Chapter 298: Ruched Black Dress - 1

Ava held her throat as she narrowed at Ulva’s back.

"Damnit!" Ava wasn’t so used Just a little more and she would have snapped. At least, the training that she had in that place had some positive results. She composed herself and followed Ulva towards the garden where the latter asked her to once again grow the flowers out of nowhere.

Seeing her stand there, away from everyone else, Ulva smiled.

"Do you understand now, Mildred?" Ulva asked. "Even in this plane, people would always bow down to the strong. Do not let nepotism get to you. As long as you are strong, you will succeed and people will respect you."

"But what would happen if she would tell the prince?"

"She won’t," Ulva said. "Such a weakling actually dared to brandish her fangs in front of me. Did you really think I would let her get away with this?"

"No. Priestess."

"Then you should watch and learn everything from me. As my apprentice, you should develop the qualities needed to assert your dominance over everyone. We are from the house of the Oasis, we are not going to bow down to anyone like Ava."

"I understand, Priestess."

"Good." Ulva had a satisfied smile on her face as she stared at Ava’s back. "Is everything ready?"

"Yes, Priestess."

"Good. We shall see if Matthew would still stay knowing how dirty that woman is." Bending Ava’s will isn’t exactly the end goal that she wanted to see. Ulva wanted to show Matthew that Ava wasn’t anything special.

That man actually dared to kill one of her witches! Ulva sent that woman to try and tempt Matthew. She, not only have the same frame as Ava, she looked almost identical. Aside from this, the woman was a very good witch and is an expert at seduction.

Ulva never expected Matthew to immediately kill the woman.

What was so good with Ava?

To Ulva’s eyes, she’s nothing but a young witch. Perhaps Baba is her master but Baba is not even on this plane right now. And even if Baba would want to come back, Ulva would be here to deal with that woman.

At the end of the day, Ava doesn’t really have anything aside from the people backing her.

"Priestess... I think she doesn’t really know how to do it." Mildred said.

"That or she is just good at pretending." Ulva still refused to believe that someone like Ava who was trained by Baba couldn’t do it!

"Then Priestess what are we going to do? Tonight— "

"There is no need to worry. Tonight, she would learn a very... dangerous lesson. Go ahead and talk to her, tell her to do it or she can just start receiving the guests. Arrange someone to make her pretty." Ulva smirked. "The prettier, the better."

"Yes, Priestess."

And just like that, Mildred walked towards Ava who was actually busy thinking about something else. While Ava was staring at the illustrations, she couldn’t help but think about the Pits. For some reason, she thought that she had seen these types of flowers in that place before.

Though, she wasn’t really that sure.

But thinking of the pits, somehow reminded her of what happened to Matthew.

Matthew and Josef.

They were the same and also separate entities. A demon and a Lycan. Now that Josef is using Matthew’s body and claiming it as his, then where was the real Matthew? Where could he be? Was he still somewhere inside that body?

If he was then... is there a way to wake him up and suppress Josef?

But there is another possibility.

Another possibility was actually scaring her.

What if... what if the other Matthew is inside the Pits? What if for some unknown reason, Matthew was sucked into that place?

Ava bit her lips.

"Miss Woods, please follow me."

"Hm?" Ava lifted her eyes away from the illustration. "Where?"

"Let the other witch finish that. We don’t have much time. For now, follow me. We are going to receive the guests."

"Receive guests?" Ava lifted an eyebrow. "The Priestess told me to finish this."

"The Priestess saw you just stand there like a statue. She believed you are not capable of doing that. So she asked me to take you to the palace so you can start receiving guests."

For some reason, the phrase receiving guests sounded wrong to Ava. But she couldn’t understand which part of it was wrong. Of course, Ava immediately noticed the malice hidden behind Mildred’s smile.

"Alright," Ava perked up. She followed Mildred towards what looked like a dressing room with colorful dresses and witches doing each other’s makeup.

"Hey... Mara are you here?"

"I am!" Mara came running out from somewhere. She was carrying a large black dress that looked larger than her.

"Find something beautiful for her. Make her look good."

"Oh?" Mara looked at Ava. "Alright."

"I will come back in two hours."

"Two hours?" Ava smiled.

Mildred stared at her face before her eyes traveled down then she said. "Make it four." Then she looked at Mara. "I don’t want a single hair on her."

"Alright!" Mara said with enthusiasm. "Please follow me, Miss Woods."

Before Ava could say another word, Mara hauled her into a separate room and used her magick to remove Ava’s clothes.

"What is— "

"Shhh..." Mara said. "Go to the tub. Let me clean you up."

At that time, Ava didn’t mean what it means to be ’clean’. If she did, she would have said no. If she did, she would have pushed Mara away and just use her magick to ’clean’ her up.

Of course, when Ava realized what was going on. Mara already started to use wax on her skin. freeweɓnovēl.coɱ

Ava let out a few curses before she finally decided to do it her way. She has magick! Why was she suffering like this?

Soon, Ava realized that not many women were actually using their magick to do this because not many witches that were here were as powerful as Ava.

But this isn’t just the only thing that Ava realized.

Aside from the fact that these women were weaker, they were also very beautiful and seductive.

A sinister glint appeared in Ava’s eyes as she instructed Mara to leave her alone... for now.
