The next day, Su Xingran went to work and entered Shen Qiu's consultation room. Shen Qiu was already sitting there. Su Xingran greeted Shen Qiu, "Good morning, Director Shen!"
Shen Qiu nodded and said, "Xing Ran, good morning! Sit down. Last night when you and I were rescuing people, I was curious about who could have controlled the knife so well. Were all the wounds about the same length and depth?"
Su Xingran nodded and said, "Yes! If it was a cut or stab wound, I could understand it as something like what people in our profession do, or as a forensic doctor. How is the person? Has he woken up?"
Shen Qiu sighed and said, "The person woke up around six in the morning. After you went back last night, two policemen came to the hospital to inquire about the injured person's condition. The injured person had knife wounds all over his body, which were caused by a pig-slaughtering knife. The person who did the attack works as a butcher at a meat processing plant."
Su Xingran frowned. No wonder the wound looked like this; a butcher chops meat every day, so of course he can control his knife. It seems he didn't intend to kill the person outright, otherwise, if he had cut a blood vessel or major artery, the person would have been beyond saving.
Shen Qiu and Su Xingran didn't say much about it; why someone was attacked wasn't their concern. Their job was to treat the injured and bring them out of danger.
"That young man who delivered the food last night, isn't he the youngest son of the Gu family?" Shen Qiu asked Su Xingran while writing on the medical record.

In a fit of rage, the older cousin grabbed a cleaver and started hacking at him. If the older cousin hadn't been mindful of his child at home, he would have definitely killed the man."
Su Xingran frowned, feeling somewhat nauseous. She asked Nurse Liu, "How are the two women and the child?"
Nurse Xiaoliu quickly shared what she knew: "The woman and child were taken to a nearby hospital, and I heard they were quite seriously injured. The cousin was brought to our hospital by his family.
