Chapter 312: A Very Attractive Pawn

"Ava?" Amore didn’t even know that Ava was here! When she arrived, she went straight into her room as she thought of her plan to talk to Ulva and asked her about the existence of Dream Walkers. Why would that woman...

Amore tried to focus. Yes. That’s right. That, Lycan Prince!

Amore originally thought that something had happened to Ava because of that incident with Trillium. Because of that incident, the other council members were all investigated. Luckily, they were able to sort out the mess. However, that incident still limited their power and influence. Right now, some executives at Trillium are eying them preventing them from doing what they wanted.

According to what Ulva had said, Amore just needed to use the spell of Ava. She will do the rest. Ulva also said that Ava is a strong witch so she needed someone strong to be able to hold on for at least ten minutes. After that, Ulva said that she is going to personally end Ava.

Amore couldn’t trust Ulva.

But she didn’t have any choice.

Right now, Ulva was the only one that could tell her about the Dream Walker that could help her and Romeo. She bit her lips and started pacing inside her room. The conference would last for three days but Ulva assured her that she would have plenty of time to target Ava.

Of course, Ulva also explained the reason why she was doing this. Ava was under the protection of Matthew and she had been having an affair with the latter which was supposed to be forbidden. How could a witch and a Lycan treat each other like they were lovers?

Witches were the reason why the Lycans had been suffering!

However, Matthew was a Lycan Prince and it wouldn’t be easy for Ulva to scold a Prince. Moreover, Matthew had been protecting Ava all the time. Except for this time, Matthew left this plane.

It was the only opportunity.

After a while, Amore sat on the king-size bed that was obviously too large for her. The luxury inside this room isn’t comparable to what she had outside but she didn’t show any excitement or even happiness. Amore didn’t want to be there in the first place. She wanted to work behind the scenes.

Instigating some families to raise hell was just part of her and the witch council’s plan. But they weren’t actually planning to reveal their involvement. Obviously, this has changed because of the Dream Walkers.

She recalled the book that she found about the elusive dream walkers. The book contained everything that a Dream walker could easily do. It was haunting and those gifts shouldn’t have existed. But they do. And now... Amore is going to do everything just to find one.

..........

"Are you certain we could trust her?" Ulva asked another one of her apprentices, Sharlena. "Do you think she hated Ava so much she would willing to cause chaos in the middle of an event like this?" she was banking on Amore’s hate for Ava. Was it enough for her to attempt to kill Ava?

"It wasn’t her hate," Sharlena said. "It was her thirst for the name of a dream walker."

"Foolish." Ulva hissed. When was the last time she had met one? That man that she met a long long time ago was not someone that anyone could just approach. Cunning yet cold, that Shaman wouldn’t dare to kill you if you are standing in his way of knowledge.

Right.

That Shaman just wanted nothing more but knowledge. And perhaps that was the reason why he was able to avoid all those people who had been trying to use Dream Walkers for their own personal reasons.

"A dream walker, huh," she uttered as she closed her eyes. Dream walkers are pretty special because of their gifts. The ability to walk between dimensions and even create their own plane could easily make them comparable to a god. Fighting against them is not only troublesome, but it could also easily get anyone, even someone like Ulva get killed.

This wasn’t just because they are really powerful. It was because of that troublesome ability.

Ulva haven’t had the chance to fight against that Shaman but she heard stories and claims of the people who saw him fight. That man would easily isolate any space, making himself or the one that he was fighting with, invisible. This not only made it harder for an outsider to observe the fight, but this would also give that man the advantage as the space now belongs to him.

Now... imagine being inside a small balloon with air. Everything that happened inside that balloon cannot be seen by the people outside and the owner of that balloon could control everything inside, including the air that the opponent breathes, their mass, and all of the molecules inside their body. He could easily make his opponents explode if he wanted to!

Not even Ulva could do something like that!

Of course, this would need extreme control of their abilities and maybe not many dream walkers could do that, but who knows?

Since those people started taking Dream walkers and using them for their personal agenda, the other dream walkers slowly vanished and had become very illusive. They could travel through dimensions so they could easily hide from their enemies.

"Why do you think someone like her would need a dream walker?" Ulva asked.

"There have been rumors of her son’s condition. It was said that her son no longer had a soul and she wanted a dream walker to get the soul back from wherever it was."

"Hah!" Ulva sneered. What kind of thinking is that? Once a soul leaves the physical body, it only had a few hours at most to return. Unless of course, they have a very strong spiritual body which is impossible for someone in this Realm. But after a few hours, the soul would forever leave the body. Meaning, there is no other way for a soul to come back to that body.

Or perhaps dream walkers could save Amore’s son?

Actually, even Ulva doesn’t have any idea.

"Interesting," Ulva smirked. "A mother who would do everything for her son." Isn’t she a very attractive pawn?

....

Ok, so I expected a splash banner today and that didn’t happen! I told my CE I will do the mass release after the banner. She told me I was already given one when I didn’t see anything about the banner! I am so upset, I cried. I worked hard for that banner! T>T
