Soon, the news about the new Lycan Queen reached the ears of the other shifters and the rest of the supernatural world.
While the witches have different reactions when they heard the news, most of the shifters were quite upset about it. To them, the Lycans are arrogant creatures who always see themselves as someone who was born superior to other shifters simply because they were stronger.
Obviously, many of them don’t actually treat the Lycans as someone superior but were forced to bow down to someone stronger than them.
"You do understand the repercussions of this news, right?" Drigo asked his younger for the umpteenth time. Honestly, he immediately believed Matthew’s words as he had witnessed Matthew’s reactions in the past. Not only this, he experienced the brunt of his anger just because Ava was missing.
So when Matthew declared that Ava is his mate, Drigo immediately believed his brother. That was the only explanation for Matthew’s almost insane reaction. Moreover, Drigo believed that this was the reason why Matthew had become so strong.
That’s right.
Before Matthew left this plane, he wasn’t that powerful. His blood might be purer but that didn’t mean anything else aside from the fact that his children will have better genes too. At this time, Drigo already stopped asking questions. Though he still wanted to do a lot of things and was curious about this weird mating thing, he decided to just stop asking any questions. It wouldn’t do him any good.
"I do."
"Telling them about the findings that we have... are you certain you want to do this?" Drigo had suspicions. For some reason, a part of him thought that Matthew just wanted everyone to know about it so he could let the others do the work for him? This isn’t a fair assumption but can you really blame him?
This was based on his experience.
"I don’t know. I am not going to tell them anything." Matthew stared at him. "You are."
"What?"
"As my representative."
"What?" Drigo was speechless. He wanted to say a lot of things. He wanted to curse him to death. But in the end, he could only ask. "What did you say?"
"I said, you will do all the talking. I will be with you. Watching."
"What are you— Hey— How could you do this!? Aren’t you the King!?" Drigo got up, his face already red from anger. He didn’t want to do it again! No. He didn’t want to receive the brunt of everyone’s reaction, of everyone’s anger! He would never do it again! Not even if Matthew kill him.
"You will explain everything that we have found out so far. Then I will tell them everything about the cosmos."
"What’s that supposed to mean?
"It means... you will be presenting the results that you came up with in that place."
"What about the Shaman? What about Baba? Or maybe even Ava?" Drigo called Ava by her name because Ava didn’t want anyone to call her ’her majesty’. She insisted that they call her by her name especially if they are in a private setting.

"They won’t do it. But they will be there. So... you don’t have to worry about everything."
"I don’t trust you," he glared at Matthew. This man was younger than him and yet, he was ordering him to do all sorts of crazy stuff. Sometimes, he wondered if Matthew just wanted him to die or something. Why was he being mean all the time?
"Alright." Matthew nodded.
"Stop smiling. That isn’t a compliment."
"I know," Matthew said.
"No. You don’t! You just want to do something insane. How could you even think of inviting everyone here?"
Matthew shrugged in response. This wasn’t his intention but it was the only way. He needed those people here as he undergo all the trials to become the owner of this plane.
"What about Ava? Isn’t she your Queen?"
"Yes. But did you really think, people would listen if Ava would do all the talking? They would probably mock her or something."
"Mock her... if that happens then they would end up dead." Would Matthew really allow them to mock Ava?
"See?" Matthew smirked at him. "You finally get it."
Drigo frowned, unimpressed. So, Matthew would never allow people to mock the new Queen. Basically, he just wanted to avoid another bloody situation. Matthew was a new King yet, he already showed everyone that he can be very cruel and brutal. The death of the members of the de Cene family was akin to a wake-up call.
It showed how strong Matthew is.
But not many people knew that the event was like a bait that Matthew set for everyone.
First Matthew announced that Ava is his queen. Then he told everyone that they can leave if they want to. Then when someone tried to revolt, he dealt with us as quickly as possible, showing everyone his undeniable strength and abilities.
When everyone saw how strong he was, the rebellion in their minds immediately disappeared. Obviously, they had to accept that they cannot beat Matthew. Now, they have two other choices. Leave or join him.
With that kind of strength, Matthew is now the strongest Lycan who ever lived. So.... Leaving him and this Kingdom doesn’t really make sense.
While Lycans are naturally stronger than most shifters, they are weak when they are alone. So, it would be stupid for them to leave this Kingdom and the alliance just because they dislike the Queen. These people are both experienced and smart. Naturally, they would only do the things that would give them more benefits.
In this case, making Matthew their King and Ava their Queen is the smartest choice that they could have.
"The other nobles wanted to meet you," Drigo said. "They wanted to know more about their Queen and the changes that this will bring to the plane."
"I will be leaving for a few days so my Queen will meet them in my stead."
"You want Ava to meet... a group of older Lycans?" Drigo asked. Was Matthew that confident that Ava would be able to handle a room full of egoistical men who looked down on witches?
