Chapter 78 A Small Gift for Liu Cixin

Holy crap, spider snails, so many spider snails! This rock is covered with spider snails.

He just pressed his hand on a spider snail and got pricked.

"Little Tiger, Little Tiger, come over here, there are so many spider snails!" Ye Cheng shouted.

"Ah, here it comes!" Little Tiger excitedly ran over as soon as he heard about the spider snails.

Before Ye Cheng could even remind him, the guy jumped down.

Ye Cheng helplessly covered his face. Sure enough, Xiao Hu slipped and fell flat on his backside.

Ouch!

Xiao Hu screamed in pain, but luckily Ye Cheng stepped in to cushion his fall, otherwise his head would have been smashed open.

"Damn it, I only said one less sentence, can't you be a little more composed?"

Xiao Hu rubbed his butt and stood up. "Didn't you say I ran fast because I had goods?"

"Well, there's the goods. If you hurry up, you'll be going to meet your maker."

Xiao Hu looked at the reef, and instantly his butt pain disappeared. He went up, grabbed a knife, and started prying open the spider snails.

Spider snails are large and have strong suction. They're easier to remove from the beach, but on the rocks, they're really hard to get down without some tools.

Ye Cheng didn't bring a knife, so he could only start shoveling with a shovel.

Fortunately, the shovel provided by the system was of good quality and sharp enough that it came off easily with a gentle pry.

The top was covered with a dense mass of swarms of swarms. After the two of them had been picking through it for a while, they hadn't even finished half of it when both buckets were full.

There was no other way but to send Xiao Hu to get the snakeskin bag while Ye Cheng continued to pry it open.

Xiao Hu ran very fast; Ye Cheng only managed to pry off four or five before returning. Young people are indeed very healthy.

Although he was young, Ye Cheng's mindset was no longer young. His body could run fast in such a place, but his mind couldn't.

They poured the spider snails from the bucket into a snakeskin bag; these things don't mind being dry. The two continued to pry them open.

I collected more than thirty spider snails, which filled an entire snakeskin bag.

"Brother, you've struck it rich today!"

"Good job, keep it up."

The two climbed out of the rocky area, walked a short distance, and then climbed over another rocky area.

The beach here is a shallow area with few rocks. The two of them had only taken a couple of steps when they found a shallow depression.

Inside, a group of white shrimp were leisurely enjoying the sea breeze.

Damn it, in this freezing weather, you guys are still enjoying the sea breeze, huh?

Brother, I'll find you a warm place to stay.

In such a shallow puddle, the shrimp really have nowhere to run. Ye Cheng and Xiao Hu can easily catch several with a simple net, which is much more convenient than catching shrimp in the deep water area before.

This area was full of small puddles. The two walked along them and found another patch of white shrimp every now and then. It seemed that this area was a gathering place for white shrimp.

The two of them didn't stand on ceremony; they scooped everything they saw into the bucket. Before long, the bucket was more than half full, and they were finding it a bit difficult to carry.

Ye Cheng looked up at the sky and felt that time was running out, and the time for his burst skill had long passed.

If we go any further, we probably won't be able to get back to Liu Village until dark.

Ye Cheng wasn't prepared to go beachcombing at night, so he called out to Xiao Hu, and the two of them started walking back along the same route, hoping to see if any fish had escaped.

Having just passed the rock where he caught spider crabs, Ye Cheng casually glanced at the sea and saw a shallow pool of water.

Just as he was about to turn his head, he saw a splash of water fly up from the pool.

In stock!

Ye Cheng walked over, glanced at it, and his eyes widened in surprise.

Damn it, are you guys eating hot pot?

In a small pond, four blue wrasses were crammed together, barely able to move.

It's probably because it was low tide and it didn't choose a good spot, so it got left behind.

He didn't stand on ceremony this time; he didn't even need to go down; he just stood on the rock and scooped it up.

No matter how hard they jumped, they couldn't escape being caught in the net. However, Ye Cheng also encountered a problem: the bucket was too small.

"Little Tiger, bring the tank over here, there are fish." Ye Cheng called out.

Xiao Hu was standing a dozen meters ahead when he heard Ye Cheng call him. He turned around with a helpless look on his face. "Brother, the water tank is a bit heavy. I can't move it by myself. You can take the snakeskin bag first."

There were fish and crabs in the tank, along with seawater to keep them alive, so it's normal that Xiaohu couldn't lift it.

There was no other way, so he had to ask Xiaohu to come over and put it in a snakeskin bag first.

As soon as the two fish went in, Xiao Hu immediately felt the pressure. The blue wrasse was already large, and these two were of medium size. Once inside, they struggled fiercely, forcing Xiao Hu to hold on tightly to the opening of the snakeskin bag.

After Ye Cheng pulled the other two out, Xiao Hu, without saying a word, slung the snakeskin bag over his shoulder and ran towards the water tank.

It's safer to put it in the box.

Just as Ye Cheng was about to follow, he saw two antenna-like things sticking out from the bottom of the pool.

This thing looks so familiar, it's a lobster.

I never imagined that such a small pond could contain so many things.

Ye Cheng was a little afraid of the crabs, but not the lobsters. He simply grabbed one and pulled it out of the mud. It was a big little green lobster, another top-quality catch.

When Xiao Hu returned and saw the little green dragon in the bucket, he shook his head in shock, unable to understand how Ye Cheng's beachcombing was so simple.

The two searched the area again, but the little green dragon was gone. They found two spider snails, a few sea cucumbers, and several pounds of white shrimp.

There was really nothing left, so Ye Cheng called out and he and Xiao Hu carried the things back.

Ye Cheng checked the time; it was already 6 p.m. and getting a bit dark. He wondered where Da Liu had taken his motorcycle.

Back in Liu Village, we could see Da Liu and the others squatting on the beach smoking from afar.

As soon as they saw Ye Cheng and the others return, Da Liu called out to them, and several people rushed over, eager to help.

Ye Cheng quickly stopped him, "No need, no need, we can carry it, it's not much."

"Oh, it's alright, it's alright. Come on, lend a hand." Da Liu immediately reached out and lifted it up.

As soon as he touched it, his hand felt a little heavier.

"Damn, that's a lot, Cheng," Da Liu said with a grin.

Ye Cheng chuckled awkwardly; this was like a weasel offering New Year's greetings to a chicken.

A group of people carried the things back to the beach. Da Liu spoke first, "Here, your motorcycle is. It still has plenty of gas. The brothers have been guarding it to ensure its safety."

Ye Cheng chuckled and handed the bucket to Da Liu, "Here, this is just a small token of my appreciation. Thank you for your help, brothers."

Liu glanced at the bucket and saw two spider snails and two blue crabs. A smile immediately spread across his face.

"You're too kind. There must be some good stuff in this water tank."

As Da Liu took the items, he greedily eyed the water tank.

"Not many, just a few fish."

Before returning, Ye Cheng had already decided that he definitely couldn't get past Da Liu, so he had to give him something.
