Drunk look

Drunk look

The atmosphere was a little tense for a moment. Ji Lu's crying gradually stopped, and she sobbed and wiped her face with her sleeve. Lu Zhizhi reluctantly let go of her arm. The warmth of Mu Han's clothes still lingered on his fingertips. His heart felt like being gently brushed by a feather, and a tingling sensation spread.

Mu Han finally breathed a sigh of relief, his tense nerves suddenly relaxing. He lowered his head to look at Ji Lu's red eyes, his eyes filled with heartache: "Okay, baby, don't cry anymore. If you cry any more, you'll turn into a little cat."

Ji Lu sniffed and asked with a heavy nasal voice: "Then sister-in-law... do you like me?"

"I like it, of course I like it." Mu Han nodded quickly, reached out and rubbed his soft hair, his tone was gentler than ever before.

Lu Zhizhi listened from the side, his heart skipping a beat - when he said "like", did he mean he liked her too? As soon as this thought came to his mind, he suppressed it, but the corners of his mouth couldn't help but rise slightly.

"Then sister-in-law, can we leave now?" Ji Lu raised his little face, his eyes sparkling with traces of tears, like a kitten that had just been stroked.

"Let me call dad first." Mu Han replied with a smile, turned and walked to the window and dialed his father's number.

The call was quickly picked up, and my father's voice came through the receiver, with a bit of leisure: "Why are you calling so suddenly?"

"Dad, let's go see you now. Mom...is she busy?" Mu Han spoke cautiously, for fear of angering his mother.

"'We'?" My father's tone suddenly tightened. "Who are you with?"

"And Ji Xingyuan's son is called Ji Lu, he's a very cute kid." Mu Han explained quickly.

There was silence on the other end of the phone for a few seconds, and then I heard my father's helpless sigh: "Come on, I'll talk to your mother."

After hanging up the phone, the three of them went downstairs and got in the car. The car drove halfway and stopped in front of a luxury store.

"Hanhan, wait for me in the car for a while." Lu Zhizhi said, opened the car door and walked in quickly. In less than ten minutes, he came back with a bag printed with a gold-plated logo. When he sat in the driver's seat, he smiled at Mu Han before starting the car.

Mu Han looked at the bag and didn't ask any questions. His fingertips unconsciously rubbed the ring on his ring finger.

Not long after, the car arrived at the hospital. Mu Han knocked gently on the ward door, and after receiving a response, he slowly pushed it open. As he reached his father's bedside, Ji Lu rushed in like a cannonball, followed closely by Lu Zhizhi, still holding the gift bag.

Mu Han glanced at his mother sitting there expressionlessly, and his heart skipped a beat. He subconsciously looked at his father, who shook his head helplessly. It was obvious that his previous persuasion was not effective.

Ji Lu noticed Mu Han's mother's indifference towards Lu Zhizhi with her sharp eyes. With a quick thought, she suddenly ran to her, tilted her head up, looked at her with her big, watery eyes, and said in a baby voice, "Pretty auntie, can you hold little Lu?"

Mu Han's mother's heart was moved when he called her "beautiful aunt", but she still said calmly: "Okay." She maintained calmness on the surface, but couldn't help muttering in her heart - why does this child look so adorable?

Ji Lu was held in his arms. Seeing that she still had no expression, he deliberately pursed his lips and choked up a little: "Beautiful Auntie, do you not like Xiao Lu? Why don't you talk to Xiao Lu?"

That aggrieved little look, tears about to fall. Mu Han's mother couldn't stand this, and quickly coaxed her softly: "No, no, Auntie likes you, I was just thinking about something just now, don't cry, okay?"

"Really?" Ji Lu sniffed and confirmed with a crying voice.

"Really." Mu Han's mother reached out and pinched his soft cheek. Her heart had already softened to pieces - this little thing was obviously pretending to be pitiful, but people just couldn't bear to be cruel to him.

