Chapter 260 Afraid that she might have psychological trauma

After comforting the heartbroken Yu Jiu and the old man, the train conductor looked at the man being pressed down by the crowd behind Yu Jiu with a puzzled expression.

"Oh, this one's also a human trafficker, probably an accomplice."

"Yes, they must be accomplices. When we went over there, the man's expression was very strange, and he even tried to run away."

Yu Jiu wiped away her tears and explained what had happened. When they found the third carriage, the man was about to leave. At that crucial moment, Yu Jiu saw everyone as a bad guy, so of course she wouldn't let him go. She even imitated the train conductor and made him take out his ticket so she could check it.

The man naturally refused; someone who couldn't produce a ticket might be a fare evader, not necessarily a human trafficker. However, Yu Jiu also found powder in his bag. Just smelling it made her feel slightly dizzy, and Yu Jiu immediately deduced that it was a sedative. Moreover, he had some other tools in his bag, clearly indicating he wasn't a respectable person.

Yu Jiu immediately identified him as a suspected human trafficker and of course she had to arrest him. Just then, someone came to tell her that both children had been found. Yu Jiu was overjoyed. Before she could decide whether to continue holding the man down or let him go, the man's expression changed drastically. He tried to run away while Yu Jiu and the others weren't paying attention. With such a guilty look, if he wasn't an accomplice of human traffickers, then who was?

Yu Jiu immediately led his men to arrest him. Human traffickers deserve to die; none of them should be let go!

"Tie him up first, I'll deal with it later."

Xu Zijiang had the train conductor give each of the three of them an electric baton, knocking them unconscious and tying them up again. Then he, Yu Jiu, and the old man carried the children back to their original carriage. Only when they held the children in their arms did their fear gradually subside. The children were alright, thank goodness.

They all felt extremely fortunate. From finding the child to catching the trafficker, it had only taken less than half an hour, which was incredibly fast. Originally, it was said that if the child wasn't found, the train wouldn't stop at the next station. Now, that wasn't necessary. The train would stop normally at the next station without delaying other passengers' journeys. Moreover, since the child had been found and it was the middle of the night, Yu Jiu and the others quietly returned to their carriages, not wanting to disturb anyone else, allowing everyone to rest peacefully for a while.

Of course, everyone who helped Xu Zijiang and Yu Jiu received money, and Yu Jiu and Xu Zijiang apologized to those who had been offended by them due to misunderstandings. Thus, this thrilling search for the child and the human traffickers came to an end.

Xu Zi watched An An in their carriage for a while, then went to find the train attendant to handle the rest. Yu Jiu sat on the bed, staring intently at the two children. This time, she wouldn't even close her eyes, let alone go to the toilet. She had to keep her eyes open to make sure she could see the two children before she could feel at ease.

An'an and Nannan knew nothing. After the drug wore off, they were as if they had just taken a nap. When they woke up, it was already dawn. An'an rubbed her eyes and saw that her parents were not asleep. They were sitting on the bed watching her. She asked, somewhat confused and sleepy.

"Mom and Dad, what's wrong? Why are you looking at me like that?"

As An'an asked the question, she sat up, and Yu Jiu quickly picked her up and put her on her lap.

"How did An'an sleep last night? Is there anything wrong with her?"

Yu Jiu asked with utmost gentleness. Although she had already checked and found that An An was not injured, she was still very worried, which was why she asked one more question. Last night, Yu Jiu and Xu Zijiang had discussed it and decided that there was no need to tell the two children about this, so as not to leave them with psychological trauma.

"No, I slept very comfortably. Mom and Dad, did you not sleep? You have dark circles under your eyes."

"Not sleeping is bad for your health."

Little An'an touched the dark spots under Yu Jiu's eyes and earnestly lectured the two of them. She knew that dark spots under the eyes meant they hadn't slept, which was bad for their health. Children need to sleep well to grow up, and even though adults don't need to grow anymore, they still need to sleep well to stay healthy.

"Okay, Mom and Dad know, it won't happen again next time."

Yu Jiu and Xu Zijiang both patted An An's head, as if to assure her of something. An An touched her soft little face, feeling very confused. Why did she feel that her parents were acting a little strange?

"Are you hungry? Here, have something to eat first."

After that, Yu Jiu and Xu Zijiang didn't say anything more. They just took out some food for An'an and stared at her intently, as if they were spying on her. There was no way around it; An'an didn't have any psychological trauma, but Yu Jiu and Xu Zijiang did. They were afraid that the child would disappear again in the blink of an eye, so they had to keep their eyes glued to her.

Although An'an didn't understand, she went along with them, eating and playing with her younger brother, quite happily. After only two stops, the old man got off the bus with Nannan and her brother. Nannan's father came to pick them up. Seeing the three of them leave safely, Yu Jiu and Xu Zijiang breathed a sigh of relief and waved goodbye. The old man and his two grandchildren arrived at their destination the next morning.

"We're here! That's great! Mom, look, the train station here is so much bigger than the one back home!"

As soon as they got out of the car, An'an was very excited, looking around and chattering non-stop. Yu Jiu held her hand tightly, her face still very gentle.

"It's much bigger, An'an. You must hold Mommy's hand and don't run around. When we have time, Mommy and Daddy will take you out again. You can go wherever you want then, okay?"

"Okay, okay."

Little An'an was very obedient. Knowing that Yu Jiu was worried about her getting lost, she stopped jumping and instead held Yu Jiu's hand, walking obediently outside. She was exceptionally well-behaved. Yu Jiu and Xu Zijiang looked at An'an's well-behaved, sensible, beautiful, and adorable appearance, and their hearts melted.

Thankfully, An'an is alright. If their lovely daughter had been kidnapped, she doesn't know how she would have survived.

Those damned human traffickers were taken away to prison at the next stop after they were caught. Xu Zijiang even made a special phone call to pull strings, insisting that these human traffickers be severely punished. Even if they couldn't be executed, it would be worth it to make them serve a few more years in prison.

Having dealt with those three heartless human traffickers, Yu Jiu and Xu Zijiang planned to bury the matter deep in their hearts, not wanting this accident to affect their future lives. An'an was so happy; they should be happy too, and settle down here with their two children.

After the four of them exited the train station, Xu Zi first took Yu Jiu and the two children to wait for the bus. They needed to take the number 8 bus, which would pass through the city center. When they arrived at the city center stop, they could get off and find a guesthouse nearby to stay in. After resting for a while, they would go to the real estate agent to look at apartments.

After more than an hour of fussing around, the two adults and two children decided to rest at the guesthouse. Once they put down their bags, the first thing they did was not to eat, but to take a shower.

"Mom, look, I can rub so much dirt off my body, hahaha."
