Chapter 43 The Yandere Vampire Prince Falls in Love with a Poor Girl (11)

Pandora raised a new question: "Although bishops are by the Lord's side, there has never been a female pope before, so if a bishop becomes pope, there will still be opponents."

Lillian thought for a moment and said, "Yes."

Ai Cao smiled and brushed it off, saying, "We don't know what the bishop thinks yet. Let's talk about it later."

They fell silent, each lost in their own thoughts.

The carriage moved along the quiet street.

The beautiful streets were left behind by the carriage as they arrived at the edge of a somewhat dilapidated town.

Pandora slowed the carriage down. She said, “There’s no trace of vampires here yet. Today is the only day in the last ten days with a gray sky. They will surely come.”

The carriage stopped at a ruin. Lillian blinked, looked at the slightly dusty-faced child peeking out from behind the half-wall, and greeted the child with a smile.

The child quickly shrank back behind the wall.

It was clearly daytime, yet the sky had clearly darkened.

Pandora's expression turned serious. She asked, "Are you going to stay in the carriage?"

Lillian shook her head and jumped down from the carriage first. Ai Cao followed behind her and also got off the carriage.

The three of them stood silently beside the carriage.

Ai Cao looked up at the sky. The round sun had an unusually pale color. It was more like a full moon that hadn't set the night before than a sun.

It seemed like only a moment had passed. The sun was shrouded in a deeper haze, turning from its original pale white to a more somber gray-white.

The mugwort bowed its head, wondering if it was a fake sun.

Pandora whispered, "Get ready."

Ai Cao responded and drew her pistol. She checked that the safety and magazine were ready, then added a few more holy water bullets to the magazine.

Lillian smiled and grasped the pendant hanging from her chest. Her eyes were half-closed as she whispered to some unknowable being; in her hand, she also held a pistol she had chosen herself.

Pandora's dry voice was like a taut string: "They're here."

A faint sound of wings fluttering arose. Then came a dense, overwhelming sound of wings flapping.

The blackness formed by bats spread from the horizon.

Pandora drew her whip.

Lillian stood up straight with a joyful expression.

Artemisia... Artemisia yawned. She pulled out the system, had it locate the male lead's current position, and prepared to shoot him in a moment.

This time the system didn't stop her, it just said, "Fire a few more shots, otherwise it will be hard to explain."

Ai Cao laughed: "I was going to hit the target with one shot anyway."

The system quipped, "But they're all bats! Can you accurately identify the male lead from a group of bats?"

Ai Cao paused for a moment, then reluctantly said, "Fine, I'll fire a few more shots."

Bats quickly blotted out the sky above the town. When Ai Cao looked up at the sun again, she couldn't even see the color of the sky. The system highlighted the male protagonist's location for Ai Cao, and this bright little dot circled around in her mind again and again.

I'm getting a little impatient waiting for the mugwort.

Pandora lashed out with her whip, swishing down several bats that were on the edge. The bats' black bodies rotted in mid-air, then were chopped into scattered ash by the silver whip.

Pandora whispered, "We can't just kill those low-level vampires. If only we could find the target's location."

Lillian chuckled softly. She closed her eyes, her long hair moving without wind. Then, the black curtain made of bats tore open.

Lillian opened her eyes and said, "He's here."

Ai Cao swiftly raised her gun. She pulled the trigger towards the bat in the hollow. As she fired, she pinched two holy water bullets and hurled them at the bat. The bullets disintegrated on the bat's body, and the scattered holy water caused the bat to scream incessantly.

Black ash mixed with transparent water fell from the sky.

It looked like gray snow.

As Ai Cao emptied her second magazine, the swarm of bats in mid-air began to stir anew.

A black bat, three times the size of the others, slowly flew down toward their location. Ai Cao tried shooting it with two bullets, but the bat didn't react and continued flying slowly.

Pandora clicked her tongue, cracked her whip, and made the bat's little head tilt to the side. But it only stayed in place for half a second before flying back. Pandora was about to crack the whip again when Lillian gently pressed her hand down.

Lillian closed her eyes and said calmly, "Don't worry."

Pandora hesitated and withdrew her whip.

The bat landed on the ground in front of them. Its wings fluttered, and then a cloud of smoke enveloped it—a handsome man slowly stood up.

There were a few fresh scars on his handsome face, but they were minor flaws in an otherwise beautiful face.

The vampire protagonist says, "You will become my blood slave..."

Ai Cao chuckled softly. Ever since the male protagonist started speaking, she had been staring at the broken tooth in his mouth. She rarely laughed like that; she wouldn't be able to resist unless it was genuinely funny.

The male protagonist fell silent. A sinister shadow fell over his handsome face.

He frowned, as if his own dignity had been offended, and after a long pause, he continued, "Become my food..."

The male protagonist said what he wanted to say. Ai Cao, without a second thought, raised the gun, aimed it at the male protagonist's stomach, and pulled the trigger.

The bullet hit the spot she expected, and blood spurted out.

Lillian also raised her gun, smiling as she said, "It's a pity, they all want you dead." As she fired, she said slowly, "Only when you're dead will they have a place to stay."

“If you demolish their house, you must give them a new house.”

Lillian said with a smile.

The male protagonist had several bullets embedded in his body, and his cloak was tattered.

The male protagonist snorted coldly and said, "...I allow you to pledge allegiance to me."

He rolled up his cloak and tried to leave; but his cloak was completely tattered and could not even cover his body.

Tired of firing, Ai Cao simply asked the system, "Is there any way to kill him right now?"

The system quickly replied: "Ask the female lead if any of those souls are willing to be born through the male lead's body. If so, the male lead can be born right now."

They were born and then died completely.

Amidst the lulls in the gunfire, Ai Cao shouted to Lillian, "Lillian! Do you have any souls there that yearn for a new life right now?"

Lillian smiled and exclaimed, "There are so many!"

"I'm going to make the target have a child now!" Ai Cao shouted. "Guide the soul that is willing to be born now into his body!"

"good!"
