Chapter 134 Every Snowflake Says I Love You

She only ordered two items, handed the menu to the waiter, picked up the brown rice tea on the table and poured herself a cup.

"You are half an hour late. What have you been doing?" Liang Yuan settled the score.

Xia Xi took a sip of tea from the cup in both hands, looking down with a slightly guilty look on his face. He started to make up a story, "Isn't it snowing? The roads are slippery. For traffic safety, I'm driving slowly."

Liang Yuan tilted his head to search her eyes: "Is that so?"

Xia Xi couldn't help laughing and nodded: "I didn't lie to you."

Liang Yuan was inexplicably amused and laughed along: "Let me see if I believe your nonsense."

After Zhou Du finished a round of games, the dishes he ordered were served one after another and added to the boiling pot. He used his serving chopsticks to scoop up the beef, which shouldn't be overcooked, and shared it with the two women.

"Thank you for your hard work. I'll give you a big watermelon as a reward." Xia Xi handed him a plate of sliced yellow watermelon. "I just tasted it. It's so sweet."

"Thank you." Zhou Du picked up a piece of watermelon and took a bite. It was quite sweet.

The meal lasted over an hour, and outside it was already dark. The sky was always gray before the snow, but now the sky was like a huge inkstone, black without a trace of impurities.

Looking out through the window glass, the light from the street lights and the shops on both sides of the road was reflected on the snow, like a ground covered with sparkling fragments.

In this situation, Xia Xi couldn't help but raise her phone and took a photo of the window. She wanted to post it on WeChat Moments, but she couldn't control her fingers and sent it to the chat box with Xu Yanfeng.

"Do you still want to eat? If not, I'll turn off the heat." Zhou Du asked.

Liang Yuan waved his hand and said he couldn't eat anymore. Xia Xi also said he was full. He put his phone on the table, stood up and said, "Wait a moment, I'm going to the bathroom."

"Wait, I'll go too." Liang Yuan put his hands on her shoulders and let her lead him forward.

Zhou Du turned off the power, and the pot stopped boiling. He lazily leaned against the back of the booth and played with his phone.

Suddenly, a ringtone rang out. Zhou Du casually raised his eyelids. The ringtone came from Xia Xi's phone across from him. He stretched out his arm to pick up the phone, glanced at the screen, and frowned.

It was a voice call from a person with the note "a person who says one thing and means another".

Who is this?

Zhou Du hesitated for two seconds, pressed the green answer button, and put the phone to his ear: "Hello, who is this?"

"Xia Xi is not here?"

A young boy's voice, with some hesitation.

Zhou Du tilted his head slightly. He had never heard of this voice before. Perhaps it was someone he didn't know. He said truthfully, "Xia Xi went to the bathroom. If you have anything to say, you can talk to me first..."

Before I could even utter the word "say", the other party hung up the phone.

Zhou Du took the phone from his ear and held it up to his face. His head was full of questions. He couldn't figure out the man's intention in calling him.
