Chapter 48: Educated Youth Going to the Countryside (47)

Inside the room, Lin Qian's expression was also not good. She turned around, walked to the bedside, sat down, and said to 003, "Now that Second Brother Su is here, I wonder how he will handle this matter."

003 responded, "Judging from his demeanor just now, he seemed confident, but things are probably not that simple."

Lin Qian frowned and said, "Su Yao has caused so much trouble, the Su family will definitely not sit idly by. This second brother of Su is not here with good intentions, we must be careful."

003 nodded and said, "Yes, but we can't be afraid of them. Let's see what they're up to."

Lin Qian said firmly, "No matter what, I will not let them succeed so easily."

After finishing dinner at the educated youth settlement, Su Erge said to Su Yao, "Yao Yao, let's go for a walk." Su Yao nodded and followed Su Erge out of the educated youth settlement. The two slowly walked towards the grove next to the settlement.

After entering the grove, Su Erge stopped and looked at Su Yao with a serious expression. He slowly said, "Yao Yao, there's no one else here. Tell me the truth, what exactly happened?"

Su Yao knew she could no longer hide the truth. She bit her lip and began to recount everything that had happened since she was sent to the countryside. Her voice trembled slightly as she told her all about her ulterior motives and the underhanded tactics she had used.

Su's second brother listened quietly, his face growing increasingly grim. After Su Yao finished speaking, he stared at her silently, his gaze seemingly able to see right through her, sending chills down Su Yao's spine. She knew all too well that although her second brother doted on his younger sister, she was also aware of his methods and temper. Therefore, when her second brother asked, she dared not hide anything. After all, her second brother knew her very well, and he had indeed cleaned up many messes for her over the years.

After a long silence, Su Erge slowly spoke, "I've taught you since you were little: don't do things you can't do, and don't do things you're not sure you can handle. Su Yao, you're really something. Is Zhao Yu really worth all this? You've done so many stupid things. Luckily, you knew to call home for help. From now on, listen to me, understand? If you act on your own again, I'll never help you again." His voice was icy cold, devoid of any warmth.

Looking at her second brother's gloomy face, Su Yao felt a surge of fear and regret. She lowered her head and whispered, "I understand, second brother, I'll do whatever you say." Her body trembled slightly, revealing her inner unease.

Looking at Su Yao, Su Erge felt both angry and helpless. He sighed and said, "When will you truly grow up and stop causing your family worry?" With that, he turned and walked out of the woods, and Su Yao quickly followed, not daring to slack off in the slightest.
