Matthew
Fingal’s Cave
Staffa Scotland
Matthew took a step inside the cave. Surrounded by lava that has long solidified a long time ago, Matthew eyed the hexagonal columns that became the walls of the cave.
Mysterious yet deadly.
The sound of the sea kissing the sharp column echoed inside.
Despite the darkness, Matthew languidly walked along the sharp rock-like structures, his footsteps light, his hands on his back. It was as if he was just taking a stroll inside his own place.
How long has it been since he visited this place?
In the past, this was nothing but an island of rocks avoided by sailors and travelers. Right now, the place has become the top tourist spot in the islands of Scotland.
Still, he couldn’t see anything that changed.
A thousand years.
A long thousand years and the place was still as beautiful as when he left.
After a few minutes, he finally arrived at what looked like the end of the cave. It was a wall full of hexagonal columns that stretched up unto the dome-like ceiling.
Majestic and dangerous.
It was just how he liked it.
He touched one of the columns and feel the place vibrate with happiness. It was like a child who couldn’t hide its smile as it welcomed its father.
"ora af agu ezexes"
"ora af agu quuru"
"ora af agu beslahs"
"eswiga fra islaph"
"swecele islaph lo"
In the name of the father.
In the name of the son.
In the name of the holy god.
The Island has died.
Close the Island’s doors.
Almost immediately, the rock beneath his hand started to glitter. The rock beneath his feet trembled and a crying sound echoed inside the cave.
When the trembling stopped, a door made of fire appeared in front of Matthew.
Before taking a step towards the door, Matthew used a dagger to cut his palm. He let his blood flow down from his hand to the rock near his feet.
Then he watched as the thirsty rock greedily absorbed his blood.
Matthew smiled in satisfaction. Then he chanted another language and slowly the door vanished.
This was just one of the many doors that he once used when he traveled dimensions. When he was trapped, someone else had used it. Now Matthew is going to close everything.
He knew this was just the start of a long and tedious journey. But he is going to do his best to achieve his revenge.
"My lord..." just as the door vanished, a shadow kneeled near him. "I have news."
"Hm?"
"We found the ring."
"Oh?"
"We saw it. An Alpha kept it in a vault. They are considered one of the most powerful packs in Northern US."
"Let’s go," Matthew said.
"My lord..."
"What is it?"
"The Madam is currently trying to make some opportunities for us to go into the Werewolf’s territory without problems."
Matthew snorted. Patience was never one of his traits. If those werewolves dare to oppose him after stealing from him, he is going to burn them to the ground. He wasn’t going to leave anything. Not even the ashes of their bones.
He is going to level their mansions to the ground.
"Tell me everything..." Matthew said. Oh, he had been wanting to wreak havoc since he came back. He wanted to announce his presence to his enemies. He wanted to wait for them as they arrived in batches, hoping to kill him with their combined strength. Ah... he had dreamed of seeing their blood for so long he could almost smell them.
A thick horrible bloodlust permeated the air. Even the Shadow had to stop talking for a few seconds, trying to adjust to the suffocating intent to kill that could infect everyone around it.
Seeing the shadow struggle to breathe, Matthew beamed.
How could he do that when Ava was just around the corner waiting for him to come back?
His priority was her well-being.
He couldn’t just let his enemies find her again.
After hearing everything, Matthew beamed.
So, Ava has been building connections with the Werewolves. And she was doing it for his sake?
Almost immediately the bloodlust disappeared.
"It seems that leaving Thorrod next to her was the right thing to do," Matthew mumbled. On the outside, his woman was glaring at him, pretending to hate him. But at the end of the day, she was doing everything she could to help him.
In the end, she was still the same.
Confusing and lovely.
Beautiful and complicated.
She was exactly like the world.
His world.
"I understand," he added. "Since she wanted to do it, let her. I will accompany her towards the werewolf’s territory." And maybe just burn them while she wasn’t watching. He could easily tell her it was an accident. He had lost control of his newfound ability.
"We are going back..." he said. It was only a night and he was already missing her. The more he stayed away, the more pain he could physically feel. He needed to finish marking her. He needed that mark on her neck.
But he would never do it without her permission.
That would only make her hate him.
He couldn’t do that.
His eyes turned red before they turned gold then back to silver.
He needed his ring to completely fuse with this body. And once he is done, he would immediately mark his woman. His Eve.
"Hold on..." he said. "Shall we bring flowers?"
The Shadow that was still kneeling on the rocks said nothing.
"Answer me."
"Yes, my lord. We should bring something back."
"Like a gift?"
"Yes, my lord."
"So not just flowers... huh. Then what do you think is the most expensive thing in this world?"
"That would be antimatter, my lord."
Matthew blinked. Surely, he couldn’t just give Ava antimatter... right?
Especially not when she was still angry because of that damn ring.
"Tell me something else. Unique and expensive something that she would surely like."
"Uhhh... a telescope."
Telescope?
Matthew smirked. Should he steal the biggest telescope in this world?
