Chapter 29 was a fierce fight.
"Shi Leyao, Zheng Ran, thank you."
Jiang Wan walked over to the two of them and took two bottles of Gatorade from the bag in Sun Qianyu's hand. "Here, have some drinks, peach flavor."
"No need."
"It's nothing, you're welcome."
Shi Leyao and Zheng Ran both waved their hands.
"Oh, don't be so polite." Sun Qianyu shoved the Gatorade into their hands. "Here, we bought a lot."
"Okay, thank you." Shi Leyao took a bottle of Gatorade, unscrewed it, and took a sip. "Did you buy so much water and drinks for the boys in our class who play basketball?"
“Yes.” Sun Qianyu nodded.
“Yeah, both of our deskmates are on the court.” Jiang Wan turned to look at the court. “Of course we have to come and cheer them on.”
Zheng Ran nodded in agreement, "Yes, the class monitor and Zhou Chong are the main players, and they've already scored quite a few goals."
"Really?" Jiang Wan craned her neck and glanced at the scoreboard outside the court. "Our class is still three points behind Class 13."
"Class 13 has Qi Ming, he's a sports specialist, so it's pretty good that our class performed this well," Zheng Ran explained.
Shi Leyao glanced down at her watch. "Yes, it's only been less than ten minutes, and Qi Ming has already scored more than ten points by himself."
No sooner had he finished speaking than Qi Ming took another step and jumped, easily scoring a goal.
A scream immediately erupted from the crowd on the other side.
"Wow, Qi Ming is so handsome!"
"Go Qi Ming!"
"Sound together! Sound together! Sound together!"
Qi Ming ran back towards the cheers, turned around and smiled in the direction of his class. When he looked away, he suddenly saw Jiang Wan in the crowd.
He raised his arm high and waved at Jiang Wan, his smile growing even brighter.
For a moment, many girls in Class 13 looked in her direction.
Sun Qianyu coughed, quietly turned to the side, blocking half of Jiang Wan's body, and whispered, "People are watching you."
Jiang Wan saw them, but she had no interest in paying attention to Qi Ming and the people from Class 13.
Because when Qi Ming scored the goal, she saw Zhou Chong standing silently to the side, his expression not looking good.
Someone as proud as him, who has been number one for years, how could he allow himself to be outdone?
Jiang Wan put herself in Zhou Chong's shoes and thought about it. If it were her, she would definitely feel resentful, let alone Zhou Chong.
“This won’t do.” Jiang Wan gathered the three girls around her together. “We can hear the girls from Class 13 shouting. It’s really affecting morale. We have to shout too.”
Shi Leyao held a bottle of Gatorade, pushed up her glasses, and obediently agreed, "Yes, Jiang Wan is right."
"We haven't scored yet, so how can we shout?" Zheng Ran asked.
“Just shout ‘Go for it!’” Jiang Wan raised an eyebrow at Sun Qianyu. “Watch me, you guys follow along.”
Sun Qianyu received the signal and gave an "OK" sign.
Jiang Wan pushed aside the three people in front of her, stood at the very front of the crowd, took a deep breath, and cupped her hands around her mouth like a megaphone, "Zhou—Chong—"
The figures running on the field all paused for a moment.
The next moment, not only Zhou Chong, but also the other boys turned to look, including Qi Ming.
Jiang Wan is beautiful and is the undisputed school beauty among all the students. Although there has never been a public vote, no one has raised any objections, regardless of whether they are boys or girls.
In addition, she had excellent grades and came from a wealthy family, so it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that she was the goddess in the hearts of all the boys in the grade.
If it weren't for the rumors that she had a princess-like temper and was difficult to approach, the threshold of Class 1 would probably have been worn down by suitors.
Her clear, sweet voice, uttered with all her might, echoed throughout the entire stadium.
Jiang Wan noticed the gazes coming from all directions, but she didn't care at all; as long as Zhou Chong was watching her, that was enough.
