Chapter 1581 Extra Chapter 091: That Evening

Xu Ziyu stood there holding her for over half an hour. The pain in his legs had gone numb, but the pain in his heart was growing increasingly intense. Every tear she shed burned him.

"Ayu, let me go." Luo Xikui took a deep breath, composed herself, and broke free from his embrace.

Xu Zi calmed down upon seeing her and lowered his hand.

Luo Xikui took two steps back, turned her head to look out the window, her eyes, which had just been crying, stung from the sunlight.

After a long silence between them, Xu Ziyu clenched his fist, veins bulging, and asked in a hoarse voice, "Who is that person?"

Luo Xikui shuddered, recalling that evening at the end of March four years ago.

That day after school, she planned to practice the piano in the music room for a while, so she didn't ask Uncle Chao to pick her up.

After she finished practicing the piano, it was getting a little dark, so she left the school and headed to the subway station to take the subway home.

Seeing that the gloomy weather looked like it was about to rain, she took a side path that she didn't usually take.

Little did she know that she would be surrounded by a group of thugs. Just as they were harassing her, Xin Chun stopped them.

After that, the scene descended into chaos.

She resisted but was knocked unconscious. After a few dozen seconds of disorientation, the thugs started tearing at her clothes.

Xin Chun rushed over and protected her tightly. Later, probably due to the aftereffects of turning her head, she fainted again. She vaguely heard Xin Chun crying and begging them not to touch her, and threatening that she was the daughter of the commander and that they would die a terrible death if they touched her.

"Then you can take my place." The men then let out a series of lewd and nauseating laughs.

She lost consciousness and when she woke up again, it was already dark. Those people were no longer in the alley. Her clothes were somewhat tattered but still intact, but she did not see Xin Chun!

She panicked and tried to call the police, but her phone had already been stolen.

After she got up, she saw Xin Chun's books and pencil case scattered under the streetlights deep in the alley, and she ran over quickly.

But as they ran closer, they heard a series of sobbing sounds; it was Xin Chun crying.

She caught her breath and walked over with trembling hands. She saw that Xiao Chun's top was torn to shreds, her skirt was ripped, her body was covered in bruises, and she had a wound on her forehead. She looked like a rag doll that had been trampled on, and she seemed to have lost her soul.

She squatted down, tears welling in her eyes, and reached out with trembling hands, but Xin Chun dodged as if she had gone mad.

She saw that Xin Chun's skirt was stained with bloodstains and some white scum.

In that instant, it felt as if a grand building had collapsed in front of her, crushing her and making it hard for her to breathe.

She hugged Xin Chun, and no matter how hard she cried, she couldn't make a sound; it felt like she was on the verge of death.

They didn't call the police in the end. They found a small hotel nearby, where she bought Xin Chun some clothes, and the two of them dealt with everything.

Xin Chun didn't want this matter to be brought up again and begged her to keep it a secret from everyone, even if it meant death.

She knew how hurtful this was to a girl in the prime of her life, so she kept it to herself and would never say a word.

This nightmare haunted her every day during that period, tormenting her to the point of near collapse.

However, the nightmare was not over yet. In early May, Xin Chun began to vomit.

They were young then, and in the moment of the incident, they couldn't have thought that far ahead.

And so, Xin Chun became pregnant.
