Chapter 21 A Strange Encounter at the Paramount

That set of moves was crisp and clean, absolutely awesome!

If the atmosphere hadn't been so inappropriate, Xu Zhuohua would have applauded Cheng Muyun.

"You're the first person to dare speak to me like that." Cheng Muyun's voice was cold, like three feet of frozen ice in the Arctic, which made Xu Zhuohua shiver.

She looked at the police officer and sighed. "Really, I didn't check the almanac before I left home. Of all people to offend, I had to offend Cheng Muyun."

Cheng Muyun raised his finger, and the pistol clicked. Xu Zhuohua saw it clearly; Cheng Muyun's eyes flashed with murderous intent, and the police officer's body suddenly stiffened.

"Help! Help!" the police officer began to shout.

This shout instantly attracted everyone's attention, including Chen Hede.

The officer continued shouting, "Chief Chan, help! This man has a gun!"

Chen Hede walked slowly through the crowd, a faint smile playing on his lips.

"Young Marshal Cheng, you seem to be in high spirits today. Are you here to support Miss Hu Moli?"

Cheng Muyun remained expressionless. Chen Hede walked over to the group, his gaze falling on Xu Zhuohua before turning to Luo Yunqiao with a forced smile.

"So it turns out you had an appointment with a beautiful lady, which has disturbed Young Marshal Cheng's mood. I am truly sorry for offending you."

Chen Hede spoke slowly and deliberately, but his tone always made people uncomfortable. He scolded his subordinate, "Are you stupid? Don't you even recognize Young Marshal Cheng?"

The police officer trembled in front of Cheng Muyun, probably only now realizing that he had offended someone he shouldn't have.

Cheng Muyun pushed the police officer away in disgust, saying, "Keep an eye on your people."

Chen Hede smiled and said, "Young Marshal Cheng has always been a pioneer in the fight against smoking, so we won't check. Please go ahead."

Chen Hede turned to the side and raised his hand. Cheng Muyun snorted coldly and walked towards the door.

Suddenly, a man in the crowd shoved aside the police officer next to him, pulled out a pistol from his pocket, and rushed towards Chen Hede.

A gunshot rang out, and everyone inside the Paramount Ballroom was terrified. Some crouched down, while others ran around in panic.

A second before the man fired, Cheng Muyun turned around, bumped past Chen Hede, and ran towards Xu Zhuohua.

When the gunshot rang out, Xu Zhuohua was so frightened that she instinctively crouched down on the ground.

Luo Yunqiao ran forward and bumped into Cheng Muyun, who was running towards him.

The first shot missed, and the man, as if possessed, fired another shot.

Xu Zhuohua was so frightened that she scrambled around in a panic and didn't hear Cheng Muyun's shouts at all.

Six shots were fired in total. The Paramount Ballroom was in chaos as everyone was running out. Xu Zhuohua had no idea where she had crawled to.

Her hand was stepped on by a high heel, and she staggered to her feet. Then, someone suddenly appeared behind her, hugged her, and protected her head. The two walked forward with the flow of people.

However, Xu Zhuohua knew clearly that this person was not Cheng Muyun, because Cheng Muyun always had a cold, sandalwood fragrance on him, but this person only had the smell of blood.

Just like the smell of that soldier's body after he died in the theater last night.

After the gunfire stopped, half of the officers went to chase the fugitive, while the other half stayed behind to evacuate the crowd.

Cheng Muyun looked down at the person in his arms, and saw that it was the terrified Luo Yunqiao. He pushed him away abruptly, "Where is Shuhua?"

Luo Yunqiao grabbed Cheng Muyun's arm. "I'm so scared, Brother Muyun, can you take me home?"

Cheng Muyun looked around but didn't see that blue figure; everyone else was dressed in Western-style clothes.

His scalp tingled, and a terrifying conclusion came to his mind: Xu Zhuohua was missing!

Cheng Muyun pushed Luo Yunqiao's hand away. "Zhang Qi, take Miss Luo home. Remember, make sure she gets there safely."

After giving his explanation, he followed the crowd out of the Paramount Ballroom and searched for that figure on the street.

But Xu Zhuohua didn't leave the Paramount at all; instead, Chen Hede dragged her up to the second floor.
