"This place is going to collapse soon," she said coldly. This isn’t the time to be emotional right now. She already had too many things to take care of. If she let herself be an emotional mess then she wouldn’t be able to come out of here alive. "We need to leave as soon as possible!" she took a step in but was suddenly pushed out by an invisible wind.
"You— " Ava’s eyes widened. Her father could use magick even if he was tied up with iron and bronze! "You can use magick?"
"I am not here because I am weak. That’s all you need to know. Now... leave."

"Leave and forget about me."
With that, a stronger wind pushed her out of the room and the door closed on its own.
"What the— " Ava wasn’t even sure what to do anymore! If he was able to do it even if he was tied up it only means, he might be more powerful than her or maybe even the Shaman!
She swallowed. That means, her father would be able to take care of himself even if this place turn into hell.
Damnit! She thought inwardly. Sadly, she had no time to even think about it. She turned herself invisible once again and teleported herself toward Jude’s location. She needed to destroy this place!

"This is going to hurt a little bit— " Dr. Ochea said.
"Wait..."
"What is it now, Mr. Caro?" Dr. Ochea frowned.
"Well... I wasn’t too— "
"I didn’t know that Mr. Caro would fear needles," Alpha John said. "I haven’t met anyone— or any werelion who feared needles."
Jude gave an awkward laugh. The thing is, Ava hasn’t given him a signal yet! Meaning, she’s not here to stop them. The signal was supposed to be a tap on his arm. But— His thoughts halted when he felt a soft tap on his shoulder.
"Alright... I can do it now," he said.
"Are you certain?"
Jude nodded. Of course, he had to fake his fear because he was waiting for Ava. And now that Ava is already here, there is no need for him to delay the matter anymore.
"Alright... we will now start with the first treatment. The patient’s name is Jude Caro. Patient number 3284A. Strength and speed boost. Possible side effects are only behavioral. There are no proven effects that could alter someone’s physical appearance." Dr. Ochea had a sinister smile on his face as she handed the first tube of treatment to his assistant.
Please relax. This will hurt but it should be gone anytime soon.
Jude nodded. Then he watched as the needle neared his shoulder.
**BOOM**
A loud boom shook the laboratory. The assistant fell to his butt while Dr. Ochea and Alpha John looked at each other.
"What— What was that?" Jude paled. Since he was strapped down on an operating bed, he wasn’t able to move. But the sudden explosion really surprised him as well. When Ava said that she was going to destroy this place, she wasn’t really kidding! Jude immediately told himself not to become Ava’s enemy. It would be very dangerous to be that woman’s enemy!
**BOOM**
Before Alpha John could instruct his people to check it out, another explosion echoed. This time, it was stronger, louder. Debris from the ceiling started to fall.
"This— " Jude got up and removed the things that they used to strap him on the bed. "We need to get out of here!" he said.
"Mr. Caro calm down. That might be — "
**BOOM**
Another boom echoed followed by the sound of something crashing against the floor. Then a loud alarm echoed.
"What the fuck! We need to get out of here now!" Jude said. He approached Alpha John and Dr. Ochea.
"I am going to check it," Dr. Ochea said.
"No. We should leave now. Or we will get— "
**CRASH**
Another loud crash echoed. This time they knew that it was another part of the underground facility. Jude showed panic on his face as he held Dr. Ochea. "Hey... don’t leave and continue the treatment," he said. Of course, he had to make himself as believable as possible.
"I said put it on me!" Jude hissed. "You can’t leave without it!"
"Are you insane? Let me go. I am going to check what is— "
"Mr. Caro calm down... let him go. He is going to check what happened. He will be back soon."
"What about the treatment?" Jude asked. "We need to finish it!"
"Mr. Caro!?" Alpha John hissed. "Let him go."
"Why would I? I came here for the treatment! Give it to me!"
"Mr. Caro!" This time, Dr. Ochea yelled at him and forcefully remove his hand from his wrist. Just as Jude was about to hold him again, Alpha John came to the rescue. He grabbed Jude’s wrist and forced him to face him.
"Snap out of it Mr. Caro! You will have your own treatment soon!"
Jude frowned. He looked at where Dr. Ochea was going. He already did his best. He could only hope that Ava has enough time to rescue the children and the other prisoners that they were holding for their research!
"We should get out of here... just to be safe." Alpha John said.
"No. We need that treatment."
**CRASH**
This time, the floor started to shake. The sound of metal clanking filled the room. Then there was another explosion. This time, the explosion hit the area where Jude and Alpha John were standing. The two of them found a shelter to save themselves but they had to move away from each other.
Jude let out a curse.
This is what he was talking about!
If Ava is not here, he would die in this place all alone, crushed in between the rocks!
He started running towards the exit but another part of the ceiling fell, almost hitting him. He hissed when he realized that there was blood on his shirt. Something must have hit him in the stomach!
He clicked his tongue and continued running. No matter what, his survival is a must!
