Chapter 202 Tang Wenwen, the Troublemaker

Commander Zhou was a well-trained soldier, so he took Hanhan directly to the hospital.

After a consultation involving all departments of the hospital, it was concluded that Hanhan was in good condition. He had a few abrasions, but they were not serious. He had been quite frightened, but perhaps because he was precocious, he had a strong mental fortitude and was otherwise unharmed.

After taking Qin Xiaoyu to the hospital, Zhou Xing had no intention of going inside.

"I'll leave you here. Same as always, if you need anything, just let me know. I'll be there whenever you call." Zhou Xing stood at a respectful distance.

"Thank you." Qin Xiaoyu felt a tearing pain as the space suddenly opened up, but wasn't this the best outcome?

Qin Xiaoyu went to see her younger sister first; she was eating fruit in Zhou Xing's mother's arms.

"Mama," the little girl stammered, uttering two syllables.

Qin Xiaoyu couldn't believe her ears. She rushed over and picked her up. This was the best reward she could ask for.

"Ahem. There are some things I want to say..." Zhou Xing's mother said softly.

"Go ahead and say it." Ever since she saved her little sister last time, Qin Xiaoyu no longer harbored any resentment towards her.

Zhou Xing said, "You will sort out your relationship."

"Yes, we've broken up now," Qin Xiaoyu said frankly, raising her head.

"Then, then, could you occasionally let the two children come to our house to play?" Zhou Xing's mother said with difficulty, her face already flushed red.

"No problem." Qin Xiaoyu knew how difficult it was to get Zhou Xing's mother to ask for help, so she agreed readily. She had saved her younger sister's life, and her request wasn't unreasonable.

"Thank you," Zhou Xing's mother said, her eyes glistening with tears.

"It's all for the children." Qin Xiaoyu handed her younger sister back to Zhou Xing's mother and went to see Hanhan.

The younger sister is still unable to be discharged, and Hanhan needs to remain in the hospital for observation. Although Qin Xiaoyu is exhausted, she still wants to stay by their side.

It was past nine o'clock at night when Zhou Xing's mother and the others left. Qin Xiaoyu was just about to rest when she heard a noise at the door.

It was Tang Wenwen who brought Hanhan's grandfather.

"Little Fish, really, I don't know what to say, I've embarrassed myself!" Grandpa Hanhan said, tears streaming down his face.

The first thing Tang Wenwen did when she got home was to lay everything out on the table; the Tang family could no longer tolerate such filth. Grandma Hanhan, slapped in the face, returned to her parents' home, filled with shame and anger.

After being scolded by his wife, the eldest uncle went back to his room and dared not come out again.

“This won’t do either. There’s no one to take care of Madam, and you still have to go to work. You can’t always stay at home.” Qin Xiaoyu immediately realized the problem. Grandma Hanhan’s departure was a way of putting them in a difficult position.

"Should we bring my sister-in-law back?" Tang Wenwen was also a little worried. Although she was very capable, she had little interest in housework.

“She can’t come back. Fengqin needs to be taken care of over there, and Tang Long’s condition is unstable. You hold on for two more days, and I’ll think of something.” Qin Xiaoyu was considering bringing his wife out.

The new building has plenty of space; giving my wife a room won't be a problem. It just depends on whether she's willing to move.

Grandpa Hanhan talked on and on for a long time before wiping away his tears and leaving, while Tang Wenwen stayed behind.

"You should go back and get some sleep too. You've had a tough day." Qin Xiaoyu stopped there. Tang Wenwen looked radiant and didn't seem tired at all.

"Sister-in-law, I have something important to tell you. You should send them to sleep first." Tang Wenwen was determined not to leave, so Qin Xiaoyu had no choice but to coax the two children to bed.

Since returning home, Hanhan has been teaching her little sister to call him "brother," and she's enjoying it immensely. The two children are lying in the same bed, whispering to each other.

"Sister-in-law, I'm pregnant."

"What?" Qin Xiaoyu jumped up in fright.

"Sister-in-law, why are you making such a fuss? What's the big deal?"

"What? What do you mean, what? Your sister-in-law, a virgin, was almost killed. And you, a young woman, are pregnant, and you still want to live a good life?" Qin Xiaoyu could no longer remain calm. The thought of what she had experienced being repeated on Tang Wenwen sent chills down her spine.

"Heh, it's not that serious," Tang Wenwen said with a faint smile.

"You're really making my heart ache! Listen to me, sis, go get an abortion right now, really, don't do anything stupid!" Qin Xiaoyu grabbed Tang Wenwen's arm tightly, practically dragging her straight to the gynecology department.

"Sister-in-law, I've been putting this off until now because I didn't want to have an abortion. I don't want to get married anymore either. You have Hanhan and Xiaomei, and I need someone to rely on. To tell you the truth, I can't have an abortion now." Tang Wenwen's intentions were genuine; she had kept it a secret until now.

Qin Xiaoyu calculated the time Jing Tian had left, then slumped onto the stool, speechless.

"So you plan to stay home and give birth to the baby?" Qin Xiaoyu still couldn't believe Tang Wenwen's decision.

"I hadn't thought about it carefully before; I just wanted to take it one step at a time. I knew that with my sister-in-law around, there wouldn't be any major problems."

"Do you really think I'm a god?"

"You're not a god, but you won't just stand by and watch me. Don't worry, I have a way now."

"What method?"

"You've helped me out. I've found a good place. I'll stay at Sister-in-law Ge's house for a few months. Please keep it a secret from my family for me. Thank you."

"You've been gone for months, what did the chemical plant say?"

"I resigned."

"Oh my god, I'm going crazy." Qin Xiaoyu tugged at her hair in anguish; she was back in the center of the vortex. Why couldn't anyone be more troublesome?

After a few days, the little girl had fully recovered. The Zhou couple would come over every day and spend half a day playing with them before leaving.

Zhou Xing was the one who brought them here. He didn't go upstairs; he just stood downstairs.

Although Qin Xiaoyu had long since severed her feelings for Zhou Xing, the sight of such a living, breathing person in front of her still caused her some pain. One advantage of Scorpios is their exceptional ability to rise from the ashes; she silently licked her wounds.

Self-respect alone can lessen the pain by half. When you feel like you can't go on, think about what your wife said to you, how she has a bad eye for men, which is why she keeps falling in the same places.

Cherish life, stay away from men.

This became her life motto from then on.

On the day of her discharge, the Zhou family sent two cars to take her and her child home. Qin Xiaoyu wanted to insist on taking the child home herself, but seeing how reluctant they were to part with the child, she couldn't bear to separate them.

This near-loss made them cherish each other even more.

Even Zhou Xing's mother, who is usually arrogant, is willing to bow her head, let alone Commander Zhou.

"Sister Xiaoyu, someone's calling you urgently!"

Qin Xiaoyu was helping her younger sister put on her coat when a nurse ran in. There was an outside telephone at the nurses' station, and they were very polite to Qin Xiaoyu, never hesitant to run errands for her.

The call was from Qi Si, who roared into the phone, "Qin Xiaoyu! Get to the barbecue restaurant right now!"

He always called Qin Xiaoyu "girl," but this time he called her by her full name, which meant he was really anxious. Qin Xiaoyu asked what had happened, but the call had already been disconnected.
