Chapter 413 Let's talk again tonight

Chen Ke parked the car steadily in the underground parking lot of the CN Building.

He unbuckled his seatbelt but did not get out of the car immediately.

He looked at Li Susu again in the rearview mirror.

He wished he could just keep watching her like this, even if it was just quietly watching her.

"arrive."

Li Susu nodded politely and reached for the car door.

Chen Ke, however, took the initiative, got out of the driver's seat, walked around to her side, and gentlemanly opened the car door for her.

The movements were executed in one smooth motion, as if he had done them countless times before.

Li Susu was slightly taken aback, then thanked her calmly.

"Thanks."

Chen Ke looked at her, a hint of barely perceptible disappointment in his eyes.

He knew that Li Susu had always kept her distance from him.

This sense of distance, like an insurmountable chasm, stood between him and her.

"Arno..."

He opened his mouth, but then hesitated and stopped.

Li Susu had already gotten out of the car and turned to look at him.

"Is there anything else?"

Her tone was calm, yet carried a hint of detachment.

Chen Ke took a deep breath, trying to suppress the surging emotions within him.

"I'd like to talk to you."

Li Susu gently shook her head.

"I have to go up to a meeting now, I'm afraid I won't have time."

She raised her wrist and glanced at her watch.

Chen Ke's gaze fell on her slender wrist, and his eyes dimmed.

He knew that this was just Li Susu's excuse.

She just didn't want to talk to him.

"And...what about tonight?"

Chen Ke was somewhat unwilling.

He had finally managed to spend time alone with her, and he didn't want to give up so easily.

"I'll go back to the hotel tonight, then we can talk again."

He added, his tone pleading.

Li Susu hesitated for a moment.

The words of refusal were on the tip of my tongue, but I couldn't bring myself to say them.

After all, Chen Ke had always been very good to her.

"good."

She eventually agreed.

A hint of joy appeared on Chen Ke's face.

"Then I'll contact you tonight."

Li Susu nodded and turned to walk towards the elevator.

Chen Ke watched her figure disappear into the elevator before turning back to his car.

He leaned back in his chair and let out a long sigh of relief.

Following the location sent by Fu Xingzhou, Li Susu entered the Under Armour Clinic, where a faint smell of disinfectant wafted towards her.

She frowned subconsciously, raised her hand to look at her watch, and saw it was exactly five o'clock.

In the consultation room, an elderly expert with gray hair and gold-rimmed glasses was looking through her medical records.

"Miss Chen, please have a seat."

The expert smiled kindly and pointed to the chair opposite him.

Li Susu sat down as instructed, feeling a vague unease in her heart.

After a brief examination, the expert removed his glasses and placed his fingers interlaced on the table.

He looked at Li Susu, his tone becoming serious.

"Ms. Chen, I'd like to ask you first, do you really want to recover?"

Li Susu was slightly taken aback, not understanding what he meant.

"Of course I want to. Is there something wrong with my body?"

The expert paused for a moment before speaking slowly.

"The blood clot in your brain hasn't spread yet, but if it does, the consequences will be much more serious."

Li Susu's heart sank suddenly.

Blood clots?

She had no idea that there was a blood clot in her brain.

"The best way is to have surgery to cure it completely."

The expert continued, "After the blood clot is removed, your memory will gradually return naturally."

memory……

Some blurry fragments flashed through Li Susu's mind, but they quickly disappeared.

She took a deep breath and tried to stay calm.

What are the chances of the surgery being successful?

She needs to know the worst possible outcome.

The expert paused for a moment, his tone grave.

"Seventy percent."
