Chapter 256 Peace Every Year

Zhou Xian didn't understand, but he followed her finger. His big eyes blinked, his eyelashes were long, and his innocent and cute look made Jiang Ling's mouth curl up, and she kissed him twice on the face.

Zhou Jing'an watched from the side with a smile in his eyes. He walked over and kissed her twice on the face. When he turned around, he saw the little girl staring at them blankly, making them laugh.

On the other side, Qi Tianyang left the palace and went home to report his safety, then turned around and went straight to Qingfeng Teahouse.

In the letter he sent back, he wrote that on the day he returned to Beijing, they had agreed to meet in a private room on the second floor of the teahouse.

When he ran upstairs and opened the door, he saw the person he had been thinking about sitting inside. When she heard the noise and raised her head, she fell into his eyes.

Qi Tianyang felt his heart pounding in his chest, his eyes sparkling with joy, and he raised the corners of his lips and called her, "Xiao An!"

Cheng An had just responded when the man suddenly ran in and hugged her in his arms, which scared her.

"You!" Her face flushed red as she pushed his chest, feeling both embarrassed and angry. "How come you've become even more unruly since your trip to Southern Xinjiang?"

Her personal maid was stunned watching from the side, trying to pull him away but not being able to do so, and she stamped her feet anxiously. Qi Tianyang's guards took one look and moved away, unable to bear to watch.

With my beloved in my arms, the rapid beating of my heart almost broke through my eardrums.

He grinned, not letting go, but also too stiff to move.

"Let me hug you, Xiao An, I missed you so much." He stared at her, his eyes filled with her reflection.

Cheng An blushed and glared at him, "Let me go."

"No." He answered very straightforwardly.

Qi Tianyang's mouth never relaxed. "My parents should have been discussing the engagement with my father-in-law and mother-in-law. Xiao An, don't push me away."

She was startled, "You!"

Cheng An raised her fist and hit his chest, "I haven't married you yet! Someone saw us."

Qi Tianyang stiffened his neck and let her hit him. After she finished scolding him, he suddenly frowned and said, "Ouch, it hurts. The wound is about to split open..."

Cheng An put down his fist and asked him nervously, "Where are you hurt? Is it serious?"

He laughed and muttered, "You beat me up, where can I find such a good husband?"

She glared at him with a puffed face and cursed, "Shameless!"

The Duke of Qi's Mansion and the Cheng Mansion formed a marriage alliance and planned to get engaged after the New Year, and there was another gust of wind before the New Year.

As the Lunar New Year approaches, every household begins to prepare New Year's goods and gifts in a hurry.

Jiang Ling consciously wanted to help. After all, as the young lady, she still had to learn how to manage household chores and deal with interpersonal relationships.

Jiang Lan and Xia Zhixian didn't allow her to interfere, saying that they were not old yet and it was not her turn to worry about these things.

So Jiang Ling not only had some free time, but was also asked by the whole family to continue taking care of herself, and she ended up staying in confinement for even longer.

Jiang Ling was thankful that it was winter, so staying indoors wasn't too unbearable. Otherwise, if it were summer, with no wind or cool air, staying indoors for a month would be unbearable.

On February 25th, the New Year's Eve palace banquet was held as scheduled. Zhou Jing'an asked for grace for Jiang Ling and Zhou Xian so that they didn't have to go to the palace. One was still in confinement and the other had just turned one month old. The two stayed in Qiyun Pavilion to celebrate the New Year in warmth.

Jiang Ling was enjoying her free time, lying on the couch and playing with the child.

Suddenly a whirlwind blew up, and Fox appeared before her.

"Silly!" she exclaimed in surprise.

She sent Zizhen and the others downstairs to rest, leaving only her and Zhou Xian in the room.

Fox twisted its soft little body and snuggled into her arms.

"Host!"

A pair of fox eyes were big and bright, and Foxy touched Jiang Ling's face with its little paws, "Host, do you miss Foxy?"

Jiang Ling took it into her arms and rubbed it for a while, smiling with her eyes curved, "I've thought about it."

"Why are you here?"

Foxy blinked, "Isn't today Chinese New Year? I came to wish you a happy new year!"

It learned the words from other systems and spun around to bow to Jiang Ling: "Happy New Year to the host! Become more beautiful! Become younger!"

Jiang Ling was amused by it and laughed, "Getting younger and younger? Then I may not be able to do it."

It was only then that Fox finally discovered the existence of the other little guy.

"Wow!" It blinked its bright eyes and moved closer to Zhou Xian, its fox tail wagging back and forth. "Is he the little host?"

Jiang Ling couldn't help laughing and nodded, "Yes, his name is Zhou Xian, and he is my son."

Fox's face was full of surprise and curiosity. He circled around him but didn't dare to go forward.

"He's so small and soft." It lay beside Zhou Xian, holding up its face to look at him.

Zhou Xian waved his little fist and looked at Jiang Ling. Seeing that she was laughing happily, he also giggled.

Hu Hu opened his eyes wide in shock and turned to ask Jiang Ling, "Can he speak?"

"Not yet." Jiang Ling shook her head, "He's only one month old."

The fox turned its head and stared at him again, its furry tail wagging, showing its good mood at the moment.

"He looks a bit like the host." It looked for a long time and made a comment.

Jiang Ling also lay down, and the man and the fox stood beside Zhou Xian.

"Oh? Are they similar? How are they similar?"

Fox looked at them and concluded, "The mouths are similar."

It glanced at Jiang Ling's raised mouth, then at Zhou Xian's smiling little mouth, and nodded, "His mouth is very similar to the host's. When he smiles, it looks like a paper boat, the kind that the host put into the river before. It also looks like the moon, curved and very beautiful."