"Zhou Chong, keep it up!" Jiang Wan smiled sweetly, her voice equally sweet. "You're the best!"
Riding on Jiang Wan's momentum, Sun Qianyu immediately followed suit, "Jiang Shengming, go for it!"
"Go Class One!"
"Zhang Chi, Li Yang, keep it up!"
"Go! Go!"
In an instant, cheers of encouragement rose and fell from the crowd in Class One.
Jiang Wan stood smiling in front of the crowd, her eyes fixed on the boy in the black hoodie on the field.
It wasn't a formal basketball game; there were no number plates, and no changing of jerseys. But Zhou Chong's black hoodie made Jiang Wan feel that he had more of a youthful vibe than anyone else.
It has a unique youthful charm, leaning towards composure, which makes people feel at ease.
She unconditionally believed that Zhou Chong would win.
-
Zhou Chong was the first person on the court to come to his senses.
"Jiang Shengming, pass the ball to me."
Jiang Shengming paused for a moment, then, taking advantage of the opponent's inattention, broke through and passed the ball to Zhou Chong.
Zhou Chong took a few steps to the opponent's backboard, and with a clean three-step layup, the ball landed steadily in the net.
"Whoa—"
When the referee blew the whistle to score, everyone turned their attention back to Zhou Chong and discovered that he had already scored a goal.
"Yay!" Jiang Wan jumped up again from the sidelines. "Zhou Chong is awesome!"
Qi Ming couldn't help but turn around and glance at Jiang Wan again.
Just as he was distracted, the ball fell into Zhou Chong's hands again.
Once Zhou Chong had the initiative in his own hands, he would not let the situation get out of control.
He deftly bypassed the opponent's defense and made a steady and accurate hook shot.
They scored several goals in a row, not only tying the score but also taking a lead over Class 13 by several points.
"See how effective it is to cheer people on." Jiang Wan looked at the people around her with a smug look on her face. "We should have cheered them on a long time ago. Everyone is too reserved."
Sun Qianyu couldn't help but chuckle, then leaned close to Jiang Wan's ear and whispered, "You're abusing your position for personal gain."
"Tch, mind your own business." Jiang Wan twitched her nose and winked at her. "Your Jiang Shengming played pretty well too."
"Not bad, not bad." Sun Qianyu waved her hand. "Not as good as your Zhou Chong. He's almost dominating Qi Ming on the other side."
Sun Qianyu wasn't flattering them; they had arrived late and didn't know how the battle had gone.
According to Shi Leyao and Zheng Ran, Qi Ming was once considered to be the most outstanding person in the world.
But in those few short minutes, Zhou Chongjin has scored far more goals than Qi Ming.
Moreover, just now, Zhou Chong dribbled past Qi Ming with great force, without letting Qi Ming touch the ball even once, and then made a clean layup.
Even the girls from Class 13 across the street couldn't help but gasp in amazement at him.
The two had just finished whispering when they heard Zheng Ran say from the side, "I feel like Zhou Chong is playing much more aggressively now than before."
"Really?" Jiang Wan looked over curiously. "We didn't see how he was beating us just now."
"I don't know much about basketball," Shi Leyao said honestly, shaking her head. "But I also have this feeling that they seem to be playing very aggressively."
They were fighting fiercely?
What kind of evaluation is this?
Jiang Wan frowned in confusion, just about to ask Shi Leyao what she meant, when she saw Zheng Ran nodding frantically beside her.
“Yes, yes, that’s exactly how it feels!” Zheng Ran said earnestly. “Ever since Jiang Wan cheered him on, he’s like a completely different person, beating Qi Ming to the ground.”
"Yes, I think Qi Ming's face turned black."
Sun Qianyu laughed silently from the side, shaking Jiang Wan's arm incessantly.
Jiang Wan: "..."
Stop shaking, I'm dizzy!
