Jiang Xu looked straight at Gu Li and said, "How can I empathize? You're too much of a genius; I can't empathize with you."
Gu Li, "Then what pains you?"
Jiang Xu: "That's right, it's you who breaks my heart. Little brother, is your only pursuit eating instant noodles?"
Gu Li: "Let your brother see what you're capable of."
Jiang Xu said, “Of course,” he looked at Gu Li with great curiosity, “I have grain noodles with an excellent texture, safe and healthy ingredients, and I can control the ingredients myself. I can also add the healthy ingredients you mentioned. It’s simply perfect.”
Gu Li was presented with this result, which he should have found absurd, but he also felt it made some sense. "What should I do? I actually think you're quite right," he frowned slightly, "Does this mean I have to give up instant noodles?"
Jiang Xu said, "Don't worry, there are other people who will love it. You should add a few eggs to your noodles."
Gu Li decisively put down her instant noodles and thought for a moment, "I want two, soft-boiled ones, but oh, shouldn't I be the one frying the eggs?"
Jiang Xu: "Okay, come here, let me ask and get you some eggs. Isn't that thoughtful?"
Gu Li said, "We can have more of this useless thoughtfulness."
The last two steaming bowls of noodle soup were placed on the table, topped with a few leafy greens, two perfectly fried eggs, and meat and sausage. As soon as Jiang Xu put down the bowl, he clapped his hands and exclaimed, "Fantastic! Absolutely delicious!"
Gu Li pulled out a chair and sat down. "I also think I'm great, but you just said that once, so it's a bit unreal to say it again now."
Jiang Xu: "How could that be? Every time it's genuine."
Gu Li said, "Then pour me some water so I can try it out."
Jiang Xu pushed the water that had already been poured to Gu Li, saying, "This is truly a favor in a different sense."
The steam from the noodles rose on his face, and the soft slurping sound filled the quiet room. After a moment of silence, Jiang Xu spoke up as if he had thought of something, "I'll be checking attendance for some classes next week, and I won't be in some. I specifically chose these times to accommodate you."
Gu Li said, "That will speed up that guy's progress. Looks like I'll have to attend classes more often." He then drank some water. "We'll keep in touch later."
Jiang Xu replied, "Yes, I'll definitely get there in time." He thought for a moment and then asked, "Why are you paying special attention to dealing with Zhao Rangwen?"
Gu Li answered quickly, “Relationships are the most difficult to deal with, especially relationships with ulterior motives. His eyes are quite dangerous, full of resentment, hatred, and greed. If left unchecked, they will become a hidden danger sooner or later, for both you and me.” He continued, “Take the other two in your dorm, for example. They can be kept at a distance, but when it comes to love, it’s not something that can be solved by simply keeping away.”
Jiang Xu, "Love?"
Gu Li: "That's too much of a compliment, isn't it? But that's roughly the idea."
Jiang Xu nodded. "Are you full?"
There was only some noodle soup left in their bowls. Gu Li said, "I'm very full. It perfectly meets my expectations."
Jiang Xu: "It also meets my expectations."
When the bell rang on Tuesday morning, Jiang Xu and Gu Li got up together. They had previously agreed to have lunch together and then go to choose their driving instructors for the third part of the driving test.
When they arrived at the lobby, the same girl from before was sitting in the office, handling matters for other people. Jiang Xu and Gu Li were in line.
The process was quick, and it wasn't long before it was their turn. The girl looked at the computer and asked, "Hello, what service do you need?"
Jiang Xu took out his ID card and said, "I'll choose an instructor for driving test part three."
After printing the previous document, the girl looked up at Jiang Xu and said, "It's you." She seemed more relaxed. "Congratulations on passing your driving test."
Jiang Xu: "Thank you. The coach can still be chosen randomly."
The girl nodded. "Okay, you'll be notified via the app tomorrow. And I remember your previous request; I absolutely will not pair you with her again."
Jiang Xu nodded, "Thank you for your help."
Gu Li just listened from the side; there was more to the story. After Jiang Xu finished dealing with it, Gu Li and he left the driving school. "Who is she? Brother Xu is quite popular."
Jiang Xu said, "I can give you this good fortune for free if you want it, but you drank some lemon water again this morning, didn't you?"
Gu Li: "No, I was just asking out of curiosity. Is that a secret? So I can't tell you."
Jiang Xu: "Not at all. You know her too, Hu Bingbing."
Just then, Hu Bingbing, whom Jiang Xu had mentioned, was walking with Zhang He after finishing their meal in the cafeteria. Zhang He pointed ahead and said to Hu Bingbing, "Bingbing, look, there are candied hawthorns for sale today, and strawberries too! They look so red. Do you want some? I'll buy some."
Hu Bingbing glanced over, but her attention was immediately drawn to another shade of red—a flamboyant red that she had seen several times before.
It was Jiang Xu and Gu Li.
From their perspective, the two can be seen walking out of the driving school and standing together talking.
Hu Bingbing glanced at the driving school and immediately realized that Jiang Xu was there to choose a driving instructor for his third driving test. Luckily, she had waited a few more days, so the girl could arrange for two people to share one instructor.
Hu Bingbing smiled and said to Zhang He, "No need, I'm on a diet recently. I also just remembered I have something to do. Can you go back to your dorm first?"
Zhang He: "Don't you need me to come with you, Bingbing?"
Hu Bingbing shook her head, "No need, it's nothing, I'll be back in a bit."
Zhang He nodded, "Alright then."
Hu Bingbing stood there waving goodbye to Zhang He, and only walked towards the driving school after watching Zhang He leave.
Meanwhile, Zhang He, who was walking on the other side, suddenly paused. She noticed Gu Li's red hair and then turned around to find that Hu Bingbing was gone. She frowned. Did Bingbing see something that made her sad and not want to run into the two of them?
She thought angrily, why should Bingbing avoid them, and what they said was too much.
Zhang He jogged forward and said, "Wait for me a moment."
Jiang Xu and Gu Li turned around when they heard the voice behind them. Jiang Xu glanced at them and then turned back to Gu Li, saying, "It has nothing to do with us, let's go."
Gu Li turned around and said, "Yes, indeed."
Zhang He quickly took two steps and blocked their way, saying, "I already said to wait a moment."
Gu Li glanced at the person and said, "I don't want to borrow money, apply for a card, or scan a QR code. Can you please move aside?"
Jiang Xu: "Same here, please move aside, classmate."
Zhang He looked at Jiang Xu and said, "Since I've run into you, I think you should apologize to Bingbing."
Jiang Xu: "What do you think? Who are you?"
Gu Li said, "Now even strangers do this; they come up to you and demand an apology."
Zhang He was taken aback. "You two don't know me? How is that possible?"
Gu Li asked in confusion, "Are you very famous? Why should we know you?" He then added, "Even if you are very famous, it's normal that we don't know you."
Zhang He pointed to herself, "We've definitely met before, and we even talked quite a bit, during the club recruitment."
Jiang Xu looked at Zhang He again, "Really? There were too many people at the time, I don't remember."
Gu Li, "I think I have a vague memory of it," Zhang He looked at Gu Li, hoping he could remember, but Gu Li was going to disappoint her in the end, "Oh, I don't remember it again."
