Old friend

Old friend

As soon as the car stopped at the door of the villa, Lu Zhizhi unbuckled his seat belt. Seeing Mu Han still lying in his seat, he leaned over and said in a gentle voice, "Baby, we're here. Why don't you get out?"

Mu Han looked up at him, his eyes still hazy from the alcohol, his voice soft and a bit coquettish: "I want you to carry me in."

Lu Zhizhi's heart softened. How could he not respond? He immediately leaned over, picked the person up, and strode into the house. The person in his arms was light and fluttery, like a ball of cotton. There was a faint smell of alcohol on his breath, mixed with the usual turpentine smell on his body, which made him feel inexplicably at ease.

As soon as he stepped into the living room, Mu Han suddenly struggled and jumped out of his arms. He walked a few steps to the sofa and sat down, supporting himself with his hands on the edge of the sofa, looking up at Lu Zhizhi who followed him.

Lu Zhizhi slowed down his pace and walked over, then squatted down in front of him, his eyes level with his, patiently coaxing him like a child: "What's wrong? Are you tired? Let's go take a shower and go to bed, okay?"

Mu Han didn't say anything, just staring at him, the light in her eyes flickering, like a night sky filled with stars. Lu Zhizhi didn't rush him, just waiting quietly, his fingertips unconsciously rubbing his knees.

Suddenly, Mu Han leaned forward, put his hands on his shoulders, and his drunken lips pressed against his without warning.

Lu Zhizhi froze, his mind going blank. This sudden kiss was light and soft, like a feather brushing across his heart. Before he could come to his senses, Mu Han had already retreated, a look of bewilderment in his eyes, as if he was also surprised by his actions.

A surge of heat surged up from the depths of his heart, burning his throat. Lu Zhizhi squeezed his eyes shut, his mind screaming at him – he was drunk, he couldn't take advantage of someone in distress. If he woke up tomorrow and remembered this, he'd definitely be furious.

He took a deep breath, suppressing those surging thoughts. When he spoke again, his voice was slightly hoarse: "Hanhan, be obedient, let's go to bed."

Mu Han opened his arms like a kitten asking for a hug. Lu Zhizhi had no choice but to pick him up again and walked upstairs carefully, taking every step very steadily, for fear of disturbing the person in his arms.

After gently placing him on the large bed in the bedroom, Lu Zhizhi stood up and wanted to tell him to take a shower, but his wrist was suddenly grabbed. Mu Han turned over and sat up, put his hands directly on the back of his neck, and kissed him again without saying anything.

This time, the kiss was a bit more impetuous and reckless, unlike the superficial taste from before. Their warm lips and tongues tangled together, their breathing gradually becoming more rapid. The room was so quiet that only the overlapping panting sounds of the two could be heard, like the delicate beats of a drum beating against my heart.

Mu Han was kissed so hard that he could hardly breathe. His cheeks were as red as if they were about to bleed, and tears welled up in the corners of his eyes. But he refused to let go, and instead deepened the kiss.

Lu Zhizhi's sanity had long been shaky. He followed his strength and pushed the man back onto the bed, kissing him fiercely and urgently. His hands unconsciously touched his waist, and his fingertips brushed across the delicate skin under the clothes, causing the man in his arms to tremble slightly.

He looked at Mu Han's red eyes and moist lips, the desire in his eyes almost overflowing, but he still forced himself to slow down his movements, and the kiss became gentle and lingering, with suppressed cherishment.

It was unknown how long it took, until both of them were out of breath, that Lu Zhizhi slightly moved away, resting his forehead against his, and said in a hoarse voice: "Be good, take a shower first."

Mu Han drowsily agreed and let him carry him to the bathroom. Lu Zhizhi patiently cleaned him up, dried him, carried him back to bed, and tucked him in. By the time he had finished and lay down, the person beside him was already sleeping soundly, breathing evenly.

He lay on his side, looking at Mu Han's sleeping face in the moonlight, his fingertips gently stroking his eyebrows, his heart softened.

Mu Han awoke in a daze the next afternoon. As soon as he opened his eyes, his entire body ached, as if it were falling apart, especially his waist and abdomen, which were throbbing with pain. The chaotic and shameful images of last night suddenly flooded his mind, and his face flushed red, wishing he could find a hole to crawl into.

Just as he was feeling annoyed, the bedroom door was gently pushed open, and Lu Zhizhi walked in with a tray. Seeing that he was awake, he walked even more lightly: "Hanhan, are you awake? Do you want some porridge?"

Mu Han didn't look at him, but just stared at the ceiling. His voice was so hoarse that he only said "hmm" softly.

