Chapter Seventy-Five: Escape from Death

"Master! Should we close the iron gates? If this continues, Miss Gu will run away."

The guards watching the situation under the iron bars nervously reminded the masked man.

The man merely smiled slightly and said coldly, "No need! Interesting! Very interesting!"

"Master, you went through so much trouble to find this wolf king, are you just going to let it escape like this?"

"All good things must come to an end. My relationship with him has come to an end."

After saying this, the masked man turned and left.

Gu Qianluo carefully led the way, following the Bagua diagram on her skirt to gradually open the three doors: Xun, Kan, and Gen.

The wolves that followed behind were mostly law-abiding, staying behind the wolf king. Only a few rebellious pups got lost and were killed by traps in the secret chamber.

Whenever a wolf cub is killed, the wolf king absorbs its tendons and bones into his body to increase his cultivation level.

Upon seeing this, Gu Qianluo's heart trembled, and she silently exhaled a long breath.

Fortunately, she knew how to control beasts, otherwise she would have become the wolf king's prey.

When the dry stone gate stood before her, Gu Qianluo finally felt a huge weight lifted from her heart.

She slowly placed her hand on the stone door mechanism, and with a loud "boom," the stone door swung open.

Gu Qianluo's eyes flickered slightly as she looked at the wolf pack behind her and said sharply,

"Wolf King, you are now free! The tunnel leads to the back mountain. Hurry up! It will be too late if you don't leave now."

Because Gu Qianluo had turned off the spirit communication spell, the Wolf King couldn't hear what she was saying. The moment the stone door slowly opened, tears welled up in the Wolf King's eyes.

He raised his head high and howled loudly at the full moon. The wolves behind him howled in response. Suddenly, a gust of wind swept by, and the wolves disappeared into the tunnel under the cover of darkness.

The tunnel was pitch black, with only occasional slivers of light filtering through the cracks in the walls.

She carefully walked forward, holding onto the tunnel wall, until she saw the light at the tunnel entrance, at which point her heart finally settled down.

As Gu Qianluo stepped out of the tunnel, a deep, magnetic voice came from behind her.

"Miss Gu is truly skilled! She even knows beast taming techniques!"

Upon hearing this, Gu Qianluo's gaze darkened, and she turned to look at the person who had spoken.

"Chief Mo, isn't it interesting to watch the show from behind?"

"Hehe, I didn't expect Miss Gu to have discovered me so early. What should I do? I'm becoming more and more interested in you."

Upon hearing this, Gu Qianluo's eyes turned cold, and she said sarcastically, "What a pity! I wouldn't even give a second glance to a playboy like Chief Rumo! Farewell! Never to meet again!"

As soon as she finished speaking, Gu Qianluo leaped into the river behind the mountain.

Seeing this, Mo Gui quickly ran to the edge of the cliff and searched for Gu Qianluo's voice in the surging river, saying angrily...

"What a stupid woman!"

Gu Qianluo slowly walked down the vines along the cliff to the foot of the mountain.

Fortunately, it was nighttime and dark, so no one noticed her.

She went to a secluded place, tore off a piece of her skirt, bit her finger to draw blood, and used the blood to write words, summoning a carrier pigeon from the Gu family.

She followed the trajectory of the constellations and headed southwest.

The next day, before dawn, Mo Gui Valley was hit by a bloody storm.

"Mo Gui! You get the hell out here!"

With fire burning in his eyes and a blood-stained sword in his hand, Chen Jinheng charged into Mo Gui Valley all by himself.

"Who do we have here? It's Young Master Chen the Second!"

"Oh! Aren't you leading troops into battle? If the emperor finds out you've abandoned your post, I wonder what he'll do to you?"

"Mo Gui! Enough with the nonsense! Hand over Luo'er!"

"Luo'er? Who is Luo'er! What is General Chen saying? I don't understand."

"Mo Gui, stop pretending to be confused!" With that, Chen Jinheng suddenly raised his hand, a gust of wind rose, and he slashed down, shattering everything in his path.

Mo Gui was startled, then chuckled.

"Alright! Alright! This gang leader is no longer joking with you!"

Oh my, we're really destined to be together! Before, I, the leader of this gang, liked Ruoyan, but you married her off to your Brother Song!

Now, this gang leader has set his sights on your woman!

Oh! By the way, she smells so good! I've got my eye on her! What should I do? Hahaha!

With a loud bang, Chen Jinheng used all his strength to punch Mo Gui hard in the chest.

He was thrown several meters away by inertia, blood gushing from his mouth.

"Mo Gui! You want to die! I will grant your wish!"

Seeing Mo Gui fall to the ground, Chen Jinheng's eyes turned fierce. He drew the Azure Dragon Sword from his waist, whirled it, and flew to Mo Gui's side, the sharp blade aimed straight at Mo Gui's heart.

"Chen Jinheng! Don't kill him!"

Chen Jinheng's gaze was deep, and the corners of his mouth unconsciously drooped as he turned to look at the person behind him.

"Hahaha! Young Master Gu is here too! Our Mo Gui Valley is truly honored today!"

"Why can't we kill him?" Chen Jinheng asked coldly.

"You forgot, he's the son of the King of Qi!" Gu Zijun reminded him.

"Ha, he's nothing but a disobedient, unfilial, fratricidal, and mother-killing villain!"

After saying that, Chen Jinheng shook off Gu Zijun's wrist and raised the blade again to slash at Mo Gui.

"Even if he has been reduced to a commoner, don't you want to know where Luo'er is?"

Upon hearing this, Chen Jinheng's gaze darkened. He withdrew the internal energy he had just used, drew a dagger from his waist, and pressed it against Mo Gui's vital point.

"Tell me! Where did you hide Luo'er?"

“She’s dead!” Mo Gui snorted coldly and said indifferently.

Suddenly, Chen Jinheng's dark eyes turned crimson, his expression turning cold and filled with intense rage. The veins on his arm gripping the short knife bulged, and he roared like a raging lion, "You bastard!"

"Ah!" Mo Gui cried out in surprise as his thigh bone tore open, and blood gushed out.

"Chen Jinheng! You've gone mad!" Mo Gui shouted.

"Mo Gui! This is what happens when you anger this general! Tell me! Where is Luo'er?"

Chen Jinheng pulled a short knife from Mo Gui's leg and pointed it at his vital spot.

"If you still want to keep this place, then you'd better give me an honest explanation!"

Mo Gui's heart tightened, his expression darkened, and he stammered,

"She...she escaped down the cliff two hours ago!" After saying this, Mo Gui fainted from exhaustion.

Upon hearing the sound, Chen Jinheng turned around and rushed down the cliff.

"Gu Zijun, you search to the left, and I will search to the right. We will meet here in two hours."

“Okay!” Gu Zijun replied.

"Luo'er! Luo'er! Where are you? Your husband has come to save you!"

"Luo'er! If you can hear my voice, please answer me."

"Luo'er! Luo'er!"

At this moment, in a bottomless cave at the foot of the cliff, Gu Qianluo fainted weakly on the wet muddy ground after losing too much blood in a fight with wild beasts.

In a daze, faint calls came from above the cave.

She struggled to open her eyes, took out a signal flare from her waist, pulled the fuse, and with a "whoosh," the signal flare shot straight into the sky.

Her eyes were fixed intently as she struggled to lift her head and look up at the sky. Seeing the dazzling display of colors from the signal flare, she smiled with delight and exclaimed, "This time, it's all up to you!"