At this time, Lu Zhizhi spoke at the right time and put the bag in his hand on the bedside table: "Uncle, aunt, this is just a small token of my appreciation."

Mu Han's mother glanced at it casually, and after seeing the logo on the bag clearly, she was secretly shocked. Isn't this the top jewelry brand that is said to have a queue of half a year to buy it? As expected, the Lu family, their actions are different.

My father also saw it, and the two exchanged glances, both maintaining a calm surface. My father said politely, "You're here, so why bring a gift?"

"It's my duty." Lu Zhizhi smiled gently, his tone full of respect.

For the rest of the day, his mother spent almost the entire time playing with Ji Lu, telling him stories and teaching him to recognize fruits, unable to hide the smile in the corners of her eyes. Lu Zhizhi and Mu Han, on the other hand, chatted with their father, from the company's recent developments to the weather. The atmosphere was surprisingly harmonious.

After returning home from the hospital and having dinner, Mu Han went back to the studio.

A week later, Ji Xingyuan sent someone to pick up Ji Lu and take him home. Before leaving, the little guy hugged Mu Han's legs and cried for a long time, saying that he couldn't bear to leave his "little sister-in-law". Finally, Lu Zhizhi promised to bring him over on the weekend, and he reluctantly followed the bodyguard.

That day, Mu Han had just arrived at the studio when his cell phone rang. It was his master calling.

"Hanhan, Master is back today. I'll treat you to dinner tonight. By the way, call Xiaoluo too." The voice on the other end of the phone revealed the joy of returning home.

"Okay, where is it?" Mu Han's tone suddenly became cheerful.

In the evening, Mu Han and Luo Wanghan arrived at the agreed-upon private room in the hotel on time. When they opened the door, they saw the master sitting at the main seat, next to Edward. Qin Hui was also there, smiling and waving at them.

"Uncle is finally back!" Luo Wanghan ran over happily and shook his master's arm.

"Master." Mu Han walked forward, his eyes full of joy.

After a long separation, the few of them chatted with each other in a particularly speculative manner. Mu Han and the master had endless things to talk about, and they drank and talked, unknowingly drinking too much. In the end, Mu Han slumped over the table, drunk and unconscious, and the master was half-held in Edward's arms, his eyes blurred.

Time passed by little by little. Lu Zhizhi looked at his watch. It was almost eleven o'clock, and Mu Han had not returned yet. He frowned, feeling a little uneasy. How could a meal take so long? He called Mu Han's phone, but it rang for a long time before it was picked up.

"Hanhan, when will you come back?" There was a subtle worry in his voice.

Luo Wanghan's somewhat helpless voice came from the receiver: "Mr. Lu, Brother Han is drunk, do you want to come and pick him up?"

"Send me the address." Lu Zhizhi immediately stood up and picked up his coat.

Luo Wanghan gave the address, hung up the phone and drove over.

By the time he arrived, his master and Edward had already left, and Qin Hui was waiting in the private room with Luo Wanghan. Without much greeting, Lu Zhizhi walked straight to the table, easily lifted Mu Han, who was sprawled on the table, and strode towards the door.

After getting into the car and putting the person down, Mu Han suddenly opened his eyes and looked at him straight.

Lu Zhizhi's heart skipped a beat, and he softened his tone: "Awake? I'll take you home right now."

Mu Han stared at him blankly for a few seconds, then suddenly blurted out, "I want some candy."

Lu Zhizhi was stunned for a moment, then burst into laughter. He quickly fished out a few Alpine candies from his pocket—he'd heard Ji Lu say Mu Han liked them, so he'd specially prepared them. He unwrapped a strawberry-flavored candy and carefully placed it in Mu Han's mouth. He then fastened his seatbelt before starting the car.

Along the way, Mu Han just stared at him straight, with some candy crumbs on the corners of his mouth, and occasionally laughed foolishly, which made Lu Zhizhi feel soft and itchy in his heart, and his hands holding the steering wheel tightened a little unconsciously.
