Just then, the other educated youth at the settlement heard the commotion and came out. They gathered at the door, watching the farce with curiosity.
"What's going on?" one of the educated youth asked.
"That good-for-nothing Wang Qiang actually sent a matchmaker to propose marriage to Su Yao. He's like a toad trying to eat swan meat!" another educated youth said indignantly.
"That's right, how could Su Yao possibly agree!" Everyone discussed among themselves.
As Zhao Yu pushed the older woman out, he said to the other educated youth, "Don't look anymore, there's nothing to see!"
The woman tried to say something, but under Zhao Yu's forceful urging, she eventually had no choice but to leave the educated youth settlement.
Su Yao had completely collapsed at this point, her emotions surging like a burst dam. Unable to control her tears any longer, she burst into sobs, throwing herself into Zhao Yu's arms. As the educated youth watched the aunt's departing figure, they glanced at Su Yao, who was still crying in Zhao Yu's arms, and each had their own thoughts. Seeing the reactions of the educated youth, Zhao Yu felt a little irritated. He said loudly, "Disperse, everyone! Go do what you were doing!"
Seeing that Zhao Yu looked unwell, the other educated youths dispersed. Zhao Yu then took Su Yao back to her room and continued to comfort her.
