Chapter 33 One dig and one utterly silent

Cen felt a chill run down her spine and immediately said, "Alright, alright, stop talking. I'm about to throw up from hearing this."

Perhaps because of the insects, the snake soup in front of her was not so hard to swallow. Cen even picked up two pieces of snake meat and ate them, and no longer felt like vomiting.

After the two finished their snake soup, when the maid came to clear the bowls, Madam Cen suddenly called out to her.

Is there something at the bottom of the bowl?

The maidservant immediately stopped, turned the bowl over, and immediately saw a note stuck to the bottom of the bowl.

Cen reached out and took it, unfolding it directly. Inside, a line of words was written crookedly: There is treasure in Jiang Chengyi's garden. Go dig it up, and you'll find one without making a sound.

She handed the note to the Marquis of Loyalty and Righteousness. After squinting and trying to decipher it, the Marquis said, "Who wrote this? It's uglier than mine."

"What's in Yige'er's garden? Could it be a mountain of gold and silver buried there?" Upon seeing the treasure, he immediately beamed with joy and couldn't help but ask, thinking that the divine artifact had brought money to their manor.

Cen was speechless. She had originally planned to tell Marquis Zhongyi about this matter as soon as he returned, but because of his bad attitude, the two of them were so busy arguing that they forgot about Jiang Chengyi's outrageous behavior.

Now that the third daughter-in-law has sent a note to complain, it's clear that Jiang Chengyi's act of throwing snakes into Qingxi Pavilion today has directly angered Xu Wanying, prompting her to resort to this method of revenge.

"Yi-ge'er's courtyard has been sealed off. Marquis, take him to dig it up. Don't let word of this leak out. Also, he doesn't know about the divine artifact that your third daughter-in-law has. Don't tell him yet." Madam Cen still didn't say what was inside. She felt that it would be more meaningful for the Marquis of Zhongyi to dig it out and see it for himself.

"Hehe, you should have told me sooner, Madam." He rubbed his hands together and couldn't help but laugh.

Cen waved her hand, unwilling to say another word to this fool.
