Chapter 103 Class Match

Chapter 103 Class Match

After not seeing him for a summer vacation, Jiang Wan felt that Zhou Chong looked even more handsome than before, as if he had gone to Europe for cosmetic surgery.

The person in front of her met her gaze, a slight smile playing on his lips, and walked towards her through the crowd.

Several classmates saw Zhou Chong and started cheering.

"Our city's top science student is here!"

"As expected of the top scorer, he has to be the grand finale at the graduation party."

"Of course, the top scorer has a lot of prestige."

Zhang Chi stood up and called out across two tables, "Teacher Fan, Zhou Chong gave you a pretty good year-end bonus, right? Shouldn't you treat us all to a meal?"

"That's right, treat us! Treat us!"

Zhou Chong paused, and as he passed Lao Fan, he stopped to look at him, his eyes filled with hesitation.

Old Fan stood up with a smile, put his arm around Zhou Chong's shoulder, and waved his hand, "Okay, this meal is on me. Order whatever you want, everyone!"

"Wuhu~"

"Teacher Fan is treating us!"

Before Zhou Chong could say anything, Lao Fan patted him on the shoulder and winked, saying, "You really did give me a lot more bonuses, and the students still remember your kindness."

Zhou Chong paused, then lowered his head slightly. "Thank you, Teacher Fan."

"Alright, sit down now." Old Fan let go of her hand and pointed forward. "That empty seat was probably reserved for you, right?"

Zhou Chong grunted in response, turned his head, and saw Jiang Wan smiling and waving at him.

He smiled slightly and walked to the empty seat next to her.

As soon as he sat down, Jiang Wan winked at him, "Thanks to you, Lao Fan actually treated us to dinner."

Zhou Chong chuckled, "You're making fun of me like everyone else?"

Jiang Wan blinked, charmed by his choice of "other people".

Although she knew he was just saying it casually.

Jiang Wan pursed her lips, tilted her head, and smiled. "Well... then I'm different from others."

During the meal, Jiang Shengming kept grilling meat for Sun Qianyu.

The grill sizzled as Jiang Shengming flipped the roasted meat, then cut it into small pieces and put them into Sun Qianyu's bowl.

Those at the same table ate their meals in silence, tacitly understanding each other, while those at the next few tables couldn't help but make jokes.

"If we're talking about the most exciting news after we graduated, it has to be about our class monitor and Sun Qianyu."

"Yeah, you got together so quickly during summer vacation, did you already like each other?"

"This must be the first couple in our class."

"Sun Qianyu performed exceptionally well in this college entrance examination. The power of love is truly great."

"Teacher Fan, what do you think?"

Old Fan wiped his mouth with a tissue, looked up at the two of them, and said, "The two of them, one from Tsinghua University and the other from Renmin University, will live close by in the future. They are such a perfect match."

Zhang Chi then asked, "Teacher Fan, weren't you so strict about preventing early relationships before? Why are you so open-minded now?"

"Before, I was worried that you would have early relationships and it would affect your studies." Old Fan waved his hand with a smile and said, "Now you are all going to college, you are all adults, you can date if you want, it's great to be with your classmates, you know them well and have a foundation of feelings."

"Since Teacher Fan has said so, won't there be a few more couples in our class?" Zhang Chi replied with a grin, glancing meaningfully at Jiang Wan and Zhou Chong.

Jiang Wan pretended not to understand and silently acted as if she were invisible.

She coughed lightly, feigning nonchalance, and was about to reach for some meat on the grill when a piece of grilled meat was placed on the plate in front of her.

Following the tip of the chopsticks upwards, Jiang Wan met Zhou Chong's gaze, raised an eyebrow and smiled, picked up the piece of roasted meat and stuffed it into her mouth, saying with her cheeks puffed out, "Delicious."

Zhou Chong smiled slightly, picked up the tongs, and continued to turn the meat on the baking tray.

After dinner, the group went to a karaoke bar.

Old Fan said he's too old to enjoy karaoke, so he doesn't want to spoil the fun for the young people and let his classmates have fun, so that his presence doesn't make them feel uncomfortable.

After all, a homeroom teacher is a homeroom teacher. Even after graduation, with Lao Fan around, the students were still a bit restrained from having fun.

As soon as Lao Fan left, the private room became lively.

