"I know he would be able to handle it," Ava smiled as she held Matthew’s hand. "It’s going so well— " they had chosen to watch Drigo from behind the scenes. And that meant using Ava’s magick to watch everything that is happening in the hall.
They watched as the werewolves tried to argue about the results of the investigation and even accused them of creating their own result just so they could use them to convince the rest of the supernatural world to fight an invisible enemy. Another one tried to convince the witches that those were fabricated because the Lycans wanted to create a kingdom of supernaturals with them as their king.
Obviously, many witches ignored it after seeing their brothers and sisters being experimented on. Then Drigo started presenting the werewolves that had been experimented on in Canada.
Before Matthew went missing, Ava was dealing with another pack that had experimented on rogues. And before that, she had dealt with hybrid experimentations by humans.
"Are you trying to tell us that these people wanted to... invade our realm?" one of the werewolves asked.
"Perhaps," Drigo cooly said. "Perhaps not."
"What doe that mean?"
"It means that the focus of this meeting was to inform you about the experimentation. The Lycans are going to let you decide what to do next. We just wanted to give out information that we believe would be very beneficial. We are not leading anyone nor are we going to try to use our authority in the supernatural world. The Lycans would aim to protect our own."
"So... you are not planning to create an alliance?"
"That might be one of the options that we can discuss in the future but the Lycans don’t want to implore or influence anyone. We are going to stay in our planes but we will welcome the supernatural that wanted to have access to our plane. For anyone who’s interested, Miss Francheska Graydon will help you with the process."
Drigo said. Despite his serious expression, Ava could clearly see that proud look on his face. Yes. The changes inside the plane include welcoming new occupants to the plane. This means, increasing the population and creating a system that would help the supernaturals feel safer from the humans.
This was Ava’s idea.
As someone who grew up without knowing how to control her magick, Ava had been through a lot. She didn’t have an idea of how to control herself and thus; she was always careful not to expose her abilities. So, creating a safe place for younger witches is necessary.
"Are you saying that you are going to accept witches?" someone from the back asked.
"Yes, we are."
"Not as slaves?"
Murmurs and gasps echoed inside the hall.
"A few days ago, we already changed the laws inside the plane. We no longer support slavery and— "
"How could the Lycans just abandon something that has become a tradition? I don’t believe it!"
"Me too!"
Instead of losing his cool, Drigo remained calm. He then smiled and said. "Your opinion about that doesn’t affect the past or the future. You can choose to believe everything or not. That is completely up to you. The Lycans have created new laws in these lands. Again, we will welcome everyone who wanted to stay on this plane. We will be building schools for the supernatural, including witches and all shifters. We will be building facilities that aim to support our future plans."
Again, this was a part of Ava’s plan. This plane had been stuck in the past because of the previous Kings. Isn’t it time to change that?
Obviously, Drigo’s words riled up the crowd.
A plane only for the supernaturals sounded too good to be true!
In the end, Drigo gave them all the information before they leave.
However, this didn’t mean that the news about the changes in the Lycan plane ended with the discussion. In fact, the exact opposite happened.
The news started spreading like wildfire!
While many groups of shifters and covens of shifters felt suspicious about the news, many of them also felt curious.
They had been hiding from the humans for too long that many of them had actually forgotten their kind! They were doing their best to blend in, to avoid attracting attention!
So what would happen if they live in a world where they are free to do what they want?
Just thinking about their children who can now play with other shifters was enough to make their hearts beat faster
"A world for the supernatural..." a woman’s voice cracked as she looked at her grandsons and granddaughter playing not far away from her. As someone who had been living in the middle of the forest, trying their best to avoid the human’s attention, Drigo’s words gave the woman all sorts of emotions.
There was joy and excitement and obviously doubts.
"Mother, I think they are simply exaggerating things," her son who was a werelion, said. "We the werelions have isolated ourselves in this forest just to avoid the attention of the weaker ones. But we aren’t ignorant. How could something like that happen? Isn’t it too good to be true? Perhaps they just wanted to trick us into going there?"
"Now, why would the Lycans specifically trick our family?" the woman said. As the current head of their family, she was in charge of all major decisions, especially the ones that concerns the safety of the werelions living in her small village. freёweɓnovel_com
"I want you to gather more news about the matter." The woman said.
"Are you really interested to know more about that news? Isn’t it just mere gossip?" her son said.
"A smoke wouldn’t exist without fire. There must be some truth to it."
"What would happen if it was indeed the truth?"
The woman looked at her forty-year-old son. Just like her grandchildren, her son never had any proper education as he was rather large and intimidating. Humans had bullied him in the past because of his ignorance and when he tried to fight back, the humans called the police and they took him to a prison cell. Because of this incident, the woman decided to move to a forest where she and her family could live away from the vicious humans.
The woman met her son’s eyes.
"Aren’t you tired of living in a place like this?" she asked. Her son didn’t answer, but he didn’t need to. She could see the answer swirling in his determined gaze.
