Struggling to climb out of the pile of bones, a series of system notifications echoed in my mind.
[Congratulations to player Liu Nian for being the first to successfully clear the dungeon! Rewards: 1000 experience points, 100 reputation points, and one special card draw]
[Congratulations to player Liu Nian for being the first to successfully clear the easy difficulty dungeon. Rewards: 300 experience points, 30 reputation points, and one special card draw]
[Congratulations to player Liu Nian for being the first to successfully recruit a follower. Reward: 200 experience points and 20 reputation points]
Congratulations to player Liu Nian for successfully leveling up to level 5!
Congratulations to player Liu Nian for successfully leveling up to level 6!
[Player Liu Nian has successfully leveled up to level 5 and has drawn one class skill book.]
Happiness came so suddenly that Liu Nian, lying on the pile of bones, discovered that all of her wounds had actually healed.
It seems that upgrading can also heal wounds. I didn't know this because I had never been injured before.
However, there are also imperfections. Because the boss was taken over, there were no boss drops, and the magic points for leveling up were wasted.
With so many rewards suddenly appearing, I don't know which one to draw first.
Open the panel and first draw the skill book given at level 5. Of course, the more skills you have, the better.
The skill selection process was relatively simple; the system directly allowed Liu Nian to choose one of three skills.
First-tier Dark Magic: Lament
Sorrow: Reduces the morale of a single-target spellcaster.
First-tier Dark Magic: Fear
Fear: Causes a check on a single target, determining whether it takes effect based on the difference between the target's (Spirit) and the caster's (Intelligence).
First-tier Dark Magic: Fatigue
Fatigue: Increases the stamina loss of single-target spellcasting targets.
Aside from morale, whose usefulness is currently unknown, fatigue and fear are all good choices for Liu Nian. After hesitating for a moment, Liu Nian chose fear.
Putting everything else aside, at least escaping is easy. Just cast a fear spell, then run away—isn't that perfect?
Perhaps because I didn't wash my hands, I only got two general skills in the two special draws.
Basic Dark Magic: After learning this, you can use third-tier dark magic.
Dark Space: Accelerates the recovery speed of followers and summoned creatures.
After learning these skills, Liu Nian looked at his character profile.

Liu Nian looked at his panel with satisfaction, and the good news he had received made him grin from ear to ear.
Inside the secret room, a portal exactly the same as the one used to enter silently opened. Liu Nian was so focused on looking at his own panel that he didn't even notice when the portal opened.
I spent 140 mana points to successfully level up the ghoul to level 2, and summoned another ghoul.
Seeing that he had very little mana left, Liu Nian led the ghoul into the portal.
After another dizzying spin, I was back in the supermarket. I glanced at my watch; it had started running again. After a quick calculation, I realized I had been in the dungeon for over four hours.
Go outside, then summon skeletons, watching the skeleton mage Tiffany summon skeletons.
"It was actually a woman, and it summoned even more than I did!" Surprised? Shocked?
But there's more than that when it's a boss, right? Did they run out of mana? Or is the "whitewashing" effect making them weaker?
He looked at Tiffany with a puzzled expression.
Now Liu Nian has three skeletons and two ghouls, and Tiffany has five skeletons.
A large group of skeletons surrounded Liu Nian, giving him the treatment usually reserved for celebrities.
After clearing out a group of infected, Liu Nian discovered that Tiffany was actually competing with him for experience points.
"What happened to admiring me? You've been secretly leveling up behind my back." Liu Nian complained helplessly as he looked at the notification that only a little experience points had been credited to his account.
However, Liu Nian also noticed that whether it was Tiffany or Liu Nian's own summoned creatures that killed infected people, it would trigger Soul Devouring.
When you calculate it this way, it's not a particularly bad deal. After all, the efficiency of killing monsters is high now, and leveling up is a long way off anyway. Looking at the astronomical number of 1500 experience points needed to level up, Liu Nian felt helpless and resigned.
They cleared out the infected along the way, and with Tiffany's strong support, the small groups of infected were dealt with before they could even get close.
As Liu Nian unknowingly drew closer to home and his magic points surged again, he decided to try out his newly acquired skills.
"fear"
After the two-second casting time, the infected on the other side did not react at all.
Necromancer and mechanical units are unaffected by fear.
The system's voice carried a hint of sarcasm.
Awkward, but luckily no one saw it, so what's there to be afraid of? There's nothing shameful about the exploratory stage.
I glanced at the character panel and saw that a single Fear spell consumes 10 mana points. Most people would run out of mana after only a few uses.
The dark space, however, gave Liu Nian a pleasant surprise. After a magic circle was formed, the skeleton army walked into the magic circle and disappeared instantly.
A recall magic circle model appeared in his mind, and with a thought, the skeleton army reappeared in the magic circle in front of Liu Nian and was sent back.
I'll definitely be going to residential areas in the city in the future; it wouldn't be proper to bring a whole bunch of skeletons with me.
This skill is great for temporarily storing skeletons; they're all very useful skills.
In the familiar chamber, the skull mage Tiffany's head was smashed by a warhammer.
"There was no notification for the first clear of the dungeon? Could someone else have taken it?" Impossible, absolutely impossible. I painstakingly gathered five professionals, and we lost three in the boss battle just now. How could someone beat me to it? How can I not be furious?
The paladin removed his helmet, and a blond, blue-eyed foreign lad stared in disbelief.
The man's name was John Joe, and he belonged to the European aristocracy. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, but his ferocious face was completely at odds with his status.
This is understandable, though. His subordinates discovered the dungeon, and in order to achieve the world's first kill, the Paladin, who had just undergone his first job advancement, actually got into trouble in the dungeon.
Putting everything else aside, the five professionals that the family had gathered at great expense are now reduced to just one priest. How could he not be furious?