Some even boldly suggested, "Singing is no fun, let's order some drinks."

Eighteen-year-old boys and girls are caught between the confusion of youth and the composure of maturity. As if to prove something, they are always eager to step into the adult world.

Alcohol seems to be a symbol of adulthood.

One person started it, and the others followed suit.

"Okay, singing without singing is no fun, and I'm thirsty, let's order a few beers."

"There are so many of us, let's bring two cases of beer first."

"Let's go, let's order some drinks."

Even girls like Shi Leyao, who hesitated, were encouraged by the atmosphere and ordered a few bottles of non-alcoholic beverages.

Although Jiang Wan wasn't a big drinker, she was already an adult and hadn't touched a drop of alcohol since her rebirth, though she did crave it a little.

Zhang Chi and a few other boys brought back two cases of beer, stacked them on the table, and opened them one by one, the crisp sound of bottle caps popping open echoing throughout the room.

"Come on, everyone who wants a drink, help yourselves."

Sun Qianyu was selecting a song when she turned around, raised the microphone, and shouted, "Get me a bottle of beer!"

Jiang Shengming shook his head, took a bottle of non-alcoholic beverage and handed it to her, "Drink this."

"I want to drink beer," Sun Qianyu pouted. "Look, Wanwan and the others all drink, why can't I?"

Jiang Wan, who had just grabbed a bottle of beer, paused, her hand hanging in mid-air. She turned to look at Sun Qianyu and Jiang Shengming, saying, "Don't drag me into your relationship, you two lovebirds."

After saying that, she picked up the glass beside her and slowly poured herself a beer.

Sun Qianyu looked at Jiang Wan, then grabbed Jiang Shengming's arm and swayed it from side to side, saying, "I want to drink too, have a taste."

Jiang Shengming couldn't refuse her, so he brought over a bottle of beer. Just as he was about to pour it for her, Sun Qianyu snatched the bottle away.

Sun Qianyu sat on a high stool with a microphone in one hand and a beer bottle in the other, grinning. "I don't need a glass anymore. I'll just drink straight from the bottle. It's more convenient to hold."

Jiang Shengming put the cup back on the table and rubbed her head with a helpless yet affectionate expression. "Then drink slowly, and there's only one bottle. Don't drink too much."

"Okay." Sun Qianyu rubbed her palm against his and then ran to the front of the stage to sing.

Jiang Wan took a sip of her drink and watched with a smile the intimate interaction between Sun Qianyu and Jiang Shengming. While she was happy for Sun Qianyu, she also felt a little envious.

She turned around and subconsciously glanced at Zhou Chong sitting next to her, only to meet his gaze.

Zhou Chong sat lazily on the sofa, leaning slightly forward, his elbows resting on his knees, his eyes lowered as he looked at the wine glass in her hand.

Jiang Wan tilted her head and raised her glass to him, "Would you like a drink?"

Zhou Chong raised his eyes, paused for two seconds, and said, "Drink."

Then, he picked up a bottle of wine from the table, popped the cap off with his thumb, poured a glass of wine at an angle, and held it up to her.

Jiang Wan smiled, raised her glass, and clinked it against his.

A crisp sound suddenly rang out, then disappeared into the cacophony of voices.

"ha--"

Jiang Wan downed a glass of beer with gusto, feeling a cool and refreshing sensation in her throat.

The glass was empty, and she picked up the bottle to pour more, but Zhou Chong stopped her with a gesture of respect. "Drink less, drink slowly."

"It's okay, I can hold my liquor better than you think." Jiang Wan winked at him, dodged his hand, poured herself another glass, and then clinked glasses with his. "Happy graduation."

Zhou Chong paused for a moment, then smiled slightly, "Happy graduation."

After a couple of drinks, someone nearby noticed the two of them.

"Why are you two top students drinking by yourselves?"

"That's right, you're not including us in the game, are you!"

A group of people gathered around, excitedly inviting each other to drink and play games.

Jiang Wan finished a bottle, put down her glass, touched her face, and felt it was a little hot.

She stood up and said to the person next to her, "I'm going to the restroom."

After saying that, she stepped out of the crowd and walked out of the private room.

Zhou Chong watched her walk out of the private room, thought for a moment, put down his wine glass, got up and followed her out.
