Chapter 75 Explosion

The six of them only realized the extent of Gu Li's neck injury after they left the alley. The wound was mottled from the repeated pulling and rubbing of the knife, and the blood on the side of her neck was incredibly glaring. Even her damp collar was a sight to behold.

Jiang Xu's eyes, however, were fixed on the wound. He saw the wound on Gu Li's neck very clearly. He closed his eyes to calm his surging anger. He couldn't even turn his head to look at the culprit. He was afraid that if he moved, he would aggravate Gu Li's wound.

Despite his repeated reminders, the emotions that were eroding his reason continued to rage and refuse to give up. He felt that the guy named Liu Mingtang deserved to die!

Clearly, Jiang Xu wasn't the only one who felt this way. Liu Mingtang felt as if he were being scrutinized by gazes that were as sharp as scraping his bones, and he felt a chill run down his spine.

Lu Chao looked at the ambulance that had come to a stop, "Jiang Xu, you took Gu Li up there. We'll flag down a car and be there soon."

Jiang Xu responded and led Gu Li towards the ambulance.

Gu Li felt very dizzy. The alcohol was making him feel a slight pain in his neck as he walked, and he was in a daze.

Jiang Xu said, "Lift your leg." He led the person to the car. Gu Li followed his movements like a puppet. "Can I get in?"

Gu Li, "Hmm?" His eyes were full of doubt.

Jiang Xu put Gu Li's hands around his shoulders, then lifted her up in his arms, saying, "It'll be over in a second."

Gu Li rested his head on Jiang Xu's shoulder. His slowly turning mind cleared up for a moment when he was airborne, and then he realized that he was being carried in a princess carry.

He froze, then looked at Jiang Xu in disbelief. "What's going on? Am I dreaming?"

Jiang Xu didn't answer, but calmly got into the car. He nodded to the nurse in the car who had wanted to help but couldn't, "It's okay, thank you."

Gu Li was still in shock even after being placed in her seat.

Jiang Xu looked at the red head on his shoulder. The person was shocked, but still quite well-behaved.

Gu Li's mind, clouded by alcohol, gradually became chaotic as he pondered. His thoughts drifted, and the shoulder he was resting on helped him relax. He slowly closed his eyes.

When Gu Li woke up again, she found herself surrounded by five handsome young men.

When Xu Lang saw that Gu Li had woken up, he said, "You scared us to death, Gu Li. Your behavior of not telling us when you were injured will be severely condemned."

Lu Chao nodded, "Agreed. You're just going to waste your breath arguing with that guy, right? Can't we talk about it later? Go ahead and tell me."

Xie Tao: "Exactly, it's one thing for him to be in trouble, but what's the point of you staying with him?"

Even Ji Hai's expression was serious. "Shouldn't you at least let me bandage you up first, and then you can talk to him slowly?"

The other three shifted their gaze from Gu Li back to Ji Hai. "Hai, you're eliminated in this round." They looked at Jiang Xu. "Jiang Xu, you come here."

Jiang Xu looked calmly at Gu Li. Just as the other four thought he should be more stern, Jiang Xu spoke up and asked softly, "Does it still hurt, Gu Li?"

Lu Chao rolled his eyes. "Fine, I guess I was overthinking it."

Xu Lang: "Okay, I knew I was right about spoiling children."

Xie Tao: "Hai, this is your successor, right?"

Just as Gu Li was about to speak, Jiang Xu continued, "I think the doctor didn't bandage him enough. Let's contact him and get a cast put on, so he doesn't take it lightly and bleed like water." He nodded as if confirming his point, "It'll protect him better and teach him a lesson, what do you think?"

Lu Chao realized he had rolled his eyes too early. "I admit I spoke too soon. Your idea is brilliant."

Xu Lang: "The little boat of pampering has encountered a tsunami. Good luck, Gu Li."

Xie Tao simply gave Jiang Xu a thumbs up.

Ji Hai smiled and said, "Perhaps it really is a good idea."

Gu Li lay there staring at the ceiling. "I must be hallucinating because I'm in so much pain."

Jiang Xu felt the joke had gone far enough. "Is anything bothering you? The doctor will be here soon."

Gu Li looked at Jiang Xu and said, "I'm fine, I'm very fine. I don't need a cast, and I don't need a doctor."

Jiang Xu nodded, a reassuring smile on his face. "I know, I'm not here to get a cast, just a quick check-up."

Gu Li responded with an "Oh," and looked away. He felt he had drunk too much, and his first thought upon hearing "doctor" was only about plaster casts. "Well, come on then, but I'm fine. If I had to say what's bothering me, I think the hospital beds and the smell are a bit unpleasant."

Xu Lang: "Just bear with it. It's your own fault for being unconscious for three hours straight."

Gu Li, "Three hours?"

Ji Hai nodded. "To be precise, it's three and a half hours."

Gu Li: "Could it be that I'm feeling sleepy because I drank a little?"

After he said that, the group exchanged glances. Jiang Xu thought for a moment and then said, "There's a possibility, but we need to check it again anyway."

Just then, the doctor entered the room, and the five people stepped back to allow the doctor to examine Gu Li.

Gu Li cooperated fully with the manipulation, only showing slight resistance when the doctor examined his eyes.

After the doctor's examination, he said, "It's nothing serious, just some minor skin injuries. The blood loss is causing chills and drowsiness, but otherwise, there's nothing wrong."

Jiang Xu: "Does he need to be hospitalized for observation?"

The doctor was writing something down with a pen. "No need, just change the dressing on time. You can change the dressing yourself. If you can't, come to the hospital to change it."

The five people escorted the doctor to the door, saying, "Thank you, doctor."

They walked back to the bedside. Gu Li had already sat up. He touched his neck, feeling the bandage wrapped around it, and sighed.

Seeing him sigh, Ji Hai said, "Don't worry, just change the dressing properly, it won't leave a scar."

Gu Li said, “No,” his voice was full of regret, “I’m just upset that I spent so much money on apple cider vinegar for you guys, it cost me a whopping 30 yuan.” He stood up, “It all went to that guy.”

Jiang Xu walked to the bedside and unscrewed a bottle of mineral water. "It's kind of you to remember this. Drink some water to make up for forgetting about you with apple cider vinegar."

Gu Li took the water. "We can't forget it. If even I forget it," he said slowly, "then it would be too pitiful."

Lu Chao: "I strongly suspect that you actually injured your brain, but the doctor didn't find it in the examination."

Gu Li said, "I'll buy apple cider vinegar later, I won't buy it for you."

Xu Lang said, "Brother Li, don't worry about it. My suggestion is that you go back and rest early."

Ji Hai: "Yes, rest. You can't drink alcohol anyway, so don't even think about the apple cider vinegar, Brother Li."

Jiang Xu gently patted Gu Li's back, "Let's buy it when you're better and can drink again, Brother Li."

Upon hearing this, Lü Chao exclaimed, "Wow, Jiang Xu, you actually call him Brother Li? Did he bribe you?"

Jiang Xu smiled at Lü Chao but didn't answer. He looked at Gu Li with a smile and said, "How are you? Brother Li." He called out again as he asked, his voice as gentle as a breeze.

Gu Li felt like he was about to explode. Jiang Xu was openly calling him Brother Li, and he was smiling blatantly as he called him Brother Li.
