Chapter Ninety-Two Decision

An Chaoli smiled with satisfaction as he watched the brother and sister getting along well.

His gaze swept across the distance, looking into the distance: "Shiyu, can you see? Huaishou and Yuan'er have finally reunited. What about you? It's time to come back."

Unfortunately, An Chaoli received no response.

An Chaoli prepared a carriage and brought large boxes of gifts to the home of the hunter who was fostering An Huishou.

The house was simple and lacked decent furniture, but Uncle Yan and Aunt Yan were both kind and honest people.

The group sat down around the only table.

"My humble abode is simple and unadorned; I hope you will not find it offensive."

An Chaoli waved his hand: "How could I dislike it? Over the years, we have been so grateful to Uncle and Aunt for taking care of Huaishou. You have done a great favor for the An family."

An Yuan'er is a child and doesn't need to sit at the table, but she stretched her legs and sat on the chair.

But the person is too small; even when sitting on a chair, they are shorter than the table.

"Yuanyuan, this is how adults talk; children don't understand."

An Yuan'er put her hands on her hips and said coquettishly, "Brother, Yuan'er wants to participate too, she wants to participate."

An Hui realized that he couldn't bring himself to say no to his adorable younger sister.

He found a long bench and lifted An Yuan'er onto it. That way, even the small An Yuan'er could sit at the table.

Looking at the little girl in front of her, Aunt Yan praised, "Miss Yuan is so beautiful, she's like a celestial being."

How could a girl not be happy when praised for her beauty? An Yuan'er obediently said, "Aunt Yan has good taste. Yuan'er is a fairy."

Children speak without thinking, and hearty laughter filled the room, easing the previously awkward atmosphere.

In another room, Uncle Yan and Aunt Yan's only daughter timidly peered through the crack in the door, watching everything inside.

Her eyes were glued to An Yuan'er; the girl was wearing and carrying things that had never been seen in the town before.

The girl was so dazzling that everyone else paled in comparison.

She looked down at herself: her clothes were worn and patched, her straw sandals were torn, and her hands were empty.

Cuizhen was amazed. So this was the noble lady from outside. She was indeed different from others. She never dared to sit at the table when the adults were talking, and she always spoke in a low voice, for fear of being ridiculed.

After sitting for a while, An Chaoli got straight to the point and explained his purpose.

He took out a box containing some house deeds and some silver.

"Uncle, Auntie thanks you for taking care of us for the past six years. This is a small token of our gratitude, please accept it."

Uncle Yan was shocked: "My lord, what is this?"

"To be honest, uncle and aunt, I plan to take Huishou back."

The uncle and aunt exchanged a glance, a mixture of understanding and reluctance.

An Huishou had initially thought that her father had brought her younger sister to visit her, but she never expected it to be...

"Turning back, are you willing to go home with your father?"

Perhaps it was too sudden, or perhaps something else, but An Huishou remained silent for a long time.

An Yuan'er became anxious and grabbed An Huishou's arm: "Brother, after you go home, you can see Father and me every day. Yuan'er wants you to come home."

The little girl started to cry again as she spoke.

An Huishou patted An Yuan'er's head: "Yuan'er, don't cry, let your brother think about it."

Although the boy is young, he is very mature for his age. After so many years of living alone, he has learned to think independently when faced with problems.

His adoptive parents had raised him with great kindness, and for so many years they had treated him like their own son. His blood relatives were in the An family mansion.

An looked back and pondered for a long time...

He knelt down and kowtowed three times to Uncle Yan and Aunt Yan.
