"Will you stop that?" Dr. Mike slapped Karena’s hands away. "I think you are forgetting, this is the office. I think you have already gotten used to acting like a barbarian Karena."
"Have I?" Karena stepped back. Then she laughed. "You know, if Trillium finds out that you didn’t even do the psych eval..."
"I did it. Alright? I told you. I did it."
"So, how did she pass? Clearly, something is wrong with her head."
"She’s not the problem here. What she said about those Hybrids..." Dr. Mike changed the topic. "Shouldn’t we report this to the higher ups?"
"Report what? A baseless accusation?"
"She said she has proof."

"What if she really has proof? What if the elders..."
"The elders would never do that." Karena said. "The elders are consisted of both shifters and hugh ranking witches. Now, why would the shifters allow this to happen?"
"We don’t know but isn’t it better to confirm it?"
"Confirm what? Are you really going to waste your time for something like that?"
"That accusation might sound baseless but what if it’s true?"
"For a doctor to actually believe in ’what if’s’, aren’t you a bit too dense?"
"Karena..."
"Why don’t we do this? I will confirm if those words were true. While you do something to keep her quiet. I mean, you don’t want to expose what you did to her eval, right? She’s not fit to be out there but you did Samuel Sutton a favor. That’s not exactly good for your record, right doctor?"
"I told you, she’s fit to— "
"Pfft... if you won’t do it then you can talk to the deputy after he sees her results."
Mike Waterston frowned. "Alright. I will — "

"What?"
The two of them got out of the room when they heard the loud alarm.
"What is happening?" Dr. Mike asked one of the security personnel who was running towards the prison.
"The new one... I think there’s a fight inside."
"Don’t stop them," Karena immediately said. "Something like this is normal especially if we put an agent inside a place like that."
"What?" Dr. Mike frowned. "No... this isn’t right. Go ahead and stop the chaos."
"I said, don’t touch them!" Karena glared at Dr. Mike. "Let’s go watch them... instead."
"No. We have to stop them." The security personnel responded.
"Are you not going to follow my words? Don’t you know who I am?"
The guard frowned. "Fine... you should just see for yourself."
The guard led them towards the room where one could see the CCTV.
"Do you know what that sound means?" the guard said.
"Isn’t that something for emergency?"
"No. It means someone died inside."
Karena froze. "That fast?"
"You just said it... a Trillium agent. The moment they closed the door, two prisoners immediately attacked her. The iron could stop witches from using spells while the leg brace could stop the shifters from using their strength." The guard sighed. "Everyone inside... has the strength of a normal human."
Karena’s eyes widened as she saw the current state of the prisoners.
"Do you understand now?"
On the video, they could see Ava smiling as she fought against four women. The thing was... Ava was using some sort of stick.
"Where did she get the stick?"
"Who knows?" the guard said. Then he radioed the other guards. "Miss Karena Spencer just told us not to stop her."
"What?" Karena frowned. "I— "
"If this goes on... we will lose at least ten more people." The other guard responded. "Is that order confirmed?"
"No. Wait." Karen gritted her teeth. That damn Ava immediately attacked people so the guards would put her in a solitary confinement. In there, she would be safer from people that might attack her while she’s sleeping.
"Tsk... stop her." Karena said.
The guard immediately relayed the information. Almost immediately, guards wearing black stormed the place. Seeing this, Ava opened both of her hands as if she was welcoming them. Tranquilizers were shot and after a few minutes, everyone who was involved in the fight were on the floor, sleeping. Including Ava.
"That damned..." Karena could only bite her lower lip. The solitary confinement was a place where the baddest of the bad were located. It was situated underground. Surrounded by metals and other things that could stop the supernaturals from using their abilities, it was secured. Too damn secured. In fact, they started calling it tombs because being there felt like someone buried you in a real secure place.
Once Ava reached that place, it would be hard to send people to kill her as only a select few could actually access those rooms. Moreover, everything in that room was monitored thouroughly by the higher ups. And by higher ups, it meant the people working on top of the deputies and elders!
That fucking witch! Karena cursed inwardly.
The scene only made her realize how they all made a mistake.
Ava wanted attention from the start.
She revealed that she was alive. She then waited for Trillium to get her. Ava acted cooperative and didn’t resist the arrest. She did everything to be able to get the attention.
Karena and Assistant Deputy Caro thought that they could easily kill her once she was inside the prison. After all, many people hated Ava inside. But the witch already knew this.
She planned all this!
She narrowed her eyes towards Ava who was calmly breathing. On the camera, it looked like she was sleeping. But Karena knew how Trillium trained their agents to resist tranquilizers. The woman was only pretending to be asleep!
Now, Ava got what she want.
"I need to make a phone call," Karena said before bolting out of the room.
"Then what should I do?" Mr. Mike followed her out. "The moment she goes inside one of those rooms, she would become untouchable."
"I know!" Karena uttered. There were other options. For instance, they could attack her before she reached the tombs. But that would be too obvious. Karena knew that the other Deputy Directors were watching this incident.
Tsk.
If only they were able to convince all the deputies to work with them!