He struggled to sit up, and Lu Zhizhi quickly put down the tray, strode forward, and picked him up horizontally. Mu Han didn't struggle, just let him carry him downstairs and put him on the chair in front of the dining table.

Lu Zhizhi quickly brought the warm porridge. Mu Han was indeed hungry, so he picked up the spoon and drank it in big gulps.

Seeing that he was enjoying the meal, Lu Zhizhi hesitated for a moment, but still reached out and gently pressed his hand on his waist, kneading it gently. Mu Han's body stiffened for a moment, but he didn't move away - it was really too painful, and being kneaded like this was indeed a lot more comfortable.

After Mu Han had eaten his fill, Lu Zhizhi carried him back to bed: "Rest for a while, I'll be downstairs, call me if you need anything."

Mu Han nodded. He was so tired that he fell asleep again soon.

When he woke up again, it was already the next morning. Mu Han got up, changed his clothes, washed up, and went downstairs. He saw Lu Zhizhi busy in the kitchen. The sunlight shone through the window on him, giving him a golden edge. He actually had the illusion of a peaceful life.

Breakfast was a simple porridge with some side dishes. The two of them didn't talk much, but they didn't feel awkward. Halfway through the meal, Lu Zhizhi suddenly said, "Hanhan, there's a banquet tonight. Would you like to go with me?"

Mu Han raised his eyes to look at him, said "hmm" lightly, and didn't ask any more questions.

In the morning, Mu Han went to the studio. Luo Wanghan was already there. After a few small talk, he went back to the studio. He just sat in front of the canvas for a long time, his brush still untouched. His mind couldn't help but recall what happened that night, and his cheeks were hot.

After an unknown amount of time, the door of the studio was gently pushed open, and Lu Zhizhi walked in and sat down on the chair beside him without disturbing him.

After a long while, Mu Han finally came back to his senses. He turned around and saw him. He was stunned for a moment, his eyes a little confused: "When did you come?"

"I just arrived." Lu Zhizhi smiled. "Are you done with your work? I'm here to take you home. It's time to get ready for the party."

"Yeah." Mu Han responded, packed up his things, and followed him out of the studio.

After returning home and having lunch, Lu Zhizhi refused to let him go out again and dragged him back to his room for a nap. Mu Han had no choice but to lie down. In his drowsiness, he felt someone lying next to him, with a familiar breath that made him feel inexplicably at ease.

When Lu Zhizhi woke him up, there was only an hour left before the banquet started. He took out a black suit from the cloakroom and said, "Try this. I had it prepared specially for you."

Mu Han took the clothes and walked into the fitting room. When he came out after changing, Lu Zhizhi was standing in front of the mirror adjusting his tie. He turned around and looked at him, his eyes widening in an instant.

The well-tailored black suit made his shoulders broad and waist narrow, and the collar was slightly open, revealing a bit of delicate collarbone. His hair, which was usually a little loose, was meticulously groomed, making him look less casual than an artist and more cold and noble. Lu Zhizhi's heart skipped a beat when he saw it.

Mu Han felt uncomfortable being looked at by him, frowned, and said with a cold tone: "Don't look at me."

"Oh, okay." Lu Zhizhi lowered his head quickly, but his ears turned red.

The two packed up and drove to the banquet hall. As soon as they entered, the originally noisy hall suddenly quieted down a bit. All eyes were cast at him, curious, inquisitive, envious... all kinds of eyes intertwined, making Mu Han feel uncomfortable.

Lu Zhizhi noticed his stiffness, calmly put his arm around his waist, and led him to a corner with fewer people: "Ignore them."

He took two glasses of red wine from the waiter's tray and handed one to Mu Han. Mu Han took it with his left hand. Just as his fingertips touched the wall of the glass, he heard a slightly sarcastic voice from behind him: "This is Mr. Mu, right? Oh, no, you should call her Mrs. Lu now."

Mu Han turned around and saw Jiang Yongyi standing there with a wine glass in his hand, a faint smile on his lips.

"Is there anything Mr. Jiang needs?" Mu Han said in a cold tone, he didn't have a good impression of this man.

Jiang Yongyi smiled, his eyes lingering on his face for a moment: "It's okay, I just think Madam Lu looks familiar, like an old friend of mine."

Lu Zhizhi took a step forward, pulled Mu Han closer to him, and interrupted him calmly, "Really? What a coincidence. By the way, how long do you plan to stay this time, Brother Jiang?"

Jiang Yongyi's gaze flicked across their clasped hands, and he smiled, changing the subject. Mu Han leaned against Lu Zhizhi's chest, clearly feeling the warmth of his palm. The discomfort she'd felt from being watched subtly dissipated.
