Chapter 50 Would it be alright to leave the consummation room behind?

Chapter 50 Would it be alright to leave the consummation room behind?

I don't know how much time passed, but it had already gotten dark.

Yan Yize raised his hand to tidy his messy hair, his gaze lingering, his gentle words tinged with reluctance, "It's getting late, I should go back."

Upon hearing this, Shang Xu's eyes revealed an unconcealable sense of loss. Having just poured out his heart to his beloved, he naturally wanted to spend more time with her, even if he didn't say anything.

Yan Yize, who was standing in front of him, saw through his thoughts and couldn't help but chuckle with pleasure. He intertwined his fingers with Yan Yize's and gave him a comforting look. "I'll come over as soon as it's light."

Seeing that he had lowered his eyes and was not speaking, Yan Yize assumed that he had agreed, so he released his hand from his and turned to walk out.

She had only taken one step when a hand tugged at her sleeve. She turned around, smiling gently, and asked, "What's wrong?"

Shang Xu hesitated, as if he was thinking about something important. Yan Yize, seeing this, did not urge him, but waited patiently for him.

After a moment, Shang Xu seemed to have made up his mind. His hesitant eyes looked at her firmly, and perhaps because of nervousness, the hand gripping his clothes tightened considerably. "Your Highness, would you like to stay?"

Her voice was very soft, but Yan Yize still heard it clearly and was immediately surprised. She didn't answer immediately and remained silent for a long time before she finally spoke, "Do you know what you're saying?"

After saying that, Shang Xu lowered his head in embarrassment. Hearing her question, he gritted his teeth, raised his head defiantly, and looked up with unwavering determination.

"Know."

"Your Highness, please stay?" Seeing that she remained unmoved for a long time, Shang Xu softened his voice and pleaded again.

"Your Highness, I am willing."

Since entering the manor, he had been waiting for this day. The days of waiting were too agonizing, and he suddenly didn't want to wait any longer. That way, even if he fell in love with someone else one day, he could still have some beautiful memories.

Yan Yize didn't miss the sadness in his eyes, and her heart ached sharply. She had wronged him before, and if this was what he wanted, she was willing to make it up to him. Besides, they had already gone through the wedding ceremony, so it was only right and proper.

She nodded emphatically. "Okay."

The moon's shadow flickered outside the window, followed by a cool breeze that blew in through the half-open window, causing the dim candlelight to sway.

Yan Yize turned his head, and the swaying light and shadow fell on his face, sometimes bright and sometimes dim. She felt a momentary daze, as if she had returned to her wedding night, but it was different.

Looking back now, there's a tinge of regret; it should have been a beautiful night.

She stopped and turned to meet his puzzled gaze. She smiled, offered no explanation, and simply asked, "Do you still have your wedding dress?"

Shang Xu, unaware of the situation, still nodded truthfully, "Yes."

"How can you consummate your marriage without a wedding dress? Put it on."

Shang Xu understood what he meant, her face flushed and turned bright red, but she still tried to maintain her composure. "Okay."

——

The candlelight flickered, and the room had been transformed. Shang Xu, wearing a red veil and a fiery red wedding dress, sat upright on the side of the bed. Seemingly nervous, his hands were nervously twisting together.

Not far from him stood Yan Yize, also dressed in red. She stood straight, her eyes filled with tenderness, intently watching the person on the bed, her gaze so serious that it seemed she wanted to etch this scene into her mind.

Time passed, and a large patch of wax had accumulated at the bottom of the burning candle. As if he had finally had enough, Yan Yize slowly moved in front of him.

Shang Xu's vision was obscured, but he could feel her approaching movements. His heart pounded, and he nervously swallowed. This scene was so familiar, as if he had returned to the night of his wedding.

Yan Yize leaned down, his eyes brimming with laughter. He pinched the edge of the red veil with his fingertips and slowly lifted it. When it reached a certain height, it met his dark eyes. He glanced at her quickly and then lowered his head shyly.

Yan Yize was in a great mood, and her smile deepened. She took out the prepared Heqin wine and handed it to him with a smile, saying, "May we grow old together year after year."

Shang Xu took it and intertwined his arms with hers, saying, "I am grateful that my wife does not abandon me."

As the red curtains fell, Yan Yize's fingertips traced intimately across Shang Xu's lips, lifting his chin and leaning down slightly. Their soft, warm touches met, a tingling, numbing sensation spreading from their point of contact, irresistibly alluring, like a spell, drawing one deeper and deeper.

Until their lips and tongues met, and the other person was imbued with their own scent.

When they stopped, both of them were breathing heavily, looked up at each other, and smiled unconsciously. An aura of happiness spread in the small space.

Yan Yize placed his hand on his waist, leaned close to his ear, and breathed ambiguously, "A moment of spring night is worth a thousand pieces of gold."

Shang Xu hooked his arm around her back and obediently lay down beneath her. His clothes were spread out, revealing his snow-white skin, rosy ear tips, and flowing black hair that made him even more alluring.

"In that case, Your Highness, please do not delay."

Upon hearing this, Yan Yize's eyes darkened, and the trapped beast in them seemed about to break free of its cage. She lifted his wrist, her fingertips caressing the crimson mark of virginity, and restrainedly placed a kiss on it before casting reason aside.
