When Huang Zhenhua and his son arrived at the police station, Huang Taihe had just parked the car when Huang Zhenhua opened the door and left. Huang Taihe watched his father's brisk walk, his lips twitching slightly. He thought to himself, "My father could still carry a gun and go to the battlefield."
Huang Zhenhua walked into the police station and saw Su Xingran and Xiao Xue sitting in the lobby. He walked over to the two of them.
Hearing a noise, Su Xingran looked up and saw that it was her master. She stood up. Before Su Xingran could speak, her master spoke first.
"Xingran, Xiaoxue, are you two alright? Why are you at the police station?"
“Master…” Su Xingran had just opened her mouth to say the word “master” when Huang Zhenhua interrupted her.
"Xingran, what happened to your lip? Are you injured? Is there any other injury besides your lip?" Huang Zhenhua didn't notice the injury on Su Xingran's lip when he came in.
Speaking of injuries, Su Xingran took two steps closer to Xiao Xue, feeling a little guilty. She had been punched near the mouth; although she dodged quickly, the punch still landed, albeit with less force. She had also been punched in the back by the man who had pulled her coat collar.
My knuckles were swollen and painful from clenching my fists. I hit those people too hard, and my own hands hurt too.
Despite feeling guilty, she still had to answer her master's questions. "Master, I'm fine, really fine. The injury on my lip was an accident."
Huang Taihe, who came in later, heard what Su Xingran said and glanced at the wound on the corner of her mouth. It was obvious that the injury was from a fight.
"Xiaoxue, tell your uncle if Xingran has any other injuries." Huang Zhenhua saw his apprentice's guilty look and knew she wouldn't admit to any injuries.
Xiao Xue hadn't really seen clearly where Xing Ran was injured when she fought with those people. She only saw the man grab Xing Ran's coat collar. After dealing with those people, the police left, and Xiao Xue came to her senses and noticed that Su Xing Ran's lip was cut and the area around it was swollen.
"Uncle, no, Xingran only has a cut near the corner of her mouth." Xiao Xue originally wanted to say she wasn't sure, but Su Xingran tugged at her clothes, so she changed her mind and said no.
Over there, Huang Taihe was getting information from the police. When he heard that someone had ordered the arrest of Su Xingran and Xiao Xue, his brow furrowed. The two students had just arrived in Beijing; who could be after them?
Huang Taihe showed his military officer's ID, saying, "I am the victim's older brother, and I want to see the suspect."
Upon seeing Huang Taihe's military officer's ID, the policeman saluted. "Sir, I'll take you there right away."
Huang Taihe walked to Huang Zhenhua's side. "Dad, I just found out what happened. Someone ordered the abduction of Xingran and Xiaoxue. I'm going to meet the suspects now to see if I can find out from them who ordered it."
When Huang Zhenhua heard that someone was instructing him to arrest Su Xingran and Xiao Xue, he was just as puzzled. These two children hadn't been in Beijing for very long; why would anyone be targeting them?
After Huang Taihe left with the police, Huang Zhenhua asked Su Xingran and Xiao Xue, "Xingran, Xiao Xue, have you had any conflicts with others at school?"
"Master, that's not true. I get along well with the girls in my dorm. Although I'm not very familiar with my classmates yet, we haven't had any conflicts."
"Uncle, I don't either. I usually eat with Xingran. I don't have any conflicts with anyone in class or in the dormitory."
