Chapter 169 Su's Parents Arrive in Beijing (1/2)

The course is now on track, and things are getting busier. There's a lot to learn in Traditional Chinese Medicine, and a lot of theory. However, Su Xingran has already learned all the knowledge the teacher has covered.

To fit into the class's learning atmosphere, Su Xingran would also take new notes. Teacher Gu Zhang knew that Su Xingran was Huang Zhenhua's apprentice, so he often asked her to answer questions in class.

Su Xingran always answered questions perfectly, and her classmates all thought that a genius had emerged in their class. They couldn't remember the answers even after rote memorization, but Su Xingran could answer them completely without even looking at her notes.

Su Xingran felt helpless about this. She was not a genius at all; she had simply learned the knowledge and memorized it.

That day, Su Xingran received a letter, and she was a little surprised to see the sender's name on it. The letter was sent from Heilongjiang Province, and the sender was Gu Moli.

Su Xingran didn't know why Gu Moli sent her the letter, but out of curiosity, she opened it and read it.

Su Xingran hadn't expected Gu Moli to know about Zhou Siyun's matter. Well, it was understandable that Aunt Gu would bring it up. Seeing Gu Moli specifically apologize to her, Su Xingran thought his attitude in admitting his mistake was quite good.

The letter was short, mainly an apology, with a few words of concern about her studies and school life. Su Xingran thought for a moment and decided to write back, simply stating that she didn't blame him.

Time flies, and tomorrow is Su Xingran's eighteenth birthday. It just so happens that tomorrow is Saturday, so Su Xingran can go home after class this afternoon. Su Xingran is already familiar with the roads, and she always rides her bicycle home with Xiao Xue during holidays.

In the afternoon, Su Xingran and Xiao Xue rode their bicycles home, parting ways at the intersection near their house. When Su Xingran returned to the door, she found Huang Taihe's usual car parked there.

Su Xingran was a little puzzled; it wasn't time to get off work yet. Thinking the door might not be locked, she tried pushing it, and to her surprise, it opened. She carried her bicycle over the threshold and walked into the yard.

After parking her bicycle, Su Xingran walked towards the main hall with her backpack. As soon as she reached the entrance, she wondered if she was hallucinating. If she wasn't seeing things, how could she see her parents sitting on the sofa?

Su Xingran stood motionless at the doorway, her eyes fixed on Su Guomin and his wife. Huang Ma came out of the kitchen and saw Su Xingran standing there, stunned. "Xingran, you're back! Why are you standing there instead of coming in?"

Hearing Aunt Huang's voice, Su Xingran looked at her and said, "Aunt Huang, I think there's something wrong with my eyes. I saw my parents sitting on the sofa. My parents are thousands of miles away from Beijing! How could they be here? They never said they were coming to Beijing."

Looking at the stunned Su Xingran, Huang Ma laughed. She hadn't expected this side of the child; after all, she was still just a child. It was understandable that she wouldn't believe it when she came home to find her parents suddenly appearing.

"Ranran, your father and mother are here." Su's mother, Zeng Huilan, walked towards the entrance of the main hall with a smile.

Su Xingran, who was still in a daze, heard her mother's voice. She looked at her mother walking towards her in surprise. It was really her father and mother.

Su Xingran immediately went to her mother and threw herself into her arms. "Mother, you and Father really came! Why didn't you tell me you were coming to the capital?"

Su's mother stroked Su Xingran in her arms, "Tomorrow is our Ranran's birthday, and also the day she comes of age. Dad and Mom will definitely be here, how could we possibly miss it?"

"I didn't mention it to you because I was afraid you'd keep thinking about it. Your father and I contacted Uncle Huang and told him we wanted to come to Beijing for your birthday. Your father and I just arrived not long ago."

Nestled in her mother's arms, Su Laoxing felt a lump in her throat and tears welled up in her eyes. She had never imagined that her parents would travel so far to celebrate her coming-of-age birthday.
