Chapter 201 Wei Zilin Gets Beaten (2/2)

The towel fell out of his mouth, and Wei Zilin could no longer utter a sound of begging for mercy. He lay on the ground, panting slightly. By the moonlight, he could see a figure completely black. Wei Zilin felt that he was about to die, or at least be crippled.

Su Xingran put the towel on the ground into a plastic bag and put it into her spatial storage along with the stick. She walked over to Wei Zilin, squatted down, took out two pills from her spatial storage, pried open his mouth, stuffed the pills directly into his mouth, and pressed hard on his throat. The pills slid down his throat.

After standing up and confirming that she had not left any traces, Su Xingran did not even glance at Wei Zilin lying on the ground, and went straight to the door to open it and leave.

Gu Moli, who was keeping watch outside, kept a close eye on his surroundings. It wasn't far from the military compound, and although there were no pedestrians on the road at this time, it was still best to be cautious.

Gu Moli wanted to go in with Su Xingran, but Su Xingran refused, saying it would make them too conspicuous. Su Xingran asked Gu Moli to stay outside as a lookout, and Gu Moli, not wanting to refuse, agreed to her suggestion.

Why didn't Su Xingran let Gu Moli come in? She didn't want someone she didn't know well to see another side of her. Also, she needed to retrieve something from her spatial dimension, and it wasn't convenient for anyone else to be present.

Before opening the door, Su Xingran put her hat and mask back into her spatial storage. After opening the door, she quickly took off her gloves, put them behind her back, and threw them into her spatial storage.

After checking the street outside and confirming that no one was around, Su Xingran quickly left the doorway. Gu Moli knew Su Xingran was coming out as soon as the door opened. Once Su Xingran reached his side, Gu Moli quickly followed and they left together.

Gu Moli and Su Xingran walked to the hidden bicycle, took it, and rode away. Gu Moli rode the bicycle around the streets for a while before heading back towards the Gu family home from another location.

Back at the Gu family's pavilion, Gu Moli parked his bicycle and stopped Su Xingran, who was heading back to her room. Su Xingran was puzzled as to why Gu Moli was stopping her.

Gu Moli looked at Su Xingran seriously, "Xingran, are you injured? Is Wei Zilin alive or something else?"

Su Xingran was a little tired and wanted to go back to her room to rest. She told Gu Moli directly, "I'm fine. Wei Zilin won't die, he's just crippled."

Gu Moli breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Okay, if he's not dead, he's crippled. I was worried you might accidentally kill him. That kind of person isn't worth getting your hands dirty. Go back to your room and rest. I'll take you back to school tomorrow morning."

After Su Xingran left, Gu Moli sat alone in the pavilion. Although he didn't go in with her, he knew Wei Zilin was definitely in a terrible state. Gu Moli smelled blood on Su Xingran.

He had just asked Su Xingran if Wei Zilin was still alive. If it was one of those vicious bandits, then killing him would be fine. But Wei Zilin's grandfather was a war hero from before the founding of the People's Republic of China, and even though Old Master Wei had retired, the higher-ups still treated him quite well.

As long as he's alive, that's all that matters. Even if things get exposed, he can take the blame, or at worst, his uncle and the others will cover for him. It was at this moment that Gu Moli realized that only by standing tall can one protect those they want to protect.
