Let me tell you, don't do anything underhanded behind my back, or I'll get you sooner or later." Huang Jie's expression was somewhat ferocious.
All eyes turned to them.
But he was not afraid at all.
“I already said I came to catch up with you, junior brother. You’re taking it too seriously.” Wang Zhi shook off his hand, straightened his white coat, and said, “By the way, I heard that Master’s daughter went to the countryside.”
Did you see her this time?
"It's a bit of a pity. I used to think that my master would marry his daughter to me, but I didn't expect that his family didn't think much of me at all."
Huang Jie snorted coldly after hearing his words.
She turned and left, ignoring his self-congratulatory behavior.
This kind of person will be brought down sooner or later.
