She squatted down, staring at the figure in front of her. She was stunned when she saw the person's fingertips flickering. So Song Qi'an smokes.
While she was still in a daze, Song Qi'an had already walked over.
Because it's Chinese New Year, every household bought lanterns to hang at their door, and some even turned on the large lights above their doors.
When Zhou Sui looked up, the warm yellow light shone on her face, and Song Qi'an looked directly into her eyes.
Those bright eyes were now misty with tears, and Song Qi'an was instantly captivated.
Zhou Sui wasn't sure if this was real or her imagination. "Song Qi'an?"
She rarely called Song Qi'an by his full name; she usually addressed him respectfully as Brother Qi'an.
Song Qi'an unconsciously prolonged the last syllable of his voice, which was soft and gentle, yet it touched the heart.
"I'm here," Song Qi'an replied, squatting down like Zhou Sui.
He then saw Zhou Sui breathe a sigh of relief, her expression strange, "My legs are numb."
Looking up like that was too uncomfortable, Zhou Sui thought, but a dense, pricking pain shot through her legs, and she couldn't get up no matter how hard she tried.
Song Qi'an thought she was squatting there on purpose, so he stood up, bent down, and helped Zhou Sui up by the shoulder.
"Don't put any force into your legs yet. Support yourself with my hands, and then swing your legs."
Zhou Sui tried swinging her leg as Song Qi'an had instructed, and "hiss." Although she gasped, the tingling sensation gradually disappeared after a few swings.
She switched to the other leg, and exclaimed, "Wow, it really works!"
The two were very close, so close that Song Qi'an could smell the alcohol on her.
"Have you been drinking?"
"Mmm." Zhou Sui looked up at him, her eyes sparkling. "I drank several cups."
Song Qi'an looked at the delicate face so close to his, his expression inscrutable.
