Li Xiao stopped the car and put out a map to observe it.
Not far ahead is the trade center, with ten or twenty floors selling all kinds of goods.
There was a shopping mall not far away, and a supermarket across the street. The other high-rise buildings were all office buildings. Those were out of the question. Her target was the warehouses inside the trade center, the shopping mall, and the supermarket.
The map shows there are a lot of zombies inside. Well, how could such a bustling area be deserted?
The nearest place to her is a shopping mall, 30 stories high. The first floor sells food and drinks; the second floor sells toys and household goods; the third floor sells electrical appliances and electronic products; the fourth floor sells children's clothing and toys; the fifth floor sells women's clothing; the sixth floor sells men's clothing; the seventh floor sells jewelry; and the eighth floor is a leisure area. Above that is the office area.
She glanced around and saw that the first floor had the most zombies, making it difficult to get in. So she went around to the back door, which had an employee entrance and was more convenient.
She parked her car and cautiously approached, while some others were already inside. She didn't know which direction they had entered from.
She didn't care where they came in from; she just wanted to find the warehouse.
Walking along the passage, it was a bit dark inside, but there were no zombies. There were zombies in the next room, but they were locked inside.
Smelling the scent of a living person, it scratched incessantly at the door, making a piercing sound.
The map showed that some of those people were on the first floor, some on the fifth floor, and one on the sixth floor. She crept inside, avoiding the group of people who were busy packing bags of long-expiry packaged foods. Two other people were providing cover for her.
She quickly slipped inside, using the shelving as cover.
There was a passage leading to the back, and she silently hacked at the zombies that pounced on her, their roars drowning out everything else.
These people are quite strong. They dared to venture into a place with so many zombies and have held out until now, eliminating quite a few of them.
After walking for a while, there was nothing else besides the shelves and boxes piled up on both sides of the passage. There were also several zombies lying on the ground, indicating that someone had come in earlier.
The front door was locked, and the lock had many chopping marks. Looking at the large lock, Li Xiao was at a loss. She tried to put it into her spatial storage, and suddenly, the lock disappeared.
Thinking of the padlock, it reappeared in her hand. She couldn't help but feel secretly pleased; how convenient! The fighting was still going on over there; she wondered if opening the door would alert them. She gently pushed the door open, making little noise. Whew! She felt relieved.
Slowly push open the door, revealing what's inside.
This is the warehouse of the shopping mall in the map, piled high with goods, so crowded that it's impossible to move.
Looking at the warehouse overflowing with supplies, she got to work with abandon. Rice, flour, cooking oil, cigarettes, alcohol, beverages, candy, biscuits... she swept through the mountain of goods at lightning speed, and they vanished in the blink of an eye.
Within minutes, the warehouse was spotless. Li Xiao left the warehouse and then hung the lock on the door; it wouldn't be noticeable unless someone pulled on it.
The people upstairs hadn't come down yet, and she didn't plan to go up either, so she went back the way she came and successfully avoided the people inside to enter the passage.
I only breathed a sigh of relief once I got outside. I was so nervous, going in and out under people's noses was really exciting.
I drove on, and while the supermarket was crowded, the trade center was empty. After a moment's thought, I decided to go to the trade center instead of fighting with other people.
The trade center has even more zombies and is much taller. Major domestic and international brands have moved in, making it quite lively.
Let's go in through the back door. I took out some floral water from my spatial storage; I don't know if it will work, but I'll give it a try today.
I sprayed so much floral water on myself that I couldn't breathe through my nose.
Wearing a mask, I got off the bus.
The scent of the floral water did have some effect, disrupting the presence of living people. She nervously ran inside, skipping the first floor and heading upstairs.
I collect whatever I see, regardless of brand or serial number, as long as it's clean and usable. Both my hands are constantly busy.
Floral water has limited effect; you still need to use a killer.
I was on tenterhooks, killing and gathering as I went, constantly dodging. I dealt with a portion of them first; the zombies were much more agile now.
As the temperature rose, the zombies dried out, fewer flies swarmed around them, and the stench lessened.
Their appearance has changed, but they're still zombies. A major battle will ensue on every floor.
When I passed the sixth floor, I found that there were very few zombies on this floor, and it was very quiet.
This was very strange, and Li Xiao became more vigilant.
I quietly circled the room and collected most of the clothes. The map showed that there were many zombies upstairs, practically swarming them.
There wasn't a single person downstairs, which doesn't make sense.
A vague unease was spreading, so she stopped in her tracks and rushed downstairs.
Just as I was about to rush to the next floor, I heard a sharp shriek coming from upstairs—
Li Xiao's head jolted, and without daring to linger, she hurriedly rushed down.
This is a high-level zombie issuing orders!
I knew there were many zombies up there, but I didn't expect there to be high-level zombies among them.
The zombies on the lower floors began to stir. Li Xiao didn't dare to think about it and buried her head as she went downstairs, wishing she had two more legs right now.
He waved his hand to gather up the shelf next to him and casually tossed it behind him, blocking some of the zombies. He continued gathering up the shelf and tossing it behind him, finally able to catch his breath.
The roars of the zombies continued, growing ever more distant. Finally, Li Xiao escaped. She ran a long way before stopping. She placed her hands on her knees, gasping for breath, her lungs feeling like they were about to burst.
He rushed to the car, opened the door, and got in, leaning on the steering wheel and breathing heavily.
So there were high-level zombies here. No wonder no one dared to come.
That was too dangerous; I feel a lingering fear.
I took out a bottle of water, took a couple of sips, wiped the sweat from my face, and drove off. I should probably leave the city; I almost got scammed. I was too greedy.
She drove north without stopping. She would stop at gas stations to check if they had any gasoline.
The gas stations in the city were completely ransacked, leaving nothing behind.
As evening approached, we reached the edge of the city; we were just a short distance from leaving. It seemed we wouldn't be able to leave tonight; it would be even more dangerous after dark.
We'll rest nearby for the night and set off again tomorrow morning.
They found a gas station, chopped off the zombies that scurried out, and decided to spend the night there.
The gas station was messy and dirty, probably because someone had been there before. There were leftover food wrappers scattered all over the floor, as well as mineral water bottles.
I took out a self-heating rice bowl, tomato and beef brisket flavor, that's what I wanted to eat today.
She had just finished eating and was drinking water when she heard a car approaching outside. She quickly gathered her belongings, throwing two packs of biscuits and instant noodles, self-heating rice, three bottles of mineral water, a bag of chocolate, and a few lollipops into her backpack.
Looking at my clothes, they're alright. My face, I haven't washed it yet, still looks ordinary. Okay, that's all.
She sat on the ground, waiting for the people outside to come in.
The car stopped and the door opened.
Several people came down and walked over here.
A group of seven or eight people came in. They were talking about something and didn't realize that there were already people inside.
They were all stunned when they saw Li Xiao.
