Chen Ke clenched his fist and pounded hard on Li Susu's door.
"Arno! Arno! Open the door! Let's talk!"
His voice trembled slightly, his tone filled with anxiety and pleading.
The knocking echoed in the silent corridor, but there was no response.
Chen Ke slumped down, leaning weakly against the door.
He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and tried to calm himself down.
He knew that Li Susu must be very angry and disappointed at this moment.
But he had to make it clear; he couldn't let her misunderstand him.
However, she is now unwilling to give him any chance to explain.
Chen Ke suddenly opened his eyes, a cold glint flashing in them.
He knew why Li Susu had suddenly found out about this.
There could be no one else but Fu Xingzhou.
It was him! It must have been Fu Xingzhou who told her!
Thinking of this, Chen Ke could no longer suppress his anger.
He turned abruptly and strode away from the hotel.
Haoluyuan is Fu Xingzhou's private villa.
Chen Ke's sudden arrival did not surprise Fu Xingzhou.
He stood calmly at the door, looking at the furious Chen Ke.
"Mr. Chen, what brings you here so late?"
Fu Xingzhou's tone was devoid of any emotion, as if everything was under his control.
Chen Ke ignored his polite formalities and went straight to the point.
"Fu Xingzhou, why did you tell her?"
His tone was full of questioning and anger.
Fu Xingzhou raised an eyebrow slightly, a hint of amusement flashing in his eyes.
"Tell her what?"
He asked the question knowing the answer, but pretended to be innocent.
Chen Ke was enraged by his appearance. He stepped forward, pointed at Fu Xingzhou's nose, and roared.
"You knew perfectly well how dangerous that blood clot was! Yet you deliberately told her. What were you really up to?"
"Do you know that what you're doing could very well kill her!"
"You ask me what my intentions are?" Fu Xingzhou sneered, his tone laced with sarcasm. "President Chen, isn't it selfish of you to conceal Su Su's identity?"
Chen Ke sighed dejectedly, his shoulders slumped weakly, and his tightly clenched fists slowly loosened.
"I didn't come here to argue with you."
He raised his head, looking earnestly at Fu Xingzhou, his tone pleading.
"I just hope Arnold is safe."
Chen Ke's voice was a little hoarse.
"Her condition is indeed very serious."
He paused, his tone becoming even more somber.
"If we rush into surgery, my life may be in danger."
Chen Ke closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and tried to control his emotions.
“I would rather she live with her memory lost than watch her fall into danger.”
He opened his eyes again, looking at Fu Xingzhou with unwavering eyes.
"That's why I've always wanted you to stay away from her."
A crack appeared on Fu Xingzhou's originally indifferent expression, and a glimmer of surprise flashed in his eyes.
"so……"
His tone was hesitant, with a hint of disbelief.
"Chen Nuo...is Su Su?"
Chen Ke gritted his teeth, annoyed that he had spoken carelessly and revealed his weakness.
He wanted to explain, to refute, but found it was too late.
A relieved smile appeared on Fu Xingzhou's face, his heart filled with comfort and joy.
"My Susu... is finally back."
He muttered to himself.
Seeing this, Chen Ke became even more anxious. He quickly steered the conversation back to the main topic, his tone urgent.
