Chapter 3: Leaving the Gate
Unbeknownst to Qing'er, she had been in seclusion for half a month. When she disappeared for three days, her sisters sensed something was wrong. When they looked for her, they found a sign on her door indicating she was cultivating, so they stopped bothering her.
The other women all thought it was just a passing fancy, and that she would probably give up after two days of cultivation. But who could have imagined that Qing'er would go into seclusion for half a month? The other women began to worry.
Even the Queen Mother of the West was alarmed. She arrived at the Fairy Tale Hunting Maiden Pavilion.
"Mother." Upon seeing the Queen Mother arrive, Hong'er and the others rose and bowed.
The Queen Mother walked to the stool and sat down, frowning slightly as she asked, "Qing'er, why are you suddenly thinking about cultivation?" A hint of worry flashed in her eyes; had something happened to this child?
The sisters chattered excitedly about what happened that day. After listening, the Queen Mother breathed a sigh of relief. Seeing her daughters' worried expressions, she comforted them, saying, "Don't worry, Qing'er probably saw some picture book again and felt unsafe, so she wanted to cultivate."
The sisters found the Queen Mother's words reasonable and were no longer worried.
Qing'er, engrossed in her cultivation, was unaware of her mother's and sisters' worries. She sat cross-legged on a futon, radiating a faint light. Seeing that her sisters were all there, she smiled playfully and said, "Sisters, did you miss me?"
The sisters excitedly surrounded her. Hong'er grabbed Qing'er's hand and asked anxiously, "Fifth Sister, you've finally come out! We were so worried about you."
"Fifth Sister, do you know how many years you've been in seclusion?" Huang'er asked from the side.
"How many years has it been?" Qing'er was also curious. She didn't know the time while she was cultivating, but she felt it must have been quite a long time.
"Fifth Sister, you've been in seclusion for ten years," Lan'er said softly.
"It's been so long?" Qing'er smiled slightly and said, "I'm sorry to have worried my sisters." After chatting with her sisters for a while, she went to find the Queen Mother. She hadn't seen her for so long, and her mother must be very worried.
The Queen Mother looked at Qing'er with eyes full of satisfaction. "It seems that this cultivation has greatly benefited you. You must not let everyone worry like this again in the future." Qing'er nodded obediently.
She nodded in agreement, but she still needed to continue her cultivation. Her current cultivation level was only Golden Immortal (cultivation levels: Earth Immortal, Heavenly Immortal, Golden Immortal, Taiyi Golden Immortal, Daluo Golden Immortal, Quasi-Saint, Saint). Fortunately, she was an immortal and cultivated immortal techniques, so she didn't have to start from being a mortal. Otherwise, she didn't know how long it would have taken to reach her current cultivation level.
However, she is now considered a minor expert in the Heavenly Court. After all, the higher-ups in the Heavenly Court are not that powerful. The more powerful their magical artifacts are, the higher their magical power is. For example, Laozi and the Queen Mother of the West are currently the most powerful in the Heavenly Court, corresponding to the Taiyi Golden Immortal. Li Tianwang, Yue Lao, and the Barefoot Immortal are only Golden Immortals. Below them are Earth Immortals and Heavenly Immortals. The princesses are only Heavenly Immortals.
