Chapter 369 A Glimmer of Hope

"Your physical strength is quite impressive. I didn't kill you with one arrow?" General Pei said to Wang Yao with some surprise.

"You filthy brat who loves to sneak up on people from behind, you didn't even kill me with an arrow last time," Wang Yao muttered to himself, but he didn't have the strength to say it aloud. He felt himself being placed face down on the horse's back, and soon another person sat down next to him, and then the horse began to trot slowly.

After running only a few steps, two large, snow-white wings suddenly sprouted from the horse's ribs. After flapping them a few times, Wang Yao felt as if he had taken to the sky and was flying swiftly into the distance.

Everything on the ground quickly receded from Wang Yao's sight. He could only feel the incessant sound of the wind in his ears and the stinging sensation on his cheeks from the feathers on the horse's wings. They burned and shone in rows on the city walls, on the corners of buildings, on flagpoles along the roads, and on the windows of every household. It was as if a divine city was illuminated by countless torches, its splendor enhanced by their brilliance.

Pegasus folded its wings, and Wang Yao saw that the ground was covered with wide, neat strips of blue stone, the torchlight flickering on them. He turned his head and looked closely at the horse's belly. Where the hell did the horse's wings go? How did they disappear as soon as they were folded?

"Pei Yuanqing, the deputy cavalry general under the command of the Lord of the Sun-Shooting Divine Realm, is on official business in the Sea-Reclaiming Divine Realm and has come to pay his respects to the Lord of the Sea-Reclaiming Divine Realm!" Wang Yao heard General Pei call out loudly.

"Since you've come to pay your respects, why don't you dismount!" a cold female voice shouted.

"Yes!" Wang Yao felt General Pei dismount, but left him on the horse.
