Xu Kuo is back!
Seeing the scene before him, he was instantly enraged. He rushed forward and kicked Wang Lai in the stomach.
"Ouch!" Wang Lai cried out in pain, rolling away like a ball.
"You bastard, you dare to touch my men? You're asking for trouble!" Xu Kuo roared.
"Damn it, how dare they ambush me! Brothers, get them!" Wang Lai clutched his stomach, got up from the ground, and called to his men.
A group of thugs, wielding sticks, pounced on Xu Kuo.
The villagers who were watching were so frightened that they backed away. They knew that Wang Lai and his gang were not to be trifled with and were afraid of getting into trouble.
Jiang Xiuying's heart was in her throat. She was worried that Xu Kuo would be at a disadvantage, and tears were about to fall from her eyes.
Niu Erbao struggled to his feet and shouted at Xu Kuo, "Master, go quickly, don't worry about me!"
Xu Kuo sneered, "Leave? None of you are leaving today!"
He flashed forward like a tiger descending a mountain, charging into the crowd.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
Punches and kicks were exchanged, and screams of agony rose and fell.
In less than the time it takes to drink a cup of tea, all the thugs and ruffians that Wang Lai had brought were lying on the ground, groaning in pain.
Everyone was stunned. They never expected Xu Kuo to be so capable!
Wang Lai was so shocked that he never dreamed that he had brought so many people and not even managed to hurt a hair on Xu Kuo's head!
“Speak, who sent you?” Xu Kuo walked up to Wang Lai and asked coldly.

"Xu Kuo, don't be impulsive!" The village chief squeezed out from the crowd and advised, "Zhao Ming is not someone to be trifled with, you..."
Xu Kuo snorted coldly, knowing that the village chief was afraid that Zhao Ming would take his anger out on them.
Of course, he knew in his heart that now was not the time to completely turn against Zhao Ming. Zhao Ming had a lot of power in this area, and unless he went through the hands of the officials, he really had no way to deal with him now.
He took a deep breath and suppressed his anger.
"Wang Lai, from today onwards, you're in charge of watching over this land!" Xu Kuo pointed to the farmland beneath his feet and said to Wang Lai, "If anything goes wrong again, I'll hold you responsible!"

"What?!" Xu Kuo's mind went blank, and he felt dizzy. Jiang Xiuying was even more frightened, her face turned pale, and her body went limp, almost losing her balance.
"Let's go, hurry back!" Xu Kuo grabbed Jiang Xiuya and the two rushed home.
As soon as he entered, Xu Kuo slammed the grain coupons and meat coupons he had just obtained from the system onto the table. Without saying a word, he and Jiang Xiuying rushed into the inner room to check on Ren Hongmei's condition.
The old woman lay on the kang (a heated brick bed), her face sallow, with large beads of sweat constantly dripping down her forehead.

"Third brother, what kind of look is that? We came to see Mother out of kindness, and you give us that attitude!" Xu Jianguo was furious when he saw Xu Kuo's cold demeanor.
"That's right, third brother, now that you've made something of yourself, do you even care about your older brothers and sisters-in-law anymore?" Xu Jianjun chimed in sarcastically.
The words of those people pierced Xu Kuo's heart like knives. He trembled with anger, but he forced himself to remain calm. Right now, his mother's health was the priority, and he didn't want to waste his breath arguing with these people.
"Sister-in-law, could you please go to town to get some medicine and buy some food?" Xu Kuo suppressed his anger and tried to speak calmly to Liu Xueli.
Upon hearing this, Liu Xueli immediately objected: "Why should I go? Don't you have legs? Besides, where would we get the money to buy medicine and food?"
"Sister-in-law, didn't you want to divide the family property?" Xu Kuo sneered. "The family property hasn't been divided yet, and you already want to starve me to death?"
