A few days later, Luo Xikui's cold was completely cured.
The day for Xu Ziyu to leave the country had arrived.
The morning she woke up to a cloudless sky. She desperately wanted a rainstorm to keep him there, but the weather was not cooperating.
After 3 p.m., people kept asking her if she was going or not. Her brother, mother, younger brother, Xin Chun and Xiao Mengmeng called her.
She was unusually assertive, waving her hand dismissively and saying, "I'm not going. I'm going to practice the piano at home."
When Xiang Hengxi heard her say that, he smiled and didn't insist. He then went out on his own.
After he left, Luo Xikui hesitated again. This might be the last time she saw him before the New Year, and he might be too busy with his studies to come back for the New Year.
Should she go and ask him what the little rabbit meant?
He always leaves her with such ambiguous answers, which is clearly intentional, isn't it?
After much hesitation, seeing the clock strike 3:40, she finally couldn't resist anymore.
I grabbed the little rabbit and ran downstairs. I ran quickly to the yard, only to see the older brother, who had already said he was leaving, still leaning against the car, looking down at his watch.
"You're quite determined this time. I underestimated you by five minutes." Xiang Hengxi looked up at her, flashing a bright white smile, and opened the back door.
Luo Xikui sat down, her cheeks slightly flushed. She felt really spineless; she had already said she wouldn't go, but she still went.
Xiang Hengxi, however, was already used to her younger sister's unprincipled way of handling Xu Ziyu's issues.
The Shen family's home is about an hour's drive from the new airport, so we were in a bit of a rush to get there.
When they arrived at the checkpoint, Xu Ziyu had just said goodbye to his family and checked in his large luggage, and was about to go inside.
Just before entering the pass, he couldn't help but look back and search around. Not seeing Luo Xikui, he then looked away.
"Ayu," Xiang Hengxi called out to Xu Ziyu.
Xu Ziyu turned around to look behind him, but only saw Xiang Hengxi, which disappointed him.
Xiang Hengxi smiled and teased, "Are you feeling particularly down because you didn't see the person you wanted to see?"
Xu Ziyu ignored his joke and simply asked, "Is her cold better?"
"How can I come to see you if I'm not in a good mood?" Xiang Hengxi said, seeing that time was running out, and stopped beating around the bush, pointing to the signboard not far away.
After the girl arrived, she changed her mind and insisted on hiding behind the signboard, begging him not to tell Xu Ziyu that she had come.
However, as a loving older brother who dotes on his younger sister, he knew that she was saying one thing but meaning another.
Xu Ziyu put down the bag he was carrying and strode towards the sign.
Xiang Hengxi and the others who came to see her off watched as if it were a show, which somewhat eased Ni Sitian's initial sadness.
Xin Chun stared intently, her expression darkening. Pei Yumeng couldn't help but call out in confusion, "Sister Chun?"
Xin Chun immediately put on a smile, as if nothing had happened.
Luo Xikui hid behind the signboard, watching Xu Ziyu get closer and closer, and suddenly panicked and wanted to run away.
She did do that, but she couldn't grab his wrist after only a few steps.
She lowered her head, pursed her lips, and turned to face him.
"Didn't you say you weren't coming to deliver it?" Xu Ziyu let go of her hand and looked at the top of her head.
"I didn't want to come, but my brother dragged me here," Luo Xikui said awkwardly.
Xu Ziyu chuckled, looking at the rabbit head sticking out halfway in her hand, and said, "Did Aheng also force you to bring this rabbit?"
Luo Xikui heard him laugh, looked up and glared at him, knowing full well why he had to expose her excuse!
