The magic mirror seemed to ripple a few times.
Linghu Lan's image appeared in the mirror.
She was pouring and drinking tea, looking completely at ease.
The magic mirror remained silent for a moment before replying, "My dear Queen, I cannot see through her soul, but if possible, please spare her life. My intuition tells me that she and you have a very close relationship; you may come from the same place and share the same soul."
The queen screamed, "Could she also come from the sea? That's impossible; there's only one sorcerer in the sea."
“Perhaps there is another one that you haven’t noticed.” Sunglasses denied the Queen’s words without any politeness. “The sea is vast, but the place you stay is very small. Although I cannot see through her soul, I can smell the same scent on her as yours. I do not lie, my dear Queen.”
"That's right, you can't lie!" The Queen stamped her feet back and forth, a deep worry creeping into her heart. The witch who seemed so difficult to deal with also came from the sea, and she couldn't kill her. The feeling that her identity might be exposed at any moment made her extremely uncomfortable.
The magic mirror swayed a few more times, and this time, the mirror reflected the house of the seven dwarfs. One of the dwarfs was silently eating his meal, preparing to go out to work early.
The Magic Mirror said, "My dear Queen, the King has sent valiant guards into the dark forest, and soon he will obtain the fire boots from the wall of the seven dwarfs."
Two magnificent, fiery red boots, seemingly burning with flames, appeared brightly in the mirror.
"Make this boot disappear!" The queen hurriedly covered her eyes, the fiery flames seeming to devour her soul.
"As you wish, my dear Queen!"
The fire boots disappeared, and the mirror regained its shine.
The queen thought for a moment and said, "I must send someone to stop them. Where are my hunters? Go find them quickly!"
Immediately, two maids rushed over and brought the hunter.
"My dear Queen, what are your orders?" The hunter tried to keep his breathing even. He had run over as fast as he could. He knew that the former hunter had offended the Queen for some reason and had disappeared a long time ago. He didn't want to disappear anytime soon.
"The king has sent men to the Dark Forest to find the seven dwarfs. I need you to get the boots of fire before the king's men arrive."
The hunter looked up in surprise. “I should obey, my queen, but I still have a question: why is this? And how can I obtain a flaming boot?”
The queen did not answer, but instead continued, "The seven dwarfs' fire boots are only effective against wizards; they are harmless to ordinary people. I want you to get the fire boots and immediately throw them into the sea. I never want to see those boots again. When you return, I will reward you handsomely. Do you understand? If you fail to complete the task, your fate will be the same as the previous hunter's!"
The hunter couldn't help but shudder and hurriedly said, "Yes, my dear Queen, I will certainly complete your task."
The hunter rolled over and left.
The queen was left alone pacing back and forth in the palace. She put away the magic mirror, her face revealing a fierce light: she had gone through so much to achieve this beauty, and she would never go back to the endless sea.
