"Alpha John, this is the files of the four people resting inside the guest room of the guest house." Alpha John’s assistant said as she handed him four folders. "I believe you need to see this," she opened the first one revealing a piece of paper with Matthew’s face on it.
"A Lycan?" Alpha John’s eyebrow lifted, and his lips turned up into a chilly smile. "Must be because of that meeting..." he muttered. "You may leave. Make sure to provide them with the best care."
"I told you to join that event— " a scratchy voice suddenly echoed behind him.
"And risk revealing you?"
"They cannot do anything to me!" the voice continued as the opened window nearby slammed shut. The wind whistled inside the Alpha’s office. A rancid smell filled the room.
"You are underestimating the Lycans and their witches." Alpha John got up and looked out of the floor-to-ceiling windows. Outside of his office was the view of a man-made forest that his ancestors created just for their pack. It had taken years to create such thick greeneries.
"The Lycan is mine!" the voice echoed.
"I know you would say that."
"I don’t want to hear any buts."
"Again, I knew you would say that."
"Stop being sarcastic. Kill the Lycan. Give him to me."
"It was a Lycan Prince."
"A Prince couldn’t do anything to me."
"We shall wait and see..." Alpha John said. While he was strong enough to fight against one Lycan, he was someone that doesn’t like surprises. He would always prepare for everything and create backup plans.
That was the reason why his pack became one of the strongest in Canada.
And soon... all over America.
"Don’t you want to get younger?" the voice said. "Forever?"
"We shall not talk about this now!" Alpha John said.
"Not now? But I thought you wanted to be the King of all Werewolves?"
"I never said such a thing!"
The voice started laughing eerily. Alpha John shivered inwardly. If not for the fact that his goals were aligned with this sinister creature, he would have killed it a long time ago.
"Kill me?" the creature let out another laugh until it started coughing. "I can read your mind... idiot."
"I know," Alpha John said, his face looking morose. He intentionally thought about killing the creature to let it that he isn’t playing games there.
He agreed and made a deal because the creature agreed to make him immortal. Someone that would never grow old.
He would be older than Lycans and powerful witches.
He would be someone respected and feared.
He would be someone so strong even the mention of his name was enough to scare someone to their death.
Before meeting the creature fifteen years ago, Alpha John was nothing but a lanky youngster who isn’t even the next Alpha of their pack. He was weak and had been severely bullied as his mother was nothing but an Omega. Meeting the creature in an accident was one of his greatest blessings and curse.
"Thinking about the past would not change anything..." the voice said. "What we need is women..."
Alpha John narrowed at his reflection. Women. Endless women.
The creature’s food was the misery of the women that Alpha John had taken from their packs. After taking them, he would satisfy his own urges and then leave them to die. It wasn’t really tortured as he would never hurt them. Not physically at least.
Making women fall in love was something he was very good at. Then leaving them until they die from their broken heart was his expertise.
He was born good-looking. Tall and muscular, women flock towards him since he agreed with the creature’s deal. But he was never someone that was easily satisfied by sex and love. To him, power is the best thing that he could have.
When one has power, no one would bully him and his pack. No one would even dare mention his name and his mother being an omega.
That’s right.
Power is all he needs.
"Kill— Kill— " the voice echoed once again. "I want the Lycan’s body!"
"We cannot just kill a Lycan without alerting the others— "
"Lies!" the voice said. "We can kill whoever it is that we want to! Kill!"
"Kill!"
"Kill!"
"Kill!"
"Kill!"
"Kill!"
"Will you shut up!?" Alpha John said. "The experiments— "
"I want the Lycan!" the voice interrupted him. "Not one of those people is stronger than the Lycan! We cannot give them the Lycan! The Lycan is mine!"
Hearing the voice’s lunacy, Alpha John shook his head.
"This isn’t the first time that you did something like this. The last time that you killed someone powerful, the vessel wasn’t able to take you."
"Eh... hehehe... but this Lycan is stronger than that witch!"
"What about the Priestess in that village? Priestess Anna should be very powerful too. Our people are watching their village closely. We can— "
"I have no interest in anyone other than that Lycan!"
Again, he shook his head.
"Attracting everyone’s attention is a very important matter. Trillium is already involved in this matter. We cannot be careless!"
"But I want the Lycan!"
"Tsk— " Alpha John’s mood turned sour. The thing is, he cannot control the creature! Even if he wanted it to stop, it wouldn’t listen and do everything to have what it wanted.
"Then what about that phantom?" Alpha John said. "I thought you lost him?"
"We— " the voice said. "I cannot control the phantom now. But we can... I can once I have that Lycan’s body."
"How certain are you that a Lycan vessel would survive?"
"Two percent."
"That is better than negative." Usually, the voice would say zero or something negative. This is the first time that it actually said a positive number.
However, fighting against a Lycan isn’t only hard. It can be very tricky since he was with Trillium!
He went to his table and started opening the files.
"Hm?" he lifted an eyebrow. One Lycan, One witch, One Werelion, and one Werewolf? This is a very unique combination. A rare and dangerous combination.
