Chapter 84 Triangular Relationship
Liu Nian wasn't worried about anything happening at home. There was only Zhang Sufeng and a few students who occasionally came to ask for advice. What could possibly happen to them?
"I didn't mean anything by it." Aunt Cui threw the grass in her hand on the ground, clapped her hands, stood up, glanced at Liu Nian, and said, "Time to go home!"
This person clearly spotted something, but instead of keeping it a secret, they're just here to whet people's appetites.
"How can this person be so infuriating?" Liu Hua glared at Aunt Cui's back, watching her twist her body, and knew how gloating she was.
"I'll go home and check on things first." Liu Nian turned her gaze away from Aunt Cui and said to Liu Hua, "Mom, you keep an eye on things here for now."
"Take it easy on you," Liu Hua said worriedly as she watched Liu Nian walk away, muttering to herself, "I wonder what happened to her again."
Liu Nian wasn't in a hurry, but she was annoyed by Aunt Cui's emphasis, as if there was something shameful going on in her family.
Just around the corner, you'll be home. Liu Nian walked for a long time, staring at the sun. Sweat was already forming on his forehead, but he was preoccupied with his thoughts and didn't feel the heat.
As soon as she turned the corner, she saw someone standing in front of her house.
"Zhou Han?" Liu Nian asked in surprise, "What are you doing standing here on such a hot day?"
Zhou Han was startled, her hand gripping the report tightened immediately, and she turned to look at Liu Nian.
"I...I've come to deliver a report. Please take a look." His gaze darted away, and he coughed awkwardly, looking down.
Zhou Han would come to the house every day to deliver reports. Sometimes Liu Nian wasn't home, so Su Feng would accept them first.
Liu Nian reached out to push the door open. "Why don't you come in?"
The door couldn't be opened, because someone was home, and Liu Nian usually didn't lock the door.
"Um, Sister Nian, here's the report data for you, take a look." Zhou Han handed over the document, but her eyes were fixed on the door.
Liu Nian knocked on the door with one hand and took the report with the other.
"I already told you, stop bothering me!" Su Feng's voice came from inside the door, tinged with annoyance and embarrassment. "Why don't you just wait until Sister Nian comes back to deliver the report later?"
Liu Nian looked at Zhou Han suspiciously, "What's wrong with you two?"
Zhou Han's pupils swayed, "Um, I, I..." she stammered, unable to explain clearly.
The door slammed open. "Did I not explain myself clearly?"
Zhang Sufeng burst out, and the moment she saw Liu Nian, she opened her mouth in a panic, "Sister."
She glanced at Zhou Han awkwardly, then turned her head away, muttering under her breath, "I told you to leave, why aren't you leaving?"
Zhou Han's face was flushed red from the sun and covered in sweat, which he wiped away.
"Tsk tsk, these young people nowadays are really something!" Aunt Cui appeared out of nowhere and said sarcastically, "Some of them clearly have partners, but they're still not honest and want to hook up with someone else. They're really fickle."
"Who are you talking about?" Su Feng blushed immediately, feeling both ashamed and embarrassed. She wanted to curse but didn't know how, so she bit her lip and looked at Aunt Cui.
Liu Nian looked at Zhou Han, who also looked at Liu Nian helplessly, clearly having never seen how much nonsense an old woman from the countryside could spout.
"Is your son in jail? He hasn't come out yet after all this time." Liu Nian glared at Aunt Cui. "You should use this time to properly educate your son."
Aunt Cui, whose sore spot had been touched, scoffed and rolled her eyes in anger.
"Come on, let's go inside." Liu Nian pushed Su Feng through the door, then glanced at Zhou Han. "You go back first."
